What does that look like to everyone?
That looks like an eye. It brings to mind something futuristic, retina/eye-related. Mechanical/robots. My 2 cents.
It reminds me of the front of a camera
yeah, that kind of stuff
Conducting a little test: What does that look like to everyone?
Makes me think of the Combine for some reason.
The idea was to create a symbol of a particular industry, in my case optics. Thanks for the feedback guys.
another faction symbol for a game: i fucked up the positioning on the pieces a little bit, but i'm kind of pleased with the final product!
liking it a lot, good concept and looks really nice i dunno about the level of grunge around the edges though, kinda makes it a bit messy overall
i think grunge inside the boundaries is good but for your logo specifically i wouldn't have it go outside the boundaries
tried it:
yeah i'm liking it a lot more what do you think?
tried it:
I like this a lot
What's the best site to sell shirts with my designs on them, in terms of how much I get paid per shirt, and how good the shirts are? Also does anyone have a font that would work well for Tribes themed stuff. Example: [t]http://mmorpgarea.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Tribes-Ascend.jpg[/t]
Oh hi there. "Choose your favourite Graphic Designer in Europe and make two posters based on his work that makes people want to consume more and to consume less". The other poster will be a silhouette of a man being unzipped by the chocolate paper showing a beer belly. W.I.P, lacks grunge. [t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3655193/Westerdals2012/ConsumeLessnogrunge.jpg[/t][t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3655193/Westerdals2012/ConsumeLessnogrungev2.png[/t]
i think just a chocolate smiley would work better but you know, you would have to mate it chocolaty, otherwise it would just be a brown ball
I think that would be too visually uninteresting and it would lose connection with the other poster since they both play on the same colour palette and way of visualizing the pros and cons (the chocolate showing it's effect when unzipped from it's paper). But I appreciate the suggestion. I tried inverting the colour palette making the paper yellow and the smiley brown, but it became too literal and didn't really give the impression of happiness at all. Happiness is bright, yellow, green, fun, etc. Not poop.
[t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3655193/Westerdals2012/ConsumeLessnogrunge.jpg[/t]
Once you go black, you never go back? :v:
don't eat chocolate or else you'll become a fat black dude
it doesnt look like chocolate also i cant tell wtf is going on with it it doesnt look like its zipping it just looks strange [editline]10th April 2012[/editline] also the smile should connect in the middle when it starts to frown
W.I.P, lacks grunge. [t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3655193/Westerdals2012/ConsumeLessnogrunge.jpg[/t]
the body doesnt look like chocolate really, maybe try some chocolate textures on the body?
make it shiny and drippy
the body doesnt look like chocolate really, maybe try some chocolate textures on the body?

it doesnt look like chocolate also i cant tell wtf is going on with it it doesnt look like its zipping it just looks strange also the smile should connect in the middle when it starts to frown
Got any suggestions how I can make the yellow part look more like chocolate paper that's being opened? I'll try to make it look more like chocolate by making the dents between each piece. I tried but the smile will either get tucked up in the eye or the frown will go outside the face, and I don't really want to make the smile smaller. I also find it to visually distinguish the two emotions better when they don't fully connect. because when they connect it's suddenly just a wave.
make it shiny and drippy
It's not supposed to melt and it will completely fuck over the task since shiny things is everything Olly Moss doesn't stand for. And I have yet to see him use anything like dripping blood effects and such, not much organic stuff going on in that regard.
don't make it shiny then (although: *** yeah) but olly gives things very detailed outlines and some big, gloopy drippage wouldn't be out of the realm of his style.
Hmm, yeah true enough. But I don't think the happy one will benefit from dripping chocolate since that's not really a positive visual. But maybe I'll make the fat man sweat off some of that chocolate.
whats not positive about gloopy chocolate
whats not positive about gloopy chocolate
It's melting, it's fat, hot, runny, greasy, sticky, etc etc. Unless it's chocolate smeared all over someones face then it's usually not very positive to see smeared or melted/melting chocolate unless it's being poured into something during a process or stirred around to create elegant waves.
chocolate in the freezer owns [editline]11th April 2012[/editline]
ugh i hate it when flash does this say you have a line (e.g. the grey border) and you want to convert to a fill except something like this happens when you do that god wtf it isn't that complex a shape
late reply cant u just use the paint bucket for this or something it really is simple
chocolate in the freezer owns [editline]11th April 2012[/editline] late reply cant u just use the paint bucket for this or something it really is simple
why would you reply to a problem in the graphic design thread, a thread full of people who mostly know what they're doing, when you have no fuckin idea how the program works?
Hokay, so how is this?
globs should be more exaggerated instead of uneven, like each one is a perfect glob also lose the lines they clash with like, everything. [editline]11th April 2012[/editline] quick example but contouring the body obviously
why would you reply to a problem in the graphic design thread, a thread full of people who mostly know what they're doing, when you have no fuckin idea how the program works?
uh ive been using flash since i was a child
