wax figures
I don't understand completely what this is besides a music video. How did all these people get together? Why?
They're wax figures and it's pretty obvious.
oh
This video is probably just a PR stunt to boost the (soon to be released) opening night of Kanyes Celebrity Nude Wax Museum. He's a real renaissance man, Kanye.
I don't understand completely what this is besides a music video. How did all these people get together? Why?
It's the saying "They're all in bed together" taken literally.
Everyone in that bed was made famous by another; bar Kanye, Trump (who is just there because he has to be in everything in 2016) and Bruce Jenner
i love how kayne still thinks he made taylor swift famous
I never heard of Taylor Swift until his imma let you finish, and havent since. Probably the same with a lot of people
Kanye's obsession with TSwift is kinda creepy tbh
i love how kayne still thinks he made taylor swift famous
Look at Google searches for Taylor post kanye interruption.
Kanye's obsession with TSwift is kinda creepy tbh
obsession is a bit of an exageration

I subscribe to the thought that everyone's in the video because they are (arguably) recognized more for the drama that surrounds them, rather than the talent they have or what they've accomplished.
Look at Google searches for Taylor post kanye interruption.
You could try and claim that kanye made her famous based on search results for her peaking but she had just won a major award during the event happening so it's kinda fucking hard to base it off that, yeah? Plus, Kanye's jumped way more than Taylor's search results who has been almost totally consistently more popular than Kanye since roughly november 2008 (stage event happened in 2009). If you really want to use google search results as a metric you could make a much stronger case for him using that event to try and bring attention to himself, because he was less searched than her before and got a massive boost, and went back to being much less searched after.

No, it's literally about how each of those people were brought into the public eye by another
Actually you may be right, I didn't catch the Cosby at the end.
any link to video?

I knew who Taylor Swift was before I knew who Kanye was.
[editline]28th June 2016[/editline]
Early Taylor was a huge country artist, while Kanye has always been a huge Hip Hop artist. It makes sense that people who listen mainly to those genres exclusively would not know much about the other while both remain huge stars of their Genre.
[editline]28th June 2016[/editline]
Especially genres as opposing as country and hip hop. A fan of either could go their whole lives without hearing many examples of the other.

AHAHAAHA.
Swift has sold more than double what Kanye has with half number of albums.
Swift
Albums 40 Million physical
Singles 130 Million physical
Combined downloads 96 Million
West
Albums 21 Million physical
Combined dls and singles 66 million
That kantye is derivative as fuck.
Kanye is one of the least derivative artists I can think of
[editline]28th June 2016[/editline]
how does anyone take kanye's stuff serious. he's a succesful entertainer, not a revolutionary genius
Hes arguably one of the most influential artists of the 21st century

I don't know man. I think Kanye will be remembered for his works like Jesus Walks and Touch the Sky more then Taylor Swift will be remembered for "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together".
His new music may blow but his old music is some of the greatest music of our time.
Plus it's hard to recognize her because she's non existent in the black community. She never comes up when music is talked about.
popularity doesn't necessarily equate to how influential an artist, there are tons of performers who used to be incredibly successful but did nothing in the way of "changing the game"
i mean bon jovi aren't really deemed "influential" despite their lengthy success

The point being argued was that Kanye somehow made her famous which is demonstrably untrue. They're both talented artists in different genres serving different demographics. It's stupid to say one is better than the other, or more influential, or more this or that, when both exist in different spheres from each other.
They're both good at what they do. They've both been influential in their genres.

so apparently this isn't coming up when music is talked about?
"making Swift the first and only act to have three albums sell more than one million copies in the opening release week"
"The album won three Grammy Awards, with Swift becoming the fifth and only female act to receive the Album of the Year award twice"

It's called being a pop musician. Also, Swift has changed genres multiple times. She has several audiences.
[sp]She's also been a shit musician until just recently, but that's just my opinion.[/sp]
Main stream pop radio musician plus Kanye appealing to a demographic of people that are more likely to not buy music

Awards are jokes lol people can drop that they've one shit all the time but like 1989 won over to pimp a butterfly that shouldn't have happened
considering that that's the members of NARAS voting on who they thought was the best album, somehow 1989 still won?
so apparently this isn't coming up when music is talked about?

No, it does not come up when niggas talk about music. only time I hear of this girl has been when kanye said something about her
her fans are little white girls with parents who will buy anything for them

I wasn't referring to popularity? He has absolutely changed the game multiple times in major ways
The only time I hear her name is when she somehow manages to steal an award from someone else.
i actually like tswizzle but kendrick got fucked robbed for AOTY
i actually like tswizzle but kendrick got fucked robbed for AOTY
Grammys are a joke and mostly a popularity contest, at least AOTY is
I wasn't referring to popularity? He has absolutely changed the game multiple times in major ways
i was going along with the dude above me, saying kanye not being as popular as swift doesn't mean swift is more influential or memorable than him. i'm agreeing with you :v:
i know that isn't really what's being discussed but i was just pointing it out
[editline]29th June 2016[/editline]
like swift may have bigger numbers when it comes to album sales but in the long run i think kanye will have a more lasting impact because he's objectively been hugely influential in his genre
that don't mean he made dat bitch famous doe
Grammys are a joke and mostly a popularity contest, at least AOTY is
Speaking of the Grammys, if Bowie's Blackstar doesn't win Album of the Year, I'm going to start a one-man riot in the streets.
