Its a lovely 12°C and sunny in Vancouver today.
Go to hell. Every day I get up at 7AM and it's -10 out.
Because Timmy's is overrated and way too expensive.
Plus, after working there I can say that they don't treat their employees very well either.
Timmy's is expensive? It's pretty much the cheapest coffee you can buy.
And I don't mean to piss on your bad experiences working at Timmy's, but each location is a Franchise, so it's really the franchise owner/manager that's the issue.
Tims? Expensive? HA they're cheap....
I'm comparing tim's to starbucks and my fav free-trace independent local roaster, just fyi.
Honestly, I try to avoid Tim's bad coffee. The normal coffee at Starbucks is about 50c more, and totally worth every penny.
I just don't drink coffee. Or tea. People ask me how I can get up in the morning without some kind of caffeine. The answer is I don't, really.

Someone hasn't looked at McDonald's coffee. It's pretty bad so don't bother. It's like the piss water beer of coffee.

I went to McDs for some nuggets walking out the guy in front o me had just bought a coffee with one sip he gagged and tossed the cup away.
In other news My Pontiac doesnt technically exist according to ICBC I now need to write a letter and get a vin issued or for them to recognize the existing Vin.
It has been off the road a lot longer than just a couple years like the guy said when i bought it.
Take it the extra mile and just file that VIN off.
Think about it: less mass means more gas milage.

Sounds like my first go at it.
Oh well, it was free so whatever.

Its a mid 60s full sizedpontiac the only I can improve gas milage is to use the lunar orbit to my advantage.
Economically speaking, wouldn't the lowered canadian dollar attract US customers to come and shop across the border, or at least attract some kind of trade?
Actually, considering how much cheaper everything is over in the US, the canadian dollar has to drop REALLY LOW for that to happen.
I don't know; i haven't studied economics. Would anyone else like to explain?

They would have to act fast or relatively fast before the price of everything in Canada increases accordingly.

Don't think so. Just because the value of the dollar is low doesn't mean suddenly there's gonna be a huge amount of inflation. Currency having lowered value sometimes correlates with inflation but not always, especially since interest rates on loans are controlled here.

So let's say I had a bunch of disposable USD, would it be a good idea to convert it to CAD because it's so low, save it and wait until CAD is more stable to convert back/use it? Or use it now? Many places use the USD to CAD rate to charge for stuff which is kinda annoying sometimes.

You could. If you really want to push the limits, open a margin forex account with a investment company.
If you can afford it, maybe.
Toronto has been ranked #1 city to live in the world.
So I heard. I've lived here all my life, and yet I still call bullshit.
And yet, even still, with all its flaws, there's nowhere else in the world I'd rather live.
The Subways are nice :$ But Toronto seems mostly like a residential city.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Our subway is 30 years outdated in terms of its coverage, dirty, cramped, and the corners smell like hobo piss. We should have been improving the damn thing all through the 70s-90s, increasing coverage to Etobicoke, North York, and Scarborough, but we didn't. Literally any city in Europe or Asia with a subway has a better subway than we do. We have got one of the shittiest subways in the world.
Vancouver has a better subway - and it it isn't even a subway. :v:
Toronto has been ranked #1 city to live in the world.
You're having a laugh
Be glad you have a subway system at least, Halifax's transit is unbelievably horrible out side of peninsular Halifax.
The Subways are nice :$
After taking the subway a ton of times to from the suburbs to downtown and elsewhere in Toronto...
...it's better than taking a bus all the way downtown because that would take forever. Finch to Bloor-Yonge is like half an hour on the subway. Imagine being stuck on the bus for god knows how long cruising down Yonge street slowly because there's a million other vehicles on it during rush hours. The new subways are nice but during rush hour, it sucks. It can be hard to even get onto it. It can even get pretty packed at Finch going south (in the mornings at least). It kinda drives me nuts that the transit system is seemingly controlled my politicians instead of actual transit designers. If it was given to Metrolinx or whatever company that knows what to actually do and can do it, the TTC would suck a lot less then it does today.
And don't get me started on bus service..
Holy blizzard jesus batman.
I think I'm not going to my 8am lecture today xD.
I guess that explains the Trailer Park Boys avatar a bit more. They still don't get enough attention outside Canada (or even Nova Scotia for that matter).
I ran into some of TPB cast when they were filing at the Oaklawn Farm zoo this summer.
Being the shy ass person I was I didn't ask for any pictures or anything, saw plenty of others do it tho. Robb Wells (Ricky) was standing behind me taking pictures of some monkeys at some point.
I want to watch the episode that footage was shot for.
YA SNOW THAT FUCKS UP EVERYTHING !
I haven't been to Oaklawn farm since I was 5 after moving up around Digby.

I met Jonathon Torrens (J to the R O C) cause he married my like third cousin, and met Rob Wells once when they were filming the Community Service episode of Season 8 cause another cousin was one of the child extras, both pretty cool dudes.
