The facepunch app doesn't seem to understand the difference between tapping and scrolling so as I'm going through threads, I'm accidentally rating everything.
Hella sad that I am going to miss the eclipse, was supposed to be living in Salem Oregon by this time this year, but obviously, that isn't happening. Excited to see photos and videos when I wake up!
I'm at the vet with my doggy right now. She's fear aggressive with strangers but she's surprising me today! She's only barked a few times cuz she was excited but she's been quiet otherwise. Anxious and shaky but she's been walking really good next to me while we've been here. She's getting a whole bunch of stuff done today but as long as she can keep up the good behavior she'll be okay.
Last week, I went to my cities downtown to see a man with a sandwich-board which said "GOD WILL DARKEN THE WORLD" and he kept yelling that the eclipse will "Kill all who don't believe in the good word". So, uh, I guess I'll see you guys in hell.
I go to concerts alone because none of my friends share my taste in music.
Pinhole projector was success. Saw eclipse. Vision retained.
let's do it. I'll just have to work out how to get to slovenia :v:
Should be cheap enough for you.
I'm eating honey walnut shrimp and orange chicken and for some reason it's so beautifully delicious I'm tearing up and I can't stop crying.
i'll marry a facepuncher if it gets me european citizenship [editline]21st August 2017[/editline]
Pinhole projector was success. Saw eclipse. Vision retained.
i just wore like 4 pairs of sunglasses on top of each other worked pretty well, stared at the sun for like 20 minutes
If two facepunchers are dating each other they will be promptly brought in front of Garry and tried.
This happened, it resulted in me getting modded.
Pinhole projector was success. Saw eclipse. Vision retained.
I forgot about that eclipse... oops :pudge:
Hmmm. I've been doing some googling but I cant put my thumb on the perfect butt exercise. Preferably something that doesn't require weights or equipment or a gym membership. Anybody have recommendations? I want to be T H I C C some day.

Eclipse was pretty mind blowing, it actually made TN summer tolerable for all of a few minutes :v: Also three day weekend with the better half was such a welcome relief. (Baby Driver was the usual Edgar Wright delight but [sp]holy shit it got intense with all the murders of the other crooks at the end[/sp] )
Eclipse was something. It was cool, but it's never anything special to me. Just kinda freaks me out whenever I wake up and the light is very dim outside :v:
Well boys and girls, we aint dead yet, so that means the crazy guy downtown was a liar! Now we wait till 2024. You never know, he might've had the right idea at the wrong time :v:
We went on a road trip down to Oregon for the total eclipse, and let me tell you, it was so, SO much better when it was a total eclipse. The corona is incredible, it was way bigger than I expected and it sort of streaked across the sky a little bit. The sky becoming totally dark, with the sunset on the horizon and the stars visible was amazing. If you guys ever get the chance, the difference between a tiny crescent and a total eclipse is huge. Here's some before/during images I got of the horizon, though it really doesn't do it justice with all the image correcting the phone does. That's not the sun on the left of the bottom image btw, that's just some weird hdr artifact or something. My phone camera wasn't able to snap a shot of the eclipse itself.

I went on a date with someone I met in real life for once. Like, it wasn't a date that was set up online or anything, it was done in person using social interaction. It was so weird. It surprisingly went well, we watched Kimi No Na Wa. Even though I'm not much of an anime guy, it was a pretty solid movie.
Man, I'd kill to go on a hiking date.
Man, I'd kill to go on a hiking date.
i think we did die, partially, considering it was 8mi with 1700ft of vertical height gain (iirc)
