so here's a fun story, today i made a phone scammer break down and rethink his career after calling him out. it ended on a good note though, saying he'd quit tomorrow and find a better job.

I fucked up today. I was picking up lunch during work and the guy must've misheard my order. I wanted my sandwich on whole wheat bread. The only type of bread I can eat because it doesn't make my blood sugar spike and collapse. Instead, they made it on a whole wheat bagel. I was too nice to send it back and I thought if it was a whole wheat bagel I'd be fine. Boy was I wrong. I ate at 2:30, by 5:30 I felt like I was about to die.
I left work and sat in traffic for an hour. As soon as I got home I tested my sugar. I was at 110. This is considered normal yet I felt worse than I had in months. I guess the bagel made it fall too fast.
I know now that I screwed up but I'm getting sick of dealing with this shit every four hours. It makes socializing difficult because it's unpredictable and causes me enormous anxiety.
The only respose I have is that maybe one day it might just stop as suddenly as it all started two years ago. This has happened to other people with reactive hypoglycemia. I can't take the only medication that can prevent episodes because it lowers blood pressure as well and I can't lower mine any further.
My friend tried to kill himself today.
He's been dealing with depression for a while now and last week his boyfriend broke up with him. I've been trying to support him but clearly this is not enough (I'm still gonna support him though). He is still living at the same place as his ex which is not very helpful. I don't really know what to do

This post from reddit is something I relate too far too much. 1) Doesn't help there are like 2 gays in my entire town, 2) I meet the criteria that the guy is discussing - I'm like...5'6 at best, very skinny, pale, and have glasses that make me look like discount Harry Potter.

I don't have a visual type - I've had crushes on people that were on the hella hairy and muscled scale, but also on people who could hide behind a single branch and have zero facial hair. I think I focus more on personality because everyone I like seems to be...goofy, for a lack of better terminology, and essentially don't take shit too seriously.
