So this new anti-terror law harper is trying to push.
Does it actually mean that if I say...
ISIS is kinda cool and I think the desert is cool.
....will now land me in jail or a watch list for supporting terrorism? I'm having a very tough time beleiving half the shit CBC says these days.

Bro, I lived in Langley for a decade, most of Surrey is pretty decent...

I think it's the stupidest thing ever.

Surrey's pretty bad in terms of smaller crime, but I've lived here half my life and I can confirm I've been stabbed zero times.
I did see two girls fight and then get (peppersprayed? maced?) at a bus stop over by Surrey Central though, shit was fucked. It was me and about ~10 other people waiting at the stop when it happened, some people were unlucky enough to have it waft over it their way and be collateral.
Worst part is probably the bus was approaching the stop as it happened, I had my jacket collar over my mouth/nose and I'm just waving the bus off to stop earlier so it doesn't stop right at the cloud of mace (it was fucking huge). Bus driver just covered the ticket machine with his hand and told people to get on. People were offering each other water to help with the stinging for those who got some of it in their eyes and mouths.
I don't even see why people even thought a law should be placed for that, Honestly if that law gets passed I can just see shit hitting the fan

Notice that the graph doesn't specify units for distance, nor does it indicate from where in Surrey this distance is measured.
It's from a 2012 Statscan study measuring violent crime rates across Canada. In particular, section VII measures the anomalous spike in stabbings located in the alley between the Super Pawn & Second Hand Store and Super Eight Motel.
The study posited a portal to the stabverse. Upon further analysis, it was found that the event horizon - at which getting stabbed is a certainty - was very small, approximately spherical, and featured a very sharp, fractal-like structure. The graph in question measures its distance in millimeters. Due to the rather quick decay, the effect is negligible in a radius larger than two blocks.

Oh my goodness, may I ask where in Sauga you live? I'm located pretty much right beside Square One. It's interesting to see another FP user that lives in my area.

The moment the sun sets, fuck seeing me in surrey when I'm not in a car or with someone else. I won't even get off the SkyTrain after dusk. You run to the nearest station and don't look back.
Remember how you ran for the stairs when you turned the basement light off? Yeah, that's Surrey only there's actually monsters who come out in the dark.

What blows my mind is the liberals have publically said it's flawed, but agreed to help pass it anyways.
Who in the fuck paid you off?

Kinda terrifying knowing this, I've been talking the skytrain after dark/walking home on my poorly lit street twice a week for six weeks now.

I had no problem walking form Patterson to my pad on 45th via Central Park in the middle of the night. Surrey is just not really the kind of place where you should be going out alone at night.
All fine in Belleville. Barring the onslaught of fine mist / freezing rain and slushy roads.
Powers out here in Toronto, apparently it's most of the city.
literally came back on as soon as I posted this lol
I was using a candle on a portable holder to set my laptop up to continue watching what I was watching before the outage. It felt so weird to be using something that now seems so archaic to light my basement while I set up a laptop.
Street lights keep turning on and off, but my apartment building's holding fine. Just like it did during last year's ice storm.

Halloe! I live near the Erin Mills Town center, but used to live by Square One.
A school called Woodstock Collegiate just became our sister school here in Taiwan!
God it feels good to speak English with some friendly Canadians again.
Wazzup.
I'm usually just a lurker around most threads but you seem like a friendly lot!
Abbotsford, BC, represent. Gas just went up like 10¢ over night and I am not a happy camper.
I was considering going to the Abbotsford airshow this year, haven't gone since I was 16.
[editline]5th March 2015[/editline]
Front page of the website says they're showing of an F-22 oh yeah this is happening.
Man, it was 0 yesterday, now it's back down to -10.
Also the government's harassing me to replace my health card with one of the new ones you need to renew every 5 years and I'd really rather not, since even though it's got a photo it's not considered valid ID and also the old red & white ones don't expire, but they're being rather insistent on it. I also need to renew my passport.

I lived in Alberta most of my childhood but I was born in Abbotsford. I haven't been to the airshow since I was 4! I should make an effort to get out sometime.
Anyone in Toronto know of 3D studios that might want an intern?
Google Maps is broken for Toronto, for anything TTC related. It just told me to take the YRT and GO to a bunch of test locations instead of the usual TTC routes. This happens on both phone and web clients.
Another friend reported that the time of travel was stuck at 4:40am.
It actually got up as high as 8 degrees today! It was astounding!
Mission is boring as fuck, just to let you know.
Its 14°C in Vancouver.

What province? Nice and warm here in South-Western Ontario.
When I left school this afternoon, I couldn't even see my breath.
Surely, spring is almost here!
