Here's some more trivia. Steven Moffat was originally writing the entire film but after he was offered the job of Doctor Who he took that instead. Spielberg and Jackson actually TOLD him to quit and do Doctor Who because they're massive fans of the show themselves. Jackson owns all the costumes to all The Doctors.
Several new clips and some interesting behind the scenes videos:

TF really wonder why it couldn't have been live action? Honestly, how stupid are they? A live action version would look completely ridiculous if they had made it live action. The character moments would have disappeared, and the style would definitely look off.
Caught it just yesterday evening and it is awesome! The CGI is scarily real.

Uncanny valley real or just very true to original desing?

Some characters with less exaggerated features look completely real, whilst others with cartoony assets such as a bulbous nose just look terrifying, sort of like that 'real life' Mario picture.

I guess it's very true to original desing, then. :v: Herge really loved to make everything as real as possible in the Tintin comics except certain characters.
Watched it on Saturday. Very entertaining movie. No hint of uncanny valley whatsoever.
Anyone saw this movie yet? I did and it was great. But the intro was kinda weird, could have been better if it was 2D.
Just saw it today, I was disappointed they didn't use the original theme, it was fun to watch but ridiculous at the same time, take for example the crane scene, nothing like that would or ever happened in the books. Also, any reason the UK got it over a month before we did?
When I saw some footage, I did have a problem with it:
its near impossible to tell if its 3D animation or real-time acting, seriously I cant tell the diffrence.
A mix of both. Motion capture and all that jazz
This was a great movie!
Too bad Chipwrecked will be 10x more sucessful, thus ending chances for a sequel :suicide:
They have already confirmed a sequel. Will be directed by Peter Jackson once he's done with The Hobbit.

It didn't even open at #1 when it opened last week and Tintin will be going up against it during it's 2nd week at the box office, when even less people will see it.
Sequels are gonna happen and a shit ton of money is gonna be made.
I just saw it, never reading a single comic book strip or anything from the series.
i loved it and i would like to see more.
I saw it like 2 hours ago. I was so into it and fell in love. Fantastic movie
Movies fantastic, I'm somewhat shocked by the lack of conversation for it. The graphics and such really blew me away.
Did really poor at the US box office, but I'd blame that on poor marketing, plus the fact that probably 99% of the American population have no idea who Tintin is.
Oh geez, just saw it today.
Definitley worth the money to see it, and the extra bit to see it in 3D. I haven't seen such quality animation detail in such a long time. Loved it when it showed tons of shit all going on at once with the camera panned out, like when [sp]they broke the dam and the water is flooding the whole town, and you see all of it going on in the background with Tintin just chasing. The driver of that tank must've been drunk as hell.[/sp] I'm obliged to say the action scenes are on the levels of Indiana Jones, maybe even go beyond. But that's just in my opinion.
Can't wait for the sequel at all.

Think about how many innocent people they must have killed by doing that. :v:

This is a fan made intro and is not cannon. Sorry.
He has been hired by the film crew that worked on TinTin, however, so don't worry.
I just watched this the other day. It's really, really good. The pacing and music throughout the movie is a winner.
