Stadium station's card office currently. The machines won't dispense them until next week. There's a big debate going on right now in another forum regarding the card's T&C's. Even if the card is readable and the serial number is visible, Trans Link will fine you $175 if you dare modify the card into say the back of your phone, a ring or a biomedical implant. Same applies if you punch a hole in it for a lanyard or laminate it. I pay the deposit, I'm using the card and you're getting money out of it. Why are you so fucking inconvenient, TransLink?

[editline]2nd October 2015[/editline] Also looks like you can order them online at compasscard.ca now.
Awwwyeh. Got myself a bike. Next day off is Wednseday tho, not sure about night riding. Any good spots to bike? Was thinking the path next to the DVP.
Sent my pocket watch that I fixed to be professionally serviced seeing as it didn't work if I was walking with it, only $135. Not bad considering I fixed the damn thing myself.
Anyone heading to Nuit Blanche tomorrow? [editline]2nd October 2015[/editline] Found some of these in the St Lawrence Market the other week. http://www.dolfin.be/en/tablettes/filter/saveurs/cinnamon,mint-leaves,mint-leaves-.html My god they're delicious.
Anyone heading to Nuit Blanche tomorrow?
I might, depends on how Saturday goes for me. I went last year and it was obviously more fun with friends. And when you're drunk and/or high when looking at shitty art. I remember getting home at like 6am. Good times. Oh and walking for god knows how long to a subway station because street car transit tracking decided to shit itself.
I've been drinking 100s of dollars of wine tonight courtesy of my company. I couldn't convince any of the really hot servers to join my coworkers and I :(
I should really go down to Vancouver some time this month. I have not been there for a while. I miss it. ;_;
I should really go down to Vancouver some time this month. I have not been there for a while.
likewise, I haven't been there in like 5 years
I start school at lower lonsdale tomorrow and i'm not looking forward to the potential parking frustration that will ensue...
You guys hear about the mob that attacked the police in Dundas Square last night? Fucking scary stuff.
Sounds like typical Nuit Blanche
It seems like the only thing being discussed during this election is Muslims...
It seems like the only thing being discussed during this election is Muslims...
Fears a good way to get votes.
It seems like the only thing being discussed during this election is Muslims...
It's rather sad when the issues politicians are trying to sway you with are pot and niqabs.
So that whole thing where we have to vote is coming up soon and I have no idea who to vote for I am not nearly informed enough to make a decision this important
So that whole thing where we have to vote is coming up soon and I have no idea who to vote for I am not nearly informed enough to make a decision this important
You could always decline to vote iirc
You could always decline to vote iirc
Well he's got like 14 days to do some basic research. Just look up the parties stances on issues you care about and then vote for the ndp. :ok:
The party that has my vote would be the one that is the most beneficial towards students and young adults, and the party that puts money back into the CBC. Because ya know, I might be working there in the future and it's not gonna happen if the CBC looses a lot of funding.
I should really go down to Vancouver some time this month. I have not been there for a while. I miss it. ;_;
Why not go to Langley and egg LMG? :smug: [sp]/s, in case it wasn't obvious[/sp]
That's already planned.
Pretty sure Ive decided on NDP as my vote. Liberals are still in support of C-51, and while full legalization of weed is neat, at least NDP is decriminalizing it.

That's good since my future job is going to involve making Canadian content for TV, etc.
anybody here have experience working with Elections Canada? just got signed up to be an electoral officer
I worked once in 2011 as a poll clerk. Training is a bit confusing since they give you a lot of papers and this big ol' textbook to read(didn't really need it since all I did was highlight/cross it out on a name on a list). Overall, the work is straightforward, and wherever you get posted the supervisor or someone who has been to an election before will help you out if you get stuck on something. It was fun, and it was easy money. But by electoral officer, did you mean registration officer?

From what I can remember, I think you sit on your own or with the registration officer, and do the typical ''hi do you need help?'' ''you go here and from there go there'' .etc things. Hope you enjoy it!
I got offered to be a Scrutineer. I'm definitely interested in it to see how the whole system works, but school and work don't really line up with me being able to.
