That reminds me of the times I have to tether my tablet/laptop to my phone while AT UNIVERSITY because the internet is so shit here. It took 10 minutes to load reddit this morning.
My internet connection has got so unstable that I had to tether to my Rogers phone to get onto Eastlink's live chat. Fantastic.
I'll probably have my dad try exchanging this garbage Arris modem/router with a Motorola. The Arris feels like the cheapest piece of crap, hopefully a new modem fixes it. We had a really old DOCSIS 2 Motorola that was connected to the same cable, but was rock solid.
That's really odd, my Arris router has been one of the best ones that I've owned. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a wiring issue.

I wouldn't be surprised either, though I even tried plugging it into where our cable box is and it still had the same speeds.
The Motorola we had before was literally plugged into the same spot. The only wiring changes were replacing a splitter with a coupler. And I replaced another splitter a coupler, which improved things a little, though it's still awful.
Saturday meet up folks, give me a PM and I'll give you my address/phone #, our last meetup turned out well with this plan, so we should be ok.
Rest in piece Canadian target.

Speaking about live chat, you cannot connect to Bell's live chat on their support page (there is no button for it visible) if you're not doing the live chat using Bell Internet. I tried copying the link for the chat window when using a different ISP, it wouldn't connect.

They weren't that great to start with though, I won't be missing them...
I never have visited one because I could never find one
I'd come saturday if anyone else is going

I've been to three myself, it basically felt like Walmart but more dim (the Walmarts I've been to were all well lit and better than any of the Targets I've been to), generally cleaner and shinier floors. I never really noticed anything about the lack of stock, it seemed like stuff was in stock as much as Walmart, at least on the floor.
Just don't go too far north-east, you'll get yourself into...
...Scarborough...
then you go North of Steeles and it's fine.
For fuck sakes the Scarborough bluffs is one of the nicest areas in the GTA, honestly it easy to tell when someones actually never been there before (Not getting mad at you just getting mad that everyone thinks scarborough is still some gangster paradise like the late 1990's)
Scarborough has less crime rate per person than the rest of the city of toronto.
Little known Scarborough facts:
Everything closes by 10:00 or 11:00 and after that there aren't many people around after that
The bars in the area are so under-used that they generally shut down shop before 10:30 on weekends.
North of Eglinton is the only place where you could consider it "bad" and thats nearly outer space to 90% of the people who live below that line.
We have such a bad reputation because a few people were shot at Kennedy station in the late nineties, before and after those few years nearly nothing has happened.
Its honestly really nice near the bluffs, old houses, nice people, lots of places to hike/run and everything is pretty much walking distance.
In fact, the 18th century farmhouse my mom bought for 200k 10 years ago, is now worth 800k (thats without renovations)
Bit of a long post but fucks sake you guys, do your research before condemning such a big place..
We also lost Sony retail stores. All 14 of them
Those stores were pretty cool, where else are you going to try out almost all of their camera, camcorder, laptop, TV and other stuff lineup of the year and the year before it? Stuff was expensive tho.

My post was referring to the northern parts of Scarborugh, I guess I wasn't clear enough
Been to the Bluffs for a few minutes, would go back any time. It's great there but for some reason, that area used to not have any LTE reception going on there for a while. Now it's been patched up by carriers.

No problem man, I've just met so many people irl that when I tell them I'm from scarborough they think I'm an ex-con that dodges bullets and genocide every day.
Seriously some of the people out here in meadowvale
I heard it used to be a bit spotty but I even get good WIND coverage there now
So whats the word on saturday? Who's confirmed going?

Thats true, I love BC. Lived off my bicycle with my sister in the summer of 2010 and travelled through a lot of the islands. Saltspring was amazing, everywhere we went was amazing. Also ended up bussing to a place called "Mars crossing" an hour or two north of Pemberton and lived on a mountain farm for a little while.
I love BC too but I cannot for the life of me imagine being proud of Surrey. The city, for sure, and White Rock, or some of the quieter places up the Fraser, but Surrey sucks cocks

Heh Wind, a friend is getting throttled like shit right at 6GB (because fair usage policy).

Thanks for the cold, fuckers.
Yea, meet at my place at 5, get food at 6 or 7, and alcohol after that?

Because I want to live close to a city which uses this as their anthem:

Earliest I can get to your place by is 7 myself. If you guys have already left by then just text me.
Gas at 100.9 such a pretty good change from 152.
It's bad for our economy though :(
It's bad for our economy though :(
It's bad for every energy exporting country...
I was working in oil country Alberta I was glad when I got out of there even happier now that I don't have to worry about the oil price crashing.
I wont be coming anymore :( I was hoping on meeting all you guys. Hope you all have fun tho

Wind has the most absolute worst coverage. Going into a bathroom? Disconnected from wind. Going to a basement? Disconnected from wind. Go anywhere slightly out of toronto? Disconnected from wind.

That's totally not because The Big Three beat the shit out of anyone trying to buy one of the recently deregulated UHF/VHF frequencies. Wind is getting fucked bad.

Maybe it's just me but so far Wind coverage in building works fine where I'm at (Markham), I'd imagine there's a shit ton of dead spots but I haven't found any so far myself. Wind does have more company network than Moblicity. The second you go out of Missisagua, Moblicity doesn't work. Even the fucking roaming didn't work for some people on it (as we went to Niagara Falls), meanwhile Wind actually works there. And recently, they partnered with Telus for their Wind Away coverage. So basically now the coverage is actually Canada-wide now and you get HSPA+ speeds outside of the Wind Network. They also lowered all of their pay-per-use charges a whole lot earlier last year. But hey, you get what you pay for. If you're mainly in their Wind Network coverage area anyways, it might be worth switching. Data speeds can be painfully slow or pretty decent and better than Rogers HSPA :v:
Meanwhile on Rogers, LTE is still fast as ever and their current max theoretical is 150Mbps compared to 140Mbps on Bell which doesn't really matter. Although Rogers does have more "up to 150Mbps" coverage than Bell's "up to 140Mbps" in the GTA and LTE in South-eastern Canada in general according to their current coverage maps. Rogers has more LTE coverage on the 401 heading East in the areas of Kingston, Ottawa and Quebec areas while Bell has more in the northern and South western parts on Ontario.
