It's probably gonna feel weird as fuck for me too :v:
Don't worry, a few beers loosens everybody up.
If you do plan on coming, PM me, and I'll forward you details, etc.
Agree for curry, Disagree for pasta, Informative for something else I can cook, anything other rating for eating out.
Need to defrost stuff now for tomorrow night if I want to cook something.
I actually don't know what I want to eat tomorrow, but as long as there can be alcohol and it's tasty I don't much care.
We have accomplished an FP Toronto meetup at a sushi bar on Yonge St.

I'm sorry I missed it, I've never met another FP'er, I got surprise work though so maybe next time?

Whenever next time may be. I don't have another free weekend all October because of work, and people tend not to want to go out when it's cold enough to freeze your balls off.
$40 for a trip from Montreal to Toronto?
Fuck, it was $25 for Belleville to Kingston for Thanksgiving :(
I underestimated how entertaining local politics can be. My dad was moderating one of the mayoral debates, so I came to watch.
There were some... Interesting people there. Like the crazy conspiracy theory lady who yelled into the mic about building services and runs a stereotypically bad website (http://oursudbury.com). Or another candidate that asked to leave an hour early to catch a bus.
The debate questions from the audience were great, some topics got a bit heated. Especially when they were discussing solutions to our terrible excuses for roads. My dad started off that debate with "Could someone who has recently driven down Regent street start us off?".
I had 4 hours of sleep last night, I've been up since 4AM, I have an exam in an hour and a half, another on Monday that I need to study for when I get home, and I'm on my second energy drink. By the end of today I'm going to be bleeding out of my eyes. I also have work tomorrow at 8:45.
Try those 5-hour energy drinks. I personally haven't used them, but my dad will swear by them, and he works in a Goodyear plant (12 hour shift work).
Well I think I passed, I'm just pissed because I think I could have done better if I wasn't so fucking tired. That's 2 nights in a row I woke up at 4 and couldn't get back to sleep. I'm also pissed because with all the studying I did I'm still liable to get a crap mark. Makes me not want to put a whole lot of effort into studying for the one I have Monday, since I'm liable to do just as terrible regardless.
Maybe I should stop having a beer right before bed, or get some zquil.

Yeah well, it's the escape fare thing. AFAIK, the escape fare means that it's Viarail trying to fill up last minute cancellations so they're kinda hard to get (I think, never actually tired) and since they're last minute, you also have to leave on a minute's notice.
Its raining in Vancouver (gee willickers that never happens!) which means I won't be able to observe the partial solar eclipse today :(
it's nice and sunny today in Toronto, woo!
it's nice and sunny today in Toronto, woo!
Yeah, but I gotta study for midterms! Woo! Only 2 more to go, then I get a month's break until finals.
On the plus side, that one I took last Friday that I was really pissed about a few posts up I managed to get 69% on.

And it will be below the horizon by the time it hits here :(
Also, it's cloudy so...

Either you're gonna get clouds, or I'm gonna get clear. Because I'm 1.5 hours away from you.
Damn buildings and trees blocking the eclipse.. Oh well..
First time actually prepping for it and actually seeing (part of) it.
Here, have my super ghetto pin hole solar eclipse viewer with a side of light blocking

Environment Canada is calling for the snow level to drop down to 900m tonight. Looks like the coastal passes are going to get snow.
It's coming.....
IT'S COMING!!!!
I'm in superstore shopping with my mom when this old Chinese guy walks up and hands me this:

I went to a farmer's market today. There was so much pumpkin and apples around, it was amazing. THe apple cider there looked fantastic, and there was an old Scottish lady selling some food that was absolutely delicious.
Not sure how many of you guys have a farmer's market where you live, but you should go see one sometime. Never know what you'll find.

We have one in New Glasgow, but everytime I come into town to go check it out I end up running late and it's closed

Halifax Farmer's market is amazing, I highly recommend it if you ever come into the city.
The St. Lawrence Market's farmers market is open too early in the morning and closes too early in the afternoon for me to go there. The rest of the market's great though.
It's the end of the Gravy Train, and there won't be Ford More Years in Toronto, John Tory is our new mayor!
Ugh. A conservative.
I wonder how much better the subway system will get with Tory..
Wow did you guys almost meet up at Sanko on Queen or did I read that wrong? I basically live across the street and the Tealish right next to it is a regular stop for me. This is making me uncomfortable but intrigued?
