A hell of a lot easier and quicker than rice balls.
Poutine... with shredded cheese.
Get some curds on that man!
So I just found out today that someone I know used to be Stephen Harper's neighbour and played soccer with his kids before he was Prime Minister. She said he's nice, I don't believe that for one second.

No curds at No Frills, no time to go to a cheese shop, no extra budget either.

Why is it so hard to believe that someone you don't like politically is capable of being a nice person and reasonable human being in their private life?

Theres an alley just off East 15th on Lonsdale Ave. it attracts absolutely abysmal drivers.
Its used as an unloading zone for the local shops, but old people don't understand that and get really impatient trying to drive into the alley. 15th gets these massive traffic jams because multiple old folks want to drive into this alley.
And for some reason everyone thinks its a cool idea to breakcheck ambulances with their sirens on around there.

I have a fancy rice cooker with a sushi rice setting if you want to check it out some time.
Stuff I should buy before you check it out would probably include rice vinegar and nori from the Sanko down on queen street. You've been there, right?

Free that Saturday, I think.
I was talking poutine at work and my coworkers thought it was a sex thing. Oklahoma is worst state, preferred living on that CAN border.
I've lost a lot of faith in our healthcare system lately. Despite having multiple blood tests throughout high school, I didn't find out that I had H-Pylori until earlier this year, despite having the symptoms four years ago. It ruined most of my school career, because of the vitamin B12, iron deficiency, and anemia that it brings on. Even after having my blood checked at sick kids, they didn't say anything about the multiple health problems that would have shown up. The schizophrenia-like symptoms I was experiencing led to me literally thinking that I was going crazy, and affected my personal relationships to an extreme amount.
After getting it dealt with, I was the healthiest I can remember being in four years, which honestly felt like my life. I now have a stomach ulcer due to the H-Pylori, and it's causing me to throw up blood near every day, and feel abdominal pain nearly all day. I saw a doctor, I was in her office for around five minutes, she touched my stomach and gave me a prescription for a gastritis medication and referrals to a clinic where I could get an upperGI. She also told me to stop smoking cannabis (Something I do less than once a week because of where I currently live, and the only thing that takes away my extreme stomach pain and allows me to eat) because "I could have a heart attack within the first two hours of smoking"
We drove 30 minutes to the clinic she referred me to, just to be told that a specialist wouldn't be in until wednesday, and if my symptoms continued I should just go to the hospital. So if I go to the specialist, its going to be nearly two weeks until they can confirm that I have an ulcer and actually give me treatment, but I won't be able to do anything at school and I'll be extremely sick every morning. If I go to the hospital, I'm going to have to wait for 4-6 hours in a crowded waiting room while needing to throw up and being extremely sick to my stomach.
I really don't know what to do about this, I'm experiencing serious symptoms and I need to get this fixed ASAP or else I'm not going to be able to do anything at school for two weeks, and fail AGAIN.
I honestly used to trust our healthcare system and think it was amazing, but after the serious "Who gives a fuck" attitude about my serious health issues, I'm not sure what to think anymore.
Honestly, I'd go to the hospital and if you needed to puke, puke the blood all over the waiting room floor. Guaranteed they'd see you right then and there.
Alright Torontonians, me and Angus are planning on meeting up this Saturday, anyone else in Toronto want to come?
Anyone who joins in gets to witness the power of my precious import ricecooker.

I may or may not come or not come, depending on whether or not I'm feeling or not feeling up for it.

This Saturday. But how are you planning to get back to Montreal? Or are you just fleeing westward?
I will probably be good with Saturday.
So Saturday's plans so far:
Head over here in the morning/noonish:
http://www.toronto-sanko.com/en/
Restock my supply of natto, buy some sashimi grade fish, rice vinegar, etc
Go home, make something n/rice for lunch.
Derp around the afternoon, then pop over to a bar around here to finish off the night.
How does that sound?
[editline]6th October 2014[/editline]
Alternative evening plan: go get a few beers and/or sake from the LCBO, then I'll cook something nice up for dinner (like a big pot of curry/pasta or something perhaps?).
Eww, natto? I changed my mind, I'm staying the fuck away from you
I'd come for saturday but I don't really know any FP users too well so I don't know if it would be weird or not
It's probably gonna feel weird as fuck for me too :v:

Chill guys, I'm cool. I've met DaCommie and HellSolider before, also been to a reddit (and somethingawful) meetup.
