Jeeze. My job only gives me 24 sick hours per year, and I think like 1 hour of vacation time per pay period or something like that. I can take as many vacations as I want, but I ain't getting paid unless I work during them.
my holidays are tied to how much i work but i cant remember how it works out
as long as u call in 8/6 hours before ur shift to say ur sick u generally gonna get the night off too

As much as I would love to take a vacation, it's not exactly something I'm currently in the position to really just do.
I'm still in school after all, and that is more important than a vacation, even if school is taxing on me hard right now.

Is there any rule of thumb for how long after applying to a job (as well as sending a follow up email) should I just write it off as a lost cause? I know its only been two/half weeks since I applied for the first couple jobs but I haven't heard anything back.
I shouldn't get worried but the fact that work hasn't had any work for me the past two weeks is driving me mad (I know I'm leaving from there soon but I still have to support myself until a new offer).

I've been applying to jobs almost every other day, but mainly just applying to jobs that I would actually know what the hell I would be doing.
Also why the hell am I getting so many offers from insurance companies to be a sales associate, that is the complete opposite of electrical engineering.
Well, my cat has been missing for 3 days, but with my mother being the only one that she likes and with her being gone in the UK for a fortnight I was sure she had run off for good (or been killed by the psychopath who kills pets from a few towns over, which I really, really didn't want to think about).
So I woke up this morning thinking I could hear her meowing in the distance, luring me outside, turns out she was stuck in the sewers beneath the streets and I had to chase her down to get her out like I was in fucking IT.
But now she's safe and sound... and treating me with utter indifference
Nice to know the experience didn't change her

Woohoo, I'm actually doing something this weekend! Seeing a couple of friends I haven't seen for a while becasue of work/uni. We're going for drinks, braving the weather and having a BBQ and having a 'smoke'. Ought to be fun! Will be nice to actually go and do something for once.

More job interviews in a city on the other side of the world (via Skype) after only two weeks of applying for jobs than I've had in an entire year of applying here in Aus... Really goes to show how dead IT is here. Hoping I get at least 1 job that I am/have interviewed for. Will seriously make moving way less stressful.

I did it at 18, didn't find anyone personally but it's worth a shot!

OkCupid has by far the best interface on mobile and web.
OkCupid outright lies to you to encourage you to pay for it, though. It pestered me about how I had unreciprocated likes that it was hiding behind a paywall, and I finally broke down and bought it. There were no likes at all. Immediately got a refund.
My libido has plummeted pretty significantly recently. I still fap, but not nearly as much as I did during mid summer. Dunno if that's a good or bad thing.

I've noticed this takes places quite a bit during Fall and Winter. Must be a subset of the seasonal depression, which affects me kinda differently than the general depression does. When I'm having one of my moods, my urge to fap increases, but during Fall and Winter, I don't care to do it as much. Weird how it works like that.

Just saw my school mate from 7 years ago got married to a another guy.
I noticed that on all his photos on fb - if he's anywhere with any guests/people - they are all gay/lesbian too, it doesn't seem very common that say gay/lesbian couples/friends would have say another couple of friends who are straight/traditional (guy and girl).
Do gays/lesbians tend to be more interested in gaining friends who are also gay/lesbian and staying in those circles or is it just coincidence?
Asking because just wondering, my school mate isn't the first case I see like that, my previous boss is also gay and his circle of friends are also majority gay/lesbian.
