Regardless, this contest deal is an opportunity to maybe get a chance to do something else.
I don't see the harm in looking into outside options. At least she's being proactive about it and signing up for it.

Maybe she wants to try and focus on this, rather than wasting energy on a job, in which she doesn't earn alot of money with, she could be entering things like this and trying to get herself somewhere, rather than a dead end.

That's really dumb: tell this to the owners of the contest
It is not fair to disqualify someone based on over-voting for two main reasons. For one, it could turn into a game of "Let's spamvote on people we DON'T want to win!". IE, give your mom like 6 legit votes then get everyone else disqualified. The second reason is you have no control over who spamvotes or not, and anyone could do it to grief someone.
Please send them something like this, I'm sure they'll see the logic in this and if not we can always send them numerous strongly worded letters.

I wasn't saying we should do that, I was saying it's a stupid idea to disqualify her for spamvoting because it's so easy to right now that people could disqualify anyone they want.
