• Star Wars - New future movies?

I've been obsessed with Star Wars since I was a little kid, and I have played most of the Star Wars games, but I haven't gotten my hands on a good book yet. Recommendations?
Tales from Jabbas palace is REALLY good, I have read that at least four thousand times now. Theres also another one called Rouge Planet, I found that good aswell. [editline]04:27PM[/editline]
The game is pure epic and beholds a great experience for those who play it and a greater experience for those who love star wars. But if it was to be made into a movie then it probably had to be in more then one movie since the storyline is huge and the parts of the game that needs to fill this movie is huge.
Yes, this. I think more then one movie would be epic anyway, gives you something to look forward to. Waiting for the next one etc.
Kyle Katarn movie or Death Troopers movie would be awesome. I always loved the cutscenes in Dark Forces 1 Jedi Knight. [editline]10:29AM[/editline]
Star Wars 7: The Secret of The new Death Star, Boba Fett goes to the sun and R2D2 fights a lava snake [editline]03:41PM[/editline]
That's epic Patjo :D
I have doubts if horros and Star Wars would mix well, but a movie about Kyle Katarn could turn out well and bring in cash. While a movie or two movies about the KotoR series would be good, but not many people would watch that. Also Episodes 1-3 were horrible, Lucas isn't a good Filmaker, he's a businessman and nothing else.
All the movies were shit, stop flogging a dead horse.
All the movies were shit, stop flogging a dead horse.
the first 3 were good.
All the movies were shit, stop flogging a dead horse.
The Empire strikes back was one of the best movies of all time, the fuck is wrong with you?
Zombie Stormtroopers? But yea, I would love to see a movie about the Yuuzhan Vong invasion of the galaxy, done well.
It wouldn't happen since George Lucas openly regrets allowing those books to be written (As I recall.) Though it would be cool.
A long time ago, but somehow in the future...
I've been obsessed with Star Wars since I was a little kid, and I have played most of the Star Wars games, but I haven't gotten my hands on a good book yet. They are very well written, and have a lot of moral and social issues highlighted in them. They even made me hate the majority of the Jedi.
we need movies about dark matter and dark energy
I would like to see movies of the Star Wars Legacy of the Force book series. [editline]06:20PM[/editline]
Definitely the Republic Commando books. Star Wars has resorted to selling books and half assed video games.
Even Kit Fisto? :ohdear:
I hate him. Look at that evil smile... look at it!
I want to see a movie about the War of the Sith (or Sith Wars, no idea).
I'm going to try the Republic Commando books, sure as hell. I loved the game to death, only star wars game I ever truly liked. Now the problem is, I live in the holland lands, so it'll be hard fetching it I think. Never a movie, but that upcoming TV series bridging III and IV looks like it's going to use a lot of Expanded Universe stuff. A Band of Brothers-style miniseries focusing on Stormtroopers would be awesome though.

Oh please no. The last two movies have completely ruined the franchise. If there's going to be another Star Wars, I don't want George Lucas to have anything to do with it.
Hrm. Reminds me lately of how I've been thinking of my own future along with my long history of an obsession with Star Wars throughout my life, starting when I watched them at 1 1/2. Played almost all the games whenever they were out, and I honestly played RP servers on Jedi Academy for forever. Recently, don't know what started the train of thought, but I've thought of maybe a new set of Star Wars movies. Marketed as "Star Wars Tales" or some sort of thing, or sagas or continuities or anything of the sort, it doesn't matter. Instead of having to do with the constant main characters or the Skywalker family, just take it off into the corners of the EU. They'd only be tangentially related through Star Wars, not really sequels or anything. I've thought maybe of a few movies. More moving it to a "serious" direction, or this new series being sort of more for more mature audiences or having more primary underlying themes than just plot and explosions. That isn't to say bereft of action or entertainment and filled with cursing and gore, not that kind of "mature" audience such as many games seem to have, but just a more substantial set of films. I'd say a Republic Commando movie close to the game but also almost in a style of Band of Brothers could work if done right. A KotOR movie would be great if the twist was done well and made [sp]Revan[/sp] almost a sympathetic character, but it could definitely fit as a sort of classical venture closer to the original films. I really would like to see a Bounty Hunter Wars movie, was a really awesome set of books. Could be done following Boba Fett from the Sarlaac onwards, and hey, who doesn't want a kickass Boba Fett movie? After that something original I'd say, entirely off the point of the Jedi, the Force, or anything usually focused on, something more about the galaxy and the goings on than those sorts of things. I'd say focused on a group of smugglers, Firefly-esque, about the lives of the common (But more awesome) residents of the galaxy instead of the heroes, and maybe have it on the outer rim, definitely with Nar Shaddaa and Tatooine and such. SO yeah, all that. I'd love to see a movie with Kyle, I really would. Just don't know how that would work. Dark Forces would be cool, but I think Jedi Knight is a better story to tell, especially with the whole post-Empire feel it carries. However, JK would need the story of DF, but I don't know if there should be 2 movies of it, and it would end up terribly if they tried mashing them together. Who knows, maybe the public would like him enough they would actually want two, he's always basically been Solo with a tighter moral compass (And eventually a lightsaber). Anyways, that's my thoughts on it and my feelings of the subject as of late, the random banter that somehow formed that post. Just think it would be cool to move away from a focus on all of the Force-sensitive heroes of the galaxy and more on the awesome stories throughout of unsung (Or otherwise) heroes, or more likely in some cases "heroes." Then again this all comes from the man who wants to write Star Wars: The Musical.
Republic Commandos would make a cool movie.
If there's going to be another Star Wars, I don't want George Lucas to have anything to do with it.
Haha! What you just said there is so damn retarded xD
I love all the star wars movies. Looking forward to it.
Kershner should direct a new one.

If you do plan on getting the books, I have a bit of advice: Completely avoid imperial commando. Compared to the other books, it's nowhere near as good (i consider it to be awful), and barely focuses on the commandos themselves. I thought it was a huge waste of money, and depending on whether or not the series even gets continued, you wont be missing much.
ZOMBIE STORMTROOPERS! NOW! They would have terrible aiming when they go for a bite though.....
how about not letting george lucas touch this movie, maybe it'll be good unlike the prequels
