So apparently there was a dead raccoon funeral somewhere in Toronto. I have no idea where though.
church and davenport. pretty toronto thing to do
I dislike the heat. And yesterday there was heavy bass playing for a group of ~7 people from 12-10pm. I heard someone yell "tweeeerrrrrrrrrkkiiiiiinnnnggg" over the microphone when there was a larger group and then shitty rap / pop music started playing. Come on Toronto, you have better taste than that. [editline]12th July 2015[/editline] I blame the Pan-Am games and an influx of american tourists.
Some pretty sick ass lightning going on over here in cape breton nova scotia Ello from the maritimes
Anyone in the langley area of BC need a roomate or looking to split a 2 bedroom,I dont feel safe in my current building and I want to move right away.
Had everything. Car I'm used to, one hour of driving in said car with instructor prior to the test. Had a good guy marking me and a nice light traffic road. Fucked it all up. G2. Simply because I couldn't look far enough ahead to see pedestrians crossing and tried to make a right turn straight into a cyclist. I saw them, even had enough time to press the brakes and not have that error count. But no, didn't think and kept pressing the gas. Thankfully, second set of brakes. The rest of the exam I spent in complete silence, almost acing the actual driving part. Fuck. [editline]1[/editline] Dad's gonna be gloating for the next month at least.
the ontario driving test system is the dumbest i've ever seen. stupid ranks like g1, g2, waiting a year to do each one, and you have to do them all in 5 years or you're boned (unless you get it renewed which is another $80, and only if you just received the g2 license and dont have enough time to get the final license). i dunno what the other provinces are like, but i feel there should be a better way. convoluted and inefficient. i told a guy on my steam friends list about how it works and he was like lol wtf who came up with that shit. he also said over there (murica) he only has to do one test, and it's all good.
In NS it's two tests, a written one that gets you a learners permit (Which allows you to drive a car, with one other fully licensed driver) and then after a few months (Depends based on if you took a defensive driving course) you can go for the full license. After that there are a few restrictions but mostly just no driving after midnight and no blood alcohol.
Well hello fellow nova scotian

Might go for my G1 this summer then take the drivers learning so i can get my G2 before my sisters wedding What exactly do you have to do it get a G1 anyways?
Answer a bunch of multiple-choice questions. They're piss easy. If you google "G1 practise test" and can answer all those questions, you can pass the G1.
G1 is easy as hell [editline]14th July 2015[/editline] Literally a bunch of multiple choice questions
If it's anything like in Quebec, it's piss easy but make sure to use extra time to read the answers. There was so stupid fucking questions specifically made to bait you into failing here which is retarded honestly. For example, there was a picture with Cars A B C D E F G and then it asked you the order of how cars should pass and there was 4 answers. Except get that, two answers were the EXACT SAME except one of them that had a Car "H" at the end. As you can probably guess, I didn't read it all and just confidently went for the "right" answer that happened to have a random fucking car "H" and then I fucked that question up. So if it's anything like Quebec, the questions are easy but use some extra time to read properly anyway.
Well hello fellow nova scotian
New Glasgow here
I've put off getting my G1 for three years for some reason, even when my mother told me for my 16th she's pay for my G1. Now I'm old and I still don't have it and I'm boned as soon as winter come around if I want an M1 (The only way to drive alone other than waiting a year.)
Hey so I wanna go to Toronto but am curious as to how I should get there? Coming from Kitchener here, I heard about the GO Train but I had an issue in the past when one of my friends was going to take the train but the station here was closed?
Iunno, if you don't want to drive the GO train and GO bus are basically the only ways. Since you were just talking about getting your G1, I presume driving is out of the question, so yeah, the bus or the train. Also he could have tried to take the train after a storm or something when the lines were flooded. Either that, or check GO's website to make sure the trains are running.
Are most of us here living in the GTA? I live in Mississauga, by Erin Mills.
Markham... But honestly, it's that area that sticks out into Richmond Hill and North York and Vaughan and isn't too far from Scarborough.
I'm more downtown Toronto myself. Can walk to the Eaton center in ~30 minutes.
West-end Toronto, just east of Etobicoke.
Are most of us here living in the GTA? I live in Mississauga, by Erin Mills.
i used to live in the annex, now i live in ottawa. ottawa is shit compared to toronto in terms of walkability
