[QUOTE=Oicani Gonzales;32976020]Because of printing, right?

Made the image at home, plotted it at school.
the circle is a bit too thin

I know, but I only realized it later

In GIMP because open source is ~edgy~
I randomly had an idea for a company logo and name:

I drew that quick mockup in like a minute with my mouse, but I think it gives you the idea of the concept
I don't like to blow my own trumpet but I think it's absolute genius :v:
what do you guys think?

looks like a boobie
-
it's very clever an' all... but i think the general consensus would just be "woah, this dude can't even spell angelfish"
otherwise it's nice, just quite contrived
oh wow i only just understood it
angle
angel
yes...
thats clever but at the end of the day it looks like a boob

after some refinement your handwriting would make a perfect font for that logo
i never knew what the goodwill logo looked like until just a few months ago.
saw it today and remembered with pangs of dread and despair just how awful it is. it is probably the worst logo ever created for a well known organization ever.
Ahh, that cute little lego minifigure head.... except it isn't cute.

Also just noticed the square-ish font with the round holes. So odd.

The body on the right will change height according to how much text is in it. Each entry will have its own table.
could do with some more contrast

oh lol I thought it was some logo for a small gaming company or something
i just had a look in photoshop

so, nope
does it really need to be 300dpi for a print though?
[editline]30th October 2011[/editline]
oh its ppi there
i dont know the difference
is there a difference
afaik it's just the terms to do with printing versus digital
dots per inch = printed dots per inch, printed media
pixels per inch = ..., digital media
[editline]30th October 2011[/editline]
and yes, 300dpi should be the basic resolution you should be working with when work's going to be printed

I think software measures it in ppi but printers measure in dpi, but I think 1 pixel corresponds to 1 dot, it's just that printers don't print in... pixels
[editline]30th October 2011[/editline]
damnit
:v:
wow if my computer rendered something with that size. wait it wouldn't render at all
When it comes to large printing, I usually take the real size, scale it down (like 100cm -> 10cm) and give it like 450 dpi (or more). Usually works great.
[editline]asdasd[/editline]
BTW, the point of doing this is to make it faster to render on a somewhat shitty computer
[QUOTE=D3TBS;33031246]wow if my computer rendered something with that size. wait it wouldn't render at all[/QUOTE]
Yeah, same here. I've been meaning to beef this thing up for years
Ah well
Gosh, even my respectable 3.2ghz quad and gtx460 would struggle with those dimensions. Guess that's what a workstation's for.
now that I was looking around my .ai files, I don't know how I ended up witha 1,65GB file. I can't even open it
