So here I am sitting next to a table lamp while a generator outside keeps my modem and wireless alive during yet another power outage. I'm literally the only house in the neighborhood with working internet and lights.
SAIL in Etobicoke may be hiring, they're out by Sherway Gardens. I don't know if you can get there, though, you said you have no car and I have no idea if MiWay goes near the mall or not.
I don't live in Mississauga but I know people living there and elsewhere in Canada and from what I've seen and heard and experienced myself in my part of Canada, the job market is absolutely disgusting right now. My dad's a Field Service Administrative Manager for the entire territory of Quebec along with 1 other. That's 2 people for an entire province and Quebec is pretty big, they used to be 3 but he retired and instead of replacing him, they just split his work between the 2 remaining FSM and that's the kind of shit that makes it so hard to find jobs. Employers don't give a fuck anymore, instead of filling their positions, they'd rather just close them, save money and increase the workload on who's already there. I've seen that shit happen in a lot of places.
My employer gives me full time but not enough work to do so I end up slacking. It's honestly ridiculous. I'd rather be busting my ass than doing nothing.

The grid in Montreal was totally fucked, we had a neighbor who was a long time friend and when we would lose electricity, our neighbor had electricity so we'd just go chill with them for the day and vice versa. Houses literally next to one another but both on different electrical lines somehow.
Fuck it's snowing again!!

It's sunny in Vancouver today!
So who thinks C-51 is going to go through? The amount of people that don't know about it is shocking, just another reason not to vote blue in may..
Good news, the snow is melting Bad news, the snow is melting
The Canucks are celebrating their 100th university of the Vancouver Millionaires winning the Stanley Cup. They're wearing the Millionaires jerseys tonight, and look so cool! Bad news is they're losing 3-0 to the Colorado Avalanche right now! The Supreme Court today killed what little was left of the gun registry, ruling that Quebec has no right to the data. It only took 3 years, but now it's finally dead.
Okay, I have an interview for an internship and maybe a job in Toronto. Thinking of staying at Super 8 Downtown (Interview is near the corner of Spadina Ave and Adelaide Street W). If the interview takes off, I'm going to need to find an apartment. Who knows of some decent places to stay around that part of town?

You'd save a lot of money getting a cheap basement apartment in the west-end and commuting to work every day.
Government websites are now mobile friendly!
Government websites are now mobile friendly!
Great, now I can yell at a website anywhere! Though seriously, changing your address online shouldn't be anywhere as frustrating as it is.
The provincial government knows exactly where I am. The federal thinks I live in another city.
Hotmail has locked my mail client on my phone before because it thinks I'm in Vancouver when I'm using LTE (because Telus) and Montreal when I'm at home (because Bell). I am in Toronto.
Found a Kijiji ad for a place near Adelaide Street for ~700 a month. No lease, month by month payment but short term. It should last for ~2 months which is enough time to find out if I get a job out of the internship and then find an actual apartment. For the actual apartment, I was looking at the Maitlands apartments. I'll be with a second person so it won't be as expensive compared to living alone.
hi im in Toronto and im new to this thread
How many people for Toronto are here?
A bunch.
lets chill then :^)
I live close to toronto but I doubt anyone here lives in Kitchener/Waterloo ;-;
Rest In Pepperoni FutureShop.
Yeah, the one here was closed today. I was hoping it would be a little later and grab some potential clearance things.
Rest In Pepperoni FutureShop.
Well at least we get a best buy in its place in my town..
I live close to toronto but I doubt anyone here lives in Kitchener/Waterloo ;-;
I used to be a Guelph bro.
Yeah, the one here was closed today. They say it will take them a week to convert it the stores to a Best Buy one, which is basically take down all of the signs and stickers on the floors, etc., replace them with Best Buy branded ones.
