I finally applied to University
I wish you luck, I just passed my final course.
I wish you luck, I just passed my final course.
What'd you do?
What'd you do?
3D Animation / 3D Generalist course with some game design tossed in.
Hey guys it's snowing again [editline]22nd March 2015[/editline] My entire post history in this thread consists of me saying it's snowing all the fucking time when it shouldn't be
Its a touch damp here in Vancouver.
T's Windy.
I found Irn Bru here in Belleville's FreshCo.
The Metro on my campus sells Irn Bru for like $2.50/bottle. Never bothered to buy it because they also have 700mL cans of Nestea peach and Nestea half-lemonade for $0.88.
That stuff is illegal in the Canada thread. Call the po-po.

I saw Jesse get hyper on it on Cooptional Podcast "This stuff is ama-azing!" Gonna get it tomorrow.
Friendly reminder pay your MSP premiums monthly and dont forget because Revenue services BC will try and rip you a new asshole. [editline]23rd March 2015[/editline] Kind of stupid to get charged 72$ a month on top of the taxes placed on everything that are supposed to pay for medical care.
Going to Montreal hope I will enjoy it, any tips what to visit?
It's back down to -10 today in Toronto, but it's supposed to be like 12 tomorrow.
Going to Montreal hope I will enjoy it, any tips what to visit?
La Ronde; Montreal's amusement park (if it's open)
It's back down to -10 today in Toronto, but it's supposed to be like 12 tomorrow.
It's 20c here in Vancouver. I had to use the A/C in my car the other day.
It's 20c here in Vancouver. I had to use the A/C in my car the other day.
Oh hey, looks like it's national hate Vancouver day again. Actually, let's just declare March "National Hate Greater Vancouver Month"
Another couple weeks and it'll be beach weather.
Why is the Canadian Dollar so low compared to US... We're at $1 US = $1.25 CAD :(
Why is the Canadian Dollar so low compared to US... We're at $1 US = $1.25 CAD :(
Low oil prices and a strong US economy.
Its hailing in North Vancouver. I'm also in a t-shirt because its so warm.
Its hailing in North Vancouver. I'm also in a t-shirt because its so warm.
Coquitlam is literally California at the moment.
Anyone know a store in the Toronto area that sells these? http://www.amazon.ca/niceeshop-3-5mm-Female-Plated-Extension/dp/B00OK44QLG/ref=sr_1_19?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1427149500&sr=1-19&keywords=3.5+mm+Male%2FFemale+Stereo+Audio+Extension+Cable. I'm looking for one that's super short. The situation is that my phone case flaps and opening for the headphone jack is too small for my headphones actual plug to fit properly so a low profile short extension cable like the one I listed would work. It's just going to take a few weeks to arrive from China :v: If it's really that hard to find, I'll just have to deal with what I have now and wait. My current solution is a short male to male AUX cable -> female to female adapter -> headphones
You tried Canadacomputers? NCIX? Tigerdirect? Any of the big-box electronics stores?
You tried Canadacomputers? NCIX? Tigerdirect? Any of the big-box electronics stores?
They are either too long or the barrel of the male end is too large. In most cases so far in my searching, it's both. I kinda do think my only option is to just buy one off eBay and wait a few weeks. Probably should have done that a week ago when I got the case and found out the issue.
Hey guys it's me again with news of Montreal, today was -17c, bretty good.
Its a touch damp here in Vancouver.
in other news water is wet, things fall downwards and the sky is grey
Sunny here, high of ~2C, then it'll get up to ~10C and rain for 2 days straight, snow 1 day, and then freeze for another.
Anyone have advice on getting a job? I'm in Mississauga, don't have any means of transportation but I live near a town centre. seems impossible to find part-time work online too, I just need money to keep going to school and paying for bills ect. but its really hard to find anything out here. Anyone have any suggestions/advice? Because I'm down to having literally nothing at this point and I don't even know how I'm going to pay for anything between now and finding work :|
I don't live in Mississauga but I know people living there and elsewhere in Canada and from what I've seen and heard and experienced myself in my part of Canada, the job market is absolutely disgusting right now. My dad's a Field Service Administrative Manager for the entire territory of Quebec along with 1 other. That's 2 people for an entire province and Quebec is pretty big, they used to be 3 but he retired and instead of replacing him, they just split his work between the 2 remaining FSM and that's the kind of shit that makes it so hard to find jobs. Employers don't give a fuck anymore, instead of filling their positions, they'd rather just close them, save money and increase the workload on who's already there. I've seen that shit happen in a lot of places.
