Wow, very mature people want to work.
It's still money. If your mom is complaining she can't find a job and earn money, she's just a brat.
Last time I checked, you can't sustain a family of four with minimum wage payments.
You, my friend, are a brat.
All these people sound like the idiots who cause problems in the IT world.
Also voted for Connor, because he likes turtles.

Something doesn't look quite right here.
Are you joking? Why dident they just limit it to one IP per contestant/vote. Sucks alot for your mom.
That's a pretty dick-move with the one vote only thing. It's not the applicant's fault.

I told you dog.
I voted Dave Ryan
This hurts you.
Like it or not, guys, this is absolutely stupid and it isn't in the slightest "Facepunch doing the right thing" or some shit. It's just a huge circle jerk of idiots thinking that a person deserves to win because she is the mother of a teenage boy who goes on facepunch.
Seriously, what makes her deserve win more than the others on the list? Other people on there could be mothers ten times as good, or people much more qualified for the job. You guys forget that only one person can win.
There's a thread like this ever other week, whether it's "help my family's bakery win" or "vote for my friend to win a wedding!" or some shit. If you disagree with me, look at the facts again and realize you're just being an idiot whoring for hearts and feeling good about yourself.

"Oh there are better people who deserve this than him"
I totally disagree.
I feel as though I should speak up simply because you pointed out last year's poll for my family's bakery.
Please. That is weak. It is idiotic to not help people out.
I'm going to stray away from the usual my product is better than the competition's product and tell you this.
My parents work extremely hard to keep doing what they love doing. They love baking. Call them crazy for waking up at midnight to bake bread, but it is something they love to do.
The crackling of hot french bread, the crunch of a tasty baguette, and of course the delicious buttery taste of a croissant are just a few of things that stimulate my parent's love for baking.
My mom loves to hear when people say," Oh my god, this cranberry-orange scone is amazing." or "That was the best brownie I've ever had."
I'm sorry for trying to keep my family happy. Is it wrong? Am I villain for trying to keep them popular? Yeah of course you can say," That bakery is better than that bakery." I don't care. I'm trying to get help from a group of people who share the love of doing what they want to do. Not everyone is able to find a talent like my parents did. Shit, I don't even know mine yet.
I do know this though, I'm totally for helping out a fellow community member get what they need in the real world. I'm paying it forward and you should too.
Leaf Runner is well known for hating everyone who tries to help other people because he thinks that everyone's motivation is self-gratification.

Your opinion is much like Stalin's control over Russia. You did sort of okay things for your argument, but you yourself are an asshole.

If it's something like, please donate $1 to my mom, everyone on the internet would be on the OP's ass, but it's not, it's something as humble and simple as, "Just click this, no surveys, no advertisements, no bullshit, just one click, and it's for my mom."
Even if it was for his dog, we'd all still click because we're bored and there's nothing else to do.
Also, is she disqualified? Her name's been removed.

Nope, I just don't obsess over virtual ratings shaped like hearts to feel like "I've done a good deed for the day :downs:"

It's the truth, like it or not, there's no legitimate reason that specifically OP's mom should win and that you're really doing a nice thing by voting.

You seem to care more about ratings than anyone else.

Yes, she got like 145k votes, obvious that at least one person had been mass-voting.

Please do elaborate.

Going on, I never said anything of the sort.
I see no one mentioning ratings but you.
Fantastic point and completely valid argument. I couldn't agree any more and completely retract everything I said.
