I regret trading mine away, I miss mine.
As nice as it is there are problems that can develop overtime. I'll list them in the order they happened.
1. Movement along the length of the gun happens between the barrel/receiver and the stock. Can be fixed with impromptu spacers, get creative with this.
2. Trigger box begins to split. The timing of this event varies from gun to gun. Mine failed in the first 4 months or so after heavy use. Other people have had theirs for over a year with no problem. What you will notice is the gun will not fire unless you pull the trigger much harder than you should. The problem is the 2 piece trigger box design. From the recoil the parts begins to separate and cause a few of the internal pieces to sit further away than they should. To fix this you need to buy the 1 piece RA Tech trigger box. Fair warning, this is the mostly costly part to replace (over $100, less than $200), but is well worth it in the end. After installation the gun performed fine and the stock wobble was fixed.
3. Bolt cover snapped off. Replaced mine with an overpriced RA Tech EBR bolt cover, but I think Evike has the stock covers for cheap.
4. Nozzle guide snapped. I think these are made of plastic. While zeroing my gun I noticed it wouldn't shoot. Checked the bolt, it had failed to return to the home position. The nozzle of the bolt had rotated while the gun was fired causing it not to seat properly when the bolt traveled back. Replaced it with RA Tech parts made of aluminum.
Keep in mind this all took place over a year and a half or so that I had it. Never had my magazines leaks and performance was great. One of the few GBBR's I've owned that felt like it had an advantage at range over some AEGs. Some of the main reasons why I sold it was the weight and the stock. It's a bitch to lug this rifle around all day, especially if you got a scope mounted to it. For me the stock is uncomfortable and would hurt my wrist after a few hours of carry. If I could get a cheap stock with a pistol grip that would fit it, I might look into one again.
I'm ordering tonight along with two additional mags, and some time soon I plan to buy a Vietnam used stock and dremel it to hold the we guts. This will solve the problem of stock travel and such, but will make it much heavier. I also love the feel of a standard rifle stock. I've looked at all of the RA tech parts, and plan to just replace things as needed. Gotta say I'm very excited.
I'm not sure about the goggles you posted, the second and third ones look big enough but don't take my word for them.
You can get a good pair of ESS Land Ops on Ebay for around $20-30. I bought a pair of those specifically for wearing my glasses with and they fit snugly. They're a bigger pair of goggles than something like Desert Locusts or ESS NVGs so you get the benefit of a tiny bit of extra protection around your face and field of view.
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313&_nkw=ESS+Land+Ops&_sacat=0&_from=R40
Look through there for what you want. I took a look and to me the best listing is this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ESS-Land-Ops-Military-Safety-Goggles-OLIVE-w-Strap-NEW-ESS010V-MLSC-Ski-/310510786634?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item484be2984a
New condition and it comes with everything (Goggles, clear lens, smoke lens, cloth lens bag, carrying bag, instruction book, and the sleeve on the headband).
SWD Goggles also fit my glasses very well but I don't have the ANSI rated lens for it, so I can't wear it airsofting. If you do come across an ANSI rated pair (usually listed with the name ballistics), that's also a good option for you.
I do like the goggles you've posted, but is there anywhere I could purchase these other than eBay?
My PayPal got hacked recently and I'm a bit paranoid about using it anymore.
There's surplus stores and other places like Amazon that sell them but they're usually listed $60 and up. My searches on Google for Land Ops ranged $20-$40 only show Ebay results.
Is there any way you can confirm that your paypal is safe to use? It's always a good idea to not skimp on goggles, but when you can buy them for $30-$40 less by buying on Ebay you should take advantage of that.

ESS Land Ops and SWDs everywhere
The right eyewear choice.

im doing that with my g&g m14
i keep forgetting i own a g&g m14
looking into trading my AEG and all the mags to someone who has a GBBR with a few mags that arent complete shit.
I love gas guns and having fewer rounds as well as the recoil and sound. most people dont like them because you cant use them in cold weather but I live in texas and only a few days out of the year are cold enough to make a difference in green gas.
how stupid am I?
depends on what the gbbr is
I used my GBB M4 almost exclusively today. Had one jam in the first game I played, but after that I had no issues. Gas efficiency is great, and accuracy is on par with my G&G, so I dont really feel like I'm gimping myself. I do have few rounds, but I just shoot less to compensate.
HOWEVER, you need to be responsible with a gbb more than an AEG. Need to clean it and lube it and keep it happy. Also, they are not cheap.

Overall, as fun as having a GBBR is, I would still recommend just keeping an AEG.
I have a blowback crosman M50, looks like an Uzi. It's my favorite to shoot as it just sounds neat and the recoil is neat, but I couldn't see using it as primary.
What's the best SCAR excepting the Tokyo Marui? I think that will be my next purchase over the summer

VFC, followed super closely by the G&G.
Those VFC SCAR's are HAWT.
What do you guys think is hands down the best WW2-era airsoft gun? (the brand and model, and still obtainable)
I'm watching The Pacific again and I'm on a WW2 roll, I need more guns to add onto my wishlist and then build a wooden box for.
I guess it'd probably end up being two categories though, as in what's actually usable in games and what's best as a collectible for plinking. I don't know what brand, but I do know the Thompson is an OK gun for games, and extra mags are easy to get so ammo isn't an issue.

Grease gun, PPSH, and Sten all come into mind for unique looking guns if you're into that

By the by, how are Jing Gong G36c's? Any good?
Also, I've heard CYMA is shit but apparently their AK's are pretty good. Any confirm on that?

How bad are they then? What would be a good M4 for $210?
combat machine nonblowback plus upgrades
if you save up a bit more get a lonex or a g&p
PPSH would be the best for airsoft. seriously I think you'd be reaching pretty close to the real ROF on that thing haha.
Airsoft GAU-8
Airsoft GAU-8
so much this
a-10 is mein waifu
I remember reading something here last year about someone who took an MG42/MG3 and cold loaded German 7.93 cartridges and put 8 mm bb's in them and used it in an airsoft battle as the bb's traveled at a safe velocity.
Wouldn't it be possible to do the same with 30mm shells and nerf rockets or something along those lines and fire that out of an A10? :v:
because high velocity nerf rockets coming at you from an attack jet at 4200rpm would totally be a good idea
Well it would be cool if it was possible and safe.

I think you might be misremembering. There was a video of cold-loaded 8mm Mauser cartridges loaded with 8mm BBs, then fired from a Kar98k at a range. It wouldn't work with any weapon relying on gas pressure or recoil to cycle, and I don't think many people would be comfortable having a live weapon fired at them.
i would love to see an A-10 firing nerf rockets out of it's GAU-8
that would be absolutely incredible
