4 days until I'm back in Montreal, really excited to come back
They're opening a conservative party office in Park Royal (west van), rent must be like 3-4k a month there because its such a prime location. Stores shut down somewhat frequently because the rent is too high, so there's out tax dollars gone again. I'm picketing it once it's open.
A better solution would be to throw rotten food at it every night.

Nah das a bitch move and makes work for cleanup crews, I'd rather express my views and be a chiggy butt :V
also nice move nomad I'm going to harrass the fuck out of you
Going for my G license test for the third time on Thursday. I really hope I don't fail this time. I've already spent nearly 300 for doing the test so many times, and my G2 expires on the 30th.

How can a party burn so much money on an election and create so much national debt and still claim to be the fiscally conservative party?
I just don't get it.

They conserve the budget for themselves.
We need better ways of generating revanue than taxes and fees.
The BC crown corps seem to burn more money on new ceos and paying out ceo contracts than they ever hope to take in

What are you doing that's causing you to fail? I mean, I failed my G2 once, but that was because of some grade-A bullshit at Etobicoke DriveTest's parking lot layout, and I failed my M test because I sat for too long not noticing an advance right, but you bet your ass that after failing once, I didn't fail again.
Like, don't they go over what you messed up on? Take that to heart. Check mirrors like all the damn time, signal for, like, everything, and drive like a fucking grannie. It's better to go too slow than too fast. I got told off by the lady for being too slow after doing mine, yet my regular speed is often just a bit over the limit.

Idiots pandering to idiots
Conservative Party of Canada
Treudo would almost became goodway with young blood coming into politics instead of people so old they don't have to live with the consequences of their policies.Except he has a knack for saying stupid Shit and I think he is leader of his party simply because of his name.
My thing with Trudeau is that he's basically the anti-Harper, going against almost everything he does, but when there are big issues he sides with him to get the Conservative fence vote
That is even worse politics you should be doing what is right for the people ,usually by not fucking over the next generation or ruining the country financially
Conservatives have not done this its all they can do to help their big oil buddies who shut down whenever oil drops in price so it isn't even supplying that many jobs.We don't have much to fall back on and that's why our dollar dropped so drastically.

I don't think there's been a government in my lifetime that has genuinely tried to do that.
There hasn't been one in many lifetimes :D gotta keep the elite healthy and rich, who cares about the poor? :DD
Sometimes the poor do once they get past the "I'm actually rich just not yet "mindset.
My dad wanted to go to Tap & Barrel Shipyards, so we arrive and witness the spectacle of their sprinkler system bursting.
Rip fire suppression.
So, who are we supposed to vote for to have the best chance of booting Harper? Trudeau or Mulcair?

Anyone but Harper should do the trick, it's just a matter of people actually going out to vote.
I'm going to give Trudeau a shot... Maybe.
Met some crazy preacher dude on the subway on my way home from craft beer fest who was angry about me drinking and told me the story of how Joseph became prime minister of Egypt. I just let him pontificate for a bit and when my stop came told him "God bless" and left.
Even after all that beer I think I need another drink after that.

There were a lot of preachers at Yonge Dundas square today...
My favourite is the evangelical guy on the corner of Georgia and Granville outside of The Bay. Buddy knows how to scream
This page is officially dedicated to Expo 67.

Abbotsford International Airshow.
I didn't have a fancy DSLR like everyone else so I strapped my phone to my 50x binoculars (hence the vignette on the F-22 pictures).
THE F-22 IS REALLY LOUD. REAAAAALLY LOUD.

Have been to previous Abbotsford airshows. Can confirm jets are loud. Very loud.
I'd say the F22 is about twice as loud as the F18.
I was at an air show a few years ago and a B-52 was on its way from North Dakota to I think Guam or South Korea so since the air show was kind of in its flight path, it decided to come by and do a low altitude fly-by. That was probably the loudest aircraft I'll ever see at an air show.
Of course that was a rare exception and at the crappy air show we have in southern Alberta the only military planes we get are the CF-18, the Snowbirds and an A-10 if we're lucky. I'd fucking kill to see the F-22 though.
Awesome, thanks! I have a 1 week vacation! I'll make sure to drop off the train, tip my fedora and immediately board it again to come back home in time for work
Seriously though, the prices are fucking insane, train and plane have similar prices so it's beyond me why anyone would take the train over the plane. 45 minutes plane trip from Montreal to Toronto for like 100$ or something, train is the same if not a bit more expensive and it's like 10 hours.
I could travel anywhere in the world with the kind of money I would use just to go to Vancouver
Going from New York City to Philadelphia was $77USD on Amtrak.
Then again, the train was relatively fast (goes like 180km/h), had WiFi, washroom and power outlets.
New Jersey Rail Transit was much cheaper when you look at it distance wise but takes a lot more time, doesn't have washrooms, power outlets, wifi.
Transportation is expensive, you better have money to afford going to places :v:
Watched Wheelchair Basketball today, Canadian women won against Brazil, and Canadian men against Argentina. It was nice going to see my national team play on my university campus and seeing both genders win.
The men's game was really close until we got a shitload of penalty shots in the last minute, but the women just dominated Brazil by like 30 points. We had this one player who if she could stand she'd be like 7 feet tall who'd just catch and throw balls over the heads of the Brazilians. She got like 30 of our 80 points in the game.

The only one I saw was the Jesus preacher when I was there on literally the same day.
