Montreal has more organized crime gangsters. Toronto has more street gangsters. I'd rather have the organized crime groups, since they don't usually rob random people for their phones.
So did you hear about the latest thing people are trying to do to Rob Ford? Some leftist who lost to him in the election is accusing him of sexual assault at a party. There are numerous people who have said she lied and was deliberately tring to set him up to attempt to further her political career by removing Ford from the next election. Her story is flimsier than a rusty car, and has changed repeatedly depending on which media outlet she's talking to. I find these politically motivated attacks on Ford absolutely ridiculous and shameful.
I think Ford is a terrible mayor, but it's ridiculous the extent people will reach to try and pull him out of office.
Seriously, just shut the fuck up and run against him in a year or so.

It's ultraclean now, actually! It's safe to harvest shellfish from the harbour according to the studies done last summer!

Goddammit, why did Garneau drop out of the race? He's the only Liberal candidate I didn't absolutely hate.

I'm a Norwegian, so I thought "Maybe I won't be able to fill out the map"
But it turns out I have one hell of a lot of preconceptions towards Canada. I had to stop only because I ran out of space.

Fourth month since I moved here. Grief and homesickness doesn't seem to stop. Still waiting for my permanent resident card.
So I work at the Starbucks on Bloor and Church now. Basically the most stereotypical university student job I could find. It's actually a surprisingly awesome place to work, all things considered. The staff are really friendly and the training has been going wonderfully. Now that I'm actually employed I'm really starting to warm up to Toronto, despite it's weird and occasionally irritating flaws.
Damn, winter just doesn't want to end. Down to as low as -26 and 20cm of snow this weekend in Winnipeg...
