One of these days I really gotta get my shit together and just get rid of my N. v:v:v
So the guy at ServiceOntario spelled my name wrong on my hunting license even though he had 4 pieces of ID in front of him with my name on them. I pointed it out immediately, so that I wouldn't have to be phoning them when the actual card shows up, but I can only believe the excuse "I forgot my glasses" so much when you have 4 pieces of government-issue photo ID in front of you.

The woman mistyped my address when I went to update my ID. When I got home and looked at the temp form I lived on "Lond's Dale" instead of Lonsdale. The ICBC office is on Lonsdale so they have no excuse for that.
Nailed my G2 test. Second try, and as my driving instructor told me later - I had the most strict and picky exam person marking me. Also, I had one free hour of practice running before the exam and a black cat crossed the road in front of me. Fuck you, superstitions.
I'm at the Lynn Valley day parade! I feel sorry for the people in costumes such as the Energizer Bunny.
Maybe FP is a pretty weird place to ask, but any Vancouverites looking for a house/flat to stay in? Got an upstairs house suite in East Vancouver (near pandora park) with four bedrooms and we're short one roommate, could probably just pm me for details if you're at all interested. Would rather hit up facepunchers first before I devolve to looking for referrals and/or random strangers on craigslist.
Shiiiit. That's like, right in my old neighborhood. I often sleep in a storefront down the street.
I had plans of maybe moving to Vancouver for a while until I saw how expensive the rents were and how I'd need to find a legit good job to actually not become homeless there.
The rent in this place isn't terrible by Vancouver standards given the number of people, but yeah in Vancouver you either need a really good job, a really shit place, or a decent place with a lot of people in it
Seems like it'd be really awkward to be living with someone who'd know my FP account though
Heh depends, we're all individuals, I know some really creepy fucking FPers but others are totally cool. Like if I see the guy is normal, I don't care if he has an FP account but I would NOT live with some of those really creepy ones that talks about fucking their sisters or elf rape and shit. Just look at their post history and see if they're the creepy fuck variety or the normal variety.
elf rape
I wonder if he has a roommate
I wonder if he has a roommate
Hopefully not an elf.

Depends on location.
Heck I'd live with someone from facepunch cause we'd probably share the weirdest interests yeah. Anyone in wienerpeggy got a room?

Any fellow Calgarians in this thread? moved here in October and I'm not very well informed on whats fun to do in these parts.
[sp2]I graduated officially today[/sp2]
I'm officially a second class citizen! I'm eligible for British citizenship. [editline]5th June 2015[/editline] Also flag dog is still saying I'm american. That's just adding insult to injury.
Hello Canada chat. I voted for a socialist in Alberta and he won.

I only have Canadian Citizenship but I've been having plans of marriage with my girlfriend who's Korean but also has Japanese citizenship. What happens if we end up marrying, will I become a second class citizen because I'll now have Canadian Citizenship and presumably Japanese and Korean citizenship? I don't really know anything on this so it might be a stupid question.

Anything that goes against the "national interest" as vague as that could be) then yes. It's a highly unlikely scenario though.

I keep getting told by my dad that I could get Polish citizenship because half my grandparents were from there. I still doubt it. This new law sounds like the courts are going to rip it to shreds.
Just popping in as a person whose getting their points to immigrate up within the next two to three years. I keep up with the news of your country and C-24 was being reported on by the CBC as passing last June. You're in a frenzy over a minor BC based blog reporting on year old news. Just saying, as this is a bit of a major thing, look into it a bit more than just the SH thread and concluding that you're a Second class citizen. You automatically have it by blood, you just got to contact the consulate and prove who your grandparents were.

Well, that and from what I hear everyone hates Polish migrant workers in Europe, which is what I'd officially be.

Well that's one less worry but there's still the whole Korean citizenship then, I don't know if they allow dual citizenships there.
