Well then RIP TM DE. Unless Taiwanese will impart is wisdom of painting little bits and pieces of plastic.
My brother really wants a nice full metal m4. He saw this. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=7642 I know CYMA AK's are good, but I don't know about m4's. Should he just get a G&G instead? Put agrees for G&G and disagrees for CYMA M4 if you don't want to reply. Just need Facepunch's opinion on it since these guns are supposed to last us a long time.

Go with a G&G Combat Machine or get a G&G raider (could even get Raider XL at that point)
tape off everything around the flashhider so you don't paint that stuff. Use a razor to get clean lines by cutting the tape, or a section that is against where the edge of the tape is.
you don't need to melt the glue on a cyma 74 compensator before removing the tip
What type of pads are better?
So boil the orange tip on the CM040 and plier it off and I'm thinking matte black spray paint for the pistols. Any painters here that can help me? Something tells me TaiwanesePrick knows what to do.
disassemble your gun, pull out the barrel, and just spray paint the matte like you would anything else. [editline]20th March 2013[/editline] if you want to use masking tape to mask off everything but the orange tips, feel free to do so. it'll look a bit cleaner.
Duracoat or gunkote is best
For the orange tip on the CM040, I literally just stuck a flathead screw driver between the orange and the black and pried it off. Took almost no force, left very little residue that took a dab of Goo Gone to get rid of.
I got my Airsoft GI Noveske Hard FMG4 today and it looked great. The rails were a little too wide, my attachments had to have a lot of force to slip in. The problem is that semi-fire doesn't work. When it's set to semi, it shoots auto. Is that an easy fix or should I send is it worth the trouble to send back in?

Check the placement of the selector plate on the outside of the gearbox shell. Make sure the spring is there that engages on the cutoff lever.
get ANY other red dot.
Can you please recommend me an alternative sight in the price range? I don't want to spend $70 on something that looks like an ACOG or Aimpoint.
What price range is that?
What price range is that?
$30-$55.
get ANY other red dot.
Care to explain your reasoning? I'm pretty sure the reason why people get these kinds of red dot sights is to have a better FOV/less obstructed view while aiming as apposed to the tube style of red dot sights. But then again I might be wrong. Is there some inherit design flaw to these types of red dot sights? [editline]s[/editline] Or were you referring to the UTAC specific brand?
The design flaw is that they're all quite cheaply made and are simply the noobiest item you could own. Its like having a crossdraw. Sure, itll do its job, but do you really want to look like that guy? Also they look awful on every gun ever because there is no real counterpart. [t]http://i43.tinypic.com/2comw7l.jpg[/t] Wow, that does look pretty stupid. Thanks for explaining. What red dot sight would look good on a G36?

[editline]20th March 2013[/editline]
Hah, that's the exact picture I was looking at. Does seem to fit nicely.
If you want to go for accuracy the KSK, and the Bundeswehr in general prefer EOtechs or Short mount Aimpoint CompM2s
a g&p compm2 is fucking amazing mounted on a g36, especially on the 3.5x scope with rail
Would this be good instead of that open-type sight?
doctor sights look good on G36s too
The first dot sight you posted only looks good on SMGs. EOTechs look really nice on G36s, I have a 551 mounted on top of my railed 3.5x sight.
someone who knows about TM glocks [sp]you know who you are[/sp] how would I go about changing the slide on a TM compatible glock?
