God, I think every College and School except mine was closed today.
The amount of times I almost get run over by left turning vehicles when I cross a street is kinda fucking scary. 8 times so far in 2015 alone. 3 times just yesterday. BRB investing in a gopro so I can record myself crossing the street each time. If I do get run over, the gopro would probably survive it better :v:

Nope, Belleville is open and working.
Oh interesting.
When I move into a detached house with a car, I'll need to shovel the drive way in the winter...
Totally forgot that drawback of suburban living...
You can get that service where a pick up truck with a shovel drags the snow off your drive way. The only draw back to that is that you still have to shovel some snow, they usually do a "good enough" job where it handles the bulk of it. If you want it cleaner, you kind of have to either do it yourself or throw more money at them to get better services. Another drawback is that they are busy as shit when it snows so if you really need to get to work, you're gonna have to shovel that shit yourself.

Or you buy a snowblower.

How expensive is one?
How expensive is one?
Depends on the brand/Type really.

As someone who "recently" moved from Vancouver, what's the difference? Never used one in my life.

Here's an idea on how much they cost new, you should be able to find some used on kijiji for less, probably cheaper in the spring too.
Also get a gas-powered one, electric are shit.

Power, mainly. More money, more power, faster snow removal.
Sometimes there are extra features too, but it mainly comes down to Power.

I've used a couple electrics that were pretty good.
How's the job market over in Vancouver? Heard it was kinda bad. Looking to get the fuck out of Quebec. I might have a job lined up in Mississauga, just waiting on the call if ever.
If not, I've been looking into maybe moving to Vancouver in about a year or so, saving money before I make the move. Hoping to have about 10 grand in savings so that I can comfortably find a small place to live in temporarily or a hotel while I find a job or some chit.
Gotta love it when the bus you're on during the evening rush hour is goes out of service because the bus gets a route change. Um ok.
I'd prefer an electric snow shovel over a complete snowblower.

I don't know about the job market, but the cost of living in Vancouver is apparently the highest in the country.
Its not too bad... If you live in Surrey...
So doctor assisted suicide is now legal in Canada.
I'm ok with this.
Or you could just take a stroll through Surrey at night.

Shit I forgot Thomas Mulcair
There is a TTC fare hike in March, it didn't indicate anything about the $108 student/high school student metropasses so I'd assume those student passes stay the same price.

The job market in the lower mainland is great!
Key word: Lower mainland.
Unless you plan on spending a shit ton of money you don't live in Vancouver.

Langley is decent .
Richmond would be good? Not necessarily looking to be smackdab in the center of Vancouver, just being around it would be cool.
South Surrey/White Rock is good if you're willing to commute, about an hour to the city. Relatively expensive I guess but, unless somethings changed since I left in 2012, its not as cracked up as the rest of the Lower Mainland

Are you Asian? If not skip Richmond/delta. Might as well live in Port Moody/Coquitlam/Burnaby as the new Skytrain line should be in next summer.
Also Richmond is made of silt and below sea level. Any earthquake will cause that place to cease existing.

Don't worry, so did the rest of Canada.
Shit, ninja'd. Should read before posting...

I did hear it was quite the asian neighborhood, is it really that bad if you're not asian?
I woke up and my house had no heat, internet or running water. Also my car was in a snow bank. It's been a long day

Asians are afraid of white people in Vancouver. Unless they are born here and have time to integrate they are shocked at every action taken by a white person.
