The story about my cats, Alex and Felix. (A lot of text and imagery)

That's a heart touching story of loyalty and bravery, this should be made into a feature length film.
RIP Felix
We used to have a cat named Alex who was black and white. Somehow his liver was damaged because of the dust from the cat litter that we were using. So we kept him for about another year, and then we had to put him down because started having some serious problems one morning.
We now have five cats. Two grown up (fat) females, and 3 kittens. We found the kittens living in our yard along with the momma, whom we now own. I might post some pictures of them later.
I remember when I first got my cat from the Humane Society, he was sick for about a week and had to leave him at my neighbor's house (she was an animal aid worker) and he nearly died because he was just a kitten. Luckily he pulled through.
This is him. His name's Max. I took the pic about a year ago when he was on catnip.

My cat is a fucking asshole.
~Fin~
I have an 18 year old blind cat. She can still go outside without any problems.
Reminds me of my cat. We found him meowing infront of our door when he was a kitten, and we let him stay with us.
At one point, he ran away from us. He disappeared for almost a month and he suddenly reappeared at our house, as if nothing had happened. I, of course, was glad that he was home.
Now skip ahead about 3 to 5 years. We noticed something going on with his face. He also refused to eat anything and would only drink. His face was swollen. We took him to the vet, and it turned out that he had a cancer of some sort. I wanted to have surgery done on him, but it cost too much, so we had to put him down instead.
He was with me almost my whole life. And now he's gone.
I'm scared of the day that my cat will pass on. Hopefully it will be of old age, not sickness or injury.
Touching story though, I'm sorry for your loss. Pets really are family members.

Cool cats don't need eyes to see that they're awesome.

I can do suggestive, unrelated posts too.
Hiroshima.
Nagasaki.
Felix was one hell of a loyal cat, you should be proud, yes you should.
I just found an image of Alex when he was about to jump into the submarine canal/waterway:

This is the very first image ever taken of him. Added to OP.
R.I.P Felix the cat, who dragged himself who knows how long over 2 momths with no food/water. He is an amazing cat.

Though that just makes me sad to think about. :(
A damn beautiful cat you have there, though. Wish my cat was such a cutie.
My cat ran into my house now she's cool.
I used to have two cats in all as well. There's still a little spot in the back of my mind for my missing cat but I've learned that she isn't coming back and I've moved on since the eight months ago that she's left the house. Though, our other cat took it somewhat seriously and has now replaced her with a small white plush cat and now plays with that as if he played with her. Every time I see it, it makes me wonder how much he appreciated another feline friend in the house compared to how much we appreciated her. You can probably guess which cat was the run that went missing by these next few pictures (the last set were the cat which had gone missing).

It's very rare that cats are hit by cars around here, so there's no reason to keep them indoors at all times really, you just make them very sad because the landscape around here is awesome.
Or, in other words, I live in a small fishing village in the northern parts of Norway, not a city. It's been around an hour since I last heard a car go past. :v:
Fucking awesome. Norwegian forest cats are the best. <3
My cat is like your Alex
Had no mother during early years so acts really weird. My cat's also 17 pounds though :v:
I have a cat called alex who's also the same, acts very strange and is crazily small for a one year old cat.

My cats are mysterious. And they always plan on killing my dog.
I cried you pig.
If a human dies in this kind of stories I laugh, but animals I cry.
This part in particular caught my attention.
A few years ago my own cat, named Fuzzy, was hit by a car (if anyone actually remembers, a few years ago I posted the story here and actually had quite the support. "Fight for Fuzzy" being the slogan. If anyone remembers that....). She got extremely lucky as she must have tried to dart past it or something and just got nicked. She split her lower jaw in two, fractured a part of her skull and broke one of her paws. Unbelievably, she made her way back to my house, scaled the 7 foot fence around the house, and hopped to the back door. We were given the choice to put her down or pay for the surgery to fix her up. We obviously paid for the the expensive surgery. She's filled with metal from reconstructive surgery but she's alive and well and still trouble :P
Here she is, alive and well now:
In both our cases, it's the idea that despite their independence and solidarity, deep down inside they know exactly where they can run to be safe and in the company of creatures they can trust. It's the love like that from a pet that makes you appreciate and love them even more. I don't want you to feel guilty but Felix fought hard to get back to those he trusted and knew he would be safe from ANY trouble. It's too bad you unfortunately decided to go the route you did in the end...
Regardless, I feel for you OP and I can relate. I rate you heart.
Can you put magnets on her :v: ?
Since we're sharing stories, I might as well show off my oddly obtained cat as well:
This is Milo. One day (last year or something), my mom was about to pull her car out of it's space when she had to look under her truck (or something), and saw this guy. He didn't seem to mind her picking him up and bringing him home, and then it began.

Your cat's nose curvature reminds me of the one egg-headed dog breed
I'm sorry about Felix and the other cat (Hellsoldier's) who ran away. The fact that the cat replaced the missing one with a plushy is the saddest thing :'(
Can you put magnets on her :v: ?
Honestly, i'm going to find out now :v:
This is so sad :(
This reminds me of my own cat story from 2 years ago. It was the middle of december. I was just relaxing in the basement of my house and I heard a faint meow. I thought nothing of it but I kept hearing it. Eventualy I cheak our window well to find a newborn kitten sitting in the dusty pit with gravel on the bottom. I immediatly got it out and brought it in. I washed it off and went and bought some weird cat formula from a petsmart and fed it. Sadly we couldn't take it anywhere becuase it was around 8pm and everywhere was closeing. Lukily, my aunt had been raiseing kittens for more than 5 years, so she ended up getting the kitten. She had to give it to animal control apparently. She just didn't like it. To this day im sure they put it down.
We found the mothr cat under a bunch of snow dead the next day :smith:
I have a one year old cat and a 13 year old cat.
Last summer, it was late at night and I was watching some TV after I had come home from work. (I work second shift...) and kept hearing a meowing. Went outside to find a kitten out there. Really was not in the mood to have a new cat so I ignored it in hopes it would go somewhere else.
The next morning I woke up and did not hear the kitten anymore. Good, I thought. It moved on someplace else. I stepped outside and got ambushed by a whining crying kitten. Greeeeeeat.
The cat would not leave me alone. Was a little skinny but looked taken care of at some point. Looked like someone dropped it off on the road and abandoned her. Extremely friendly. I decided to at least feed her and see what my options were.
I ended up bringing her inside and fed her. She was the nicest cat I have seen. My older cat is a complete asshole...
Anyways. After feeding her and letting her run around, I attempted to find her with the intention on putting her back outside until I could find out what I was doing to do with her. Thought about making some phonecalls to see if someone wanted a cat. I could not find her until I heard a noise - and realized she was in the litter box. Did not even have to potty-train her. She knew what the litterbox was already and it's purpose.
I was a little shocked. It's like she knew where everything was and what it was to be done with. Like she's been here all along and I never noticed her. I decided to keep her then.
Probably one of the most friendly cats I know. She constantly finds something of mine to lay on, shirts, and such, and is always following me about the house when I am home.
This is her. Peanut is what I named her.
