Even if it were massively popular on FP from an album that still is just the FP userbase. Threadless users aren't necessarily FP users and if they don't know about this site then they won't care. I'm talking shit like big game brands and such.
wait why are we mixing threadless with fp?
Hey guys I need to make a poster advertising a graphic and web design club I'm starting at school, but I have no idea how to go about it. I want it to be really good because it's representing my skills obviously, but I have no idea what will appeal to a bunch of 11-17 year olds. I know it probably won't be a simple, classy design though :( Any ideas?
Logo concept for a local Wrestling School, click for details: [img_thumb]http://www.tumblr.com/photo/1280/11260302706/1/tumblr_lstzkxceIl1qfvi16[/img_thumb] "WWA Wrestling Entertainment"
define the A in the logo better, I just read it as WW entertainment
i'd say just move the lower W down to make the negative A the same thickness as the two Ws would probably be enough
Hey guys, I would really appreciate if someone gave me some criticism on the picture below. It's a promotional picture for a (currently) personal source mod of mine, that I made since Valve fucked up the Source SDK.
The grunge filters are by far too sharp for my taste, you can easily make it look abstract and give it that "worn out" feeling without sharpening the shit out of it. And the smooth and blurry background quite counters the whole effect of it.

So i'm in charge of making a poster for the intergalactic talent show I want the design to be a little bit like this: do you think that would work if I made the colours blue? I want the same poster concept but still maintaining the futuristic feel.
Oh god that face. It's not like I was planning to sleep or anything.

and futuristic...
define the A in the logo better, I just read it as WW entertainment
didnt even see the A lol
i'm all for a combination of styles to make a piece interesting... but i don't really see a vintage style poster with a "futuristic feel" working, at all

i get what autumn means. That may be, but ingame the 20's stuff still have a lot of that 20's feel and not futuristic in any way, from what I remember in the game
nah it was a pretty even blend of 20's and futuristic and it worked very well, one of the best artstyles in a game to date
but from what i've seen it's also all very dirty and grungy, not sharp and clean like you'd normally associate with something futuristic
but from what i've seen it's also all very dirty and grungy, not sharp and clean like you'd normally associate with something futuristic
Creativity is all about overcoming the norms and make something new is it not? Just because it's hard doesn't make it impossible. I'm sure a futuristic poster would be grungy after being left out for some months/years.
Why not just make the content on the poster futuristic rather than the over all theme. Instead of the psycho doll, why not put a robot or something.

exactly what i'm going for, i'm probably going to realise that it's too hard and change my mind but I might as well give it a shot. [editline]17th October 2011[/editline]
Why not just make the content on the poster futuristic rather than the over all theme. Instead of the psycho doll, why not put a robot or something.
I wasn't going to make it look like the poser up there at all (layout wise) I just wanted it to have the same style [editline]17th October 2011[/editline] oh great they changed the name of the event, there goes most of my ideas.
what is it now?
what is it now?
Was the fist I sent you any good?
Was the fist I sent you any good?
yeah, I'm tracing it atm. Hopefully it'll turn out fine
what is it now?
"Garden Live!" the problem is that it's part of a fund raiser and the fund raiser has a futuristic theme so I really have no clue now. I guess I don't need to make it futuristic (like I did with the green walk poster) but it would be nice if on the day of the fund raiser themed posters were up to help with the immersion.
Hello graphic design I wanted to design a quick tshirt, mocked these up: The first one, I got that far and kind of thought it was a bit too cluttered. I thought about making the whole column narrower towards the top, but it would be effort and I don't know if it would come out looking much better. Any advice? The second is basic as shit obviously, I rearranged the text and sized it up, therefore it looks like balls. Anyone know if that's an actual modified font, or would I have to use the parent font at that size and edit it to reproduce this?
1. what is it? 2. is it bats or stab? 3. why is is backwards? 4. what do bacteria have to do with bats/stab/red in tooth and claw? 5. work in vector if it's going to be a screen printed design, then you won't have problems with scaling stuff [editline]17th October 2011[/editline] or really, work in vector most of the time unless you're specifically making bitmap art work, in which case it should always be at the maximum size you're going to need, and at least 300dpi
yea i have no idea what that is
It's obviously a bunch of slinkies.
Ok i feel that I only do stuff stuff when I'm banned from facepunch. This last ban I made a half assed drawing with a "joke" which I thought would be suitable for threadless. Apparently it didn't get that many good votes but whatever haha http://www.threadless.com/submission/376843/Silly_Chameleon
