Trans-Pacific-Partnership, Bill C-41...
Wasn't there going to be amendments to C-41?
Wasn't there going to be amendments to C-41?
Why would they amend it?

Look at that red!
My brother works for the NDP as a researcher. He's a bit sad that they're getting crushed but he takes solace in the fact that Harper won't be elected.

Hey plus legal weed.
I'm more concerned about Trudeau's take on the TPP treaty.
Seriously though, how long do you think it will take before marijuana becomes legalized?
Mulcair has a really smoothing voice.

To add to this, My brother hopes that the libs will at least hold their promise about electoral reforms but since they're a majority he says they probably won't do shit since it doesn't help them out anymore.
I'm interested in Canadian/global politics - could someone give me a brief rundown of what to expect from this change? (I've considered immigrating, my grandmother was a Canadian.)

This may or may not help.
I heard about the liberals doing the best they can to reduce global warming, but this is just ridiculous...

It's ten to five. You hear a knock at the door. It's an obviously drunk Steven Harper. What do you do?

Say "Sorry, I've got.... other commitments." as I look back to Trudeau in my bed.
My lab this morning was surprisingly political, with the general consensus being that we, as engineers, have no future in this country and will need to move if we want to earn any decent money from our degrees.

Turn him away, as I already got my hands full with an inebriated Mulcair

The following is a quote:
"I want to be part of the upper-class. You all probably do to, we're spending so much time studying to be engineers, I'm sure you all want to be making decent money. Thanks to Trudeau's new tax plans, if we end up making $100 grand a year, which isn't even really that much, we'll be losing 48% of it to taxes, meaning we'll only take home about $52 grand. You can't live in Canada if you want to become rich anymore."

I guess the only way to survive rich is to be stupid rich

Trying to get rich out of engineering sounds like a plan for disappointment. They should've tried going into finance instead.
"if we end up making $100 grand a year, which isn't even really that much"
Damn, I'd be fucking happy ever making that in my life. Sure 100k/year isn't being rich but no matter what you say, you'll still be living pretty comfortably on that.

Yeah, I'm a student and I work part time and I only make $50k a year. It's pretty hard to survive on 50k.

I only make $18K a year working part-time while in school, and that's including full-time summer work. Where can I get your job?
"only 50k" God damn, where do guys live where 50k part time and 100k full time is chump money?
I probaby make around 20-30k right now working full time because my two jobs are fucking garbage. Next year can't come fast enough for me to go back to school.

I work for the City of Vancouver. It's expensive to live around here.

The shitty thing is you can live in a town 3 hours away and not even make half of that.
