Okay, what other options do I have? I doubt they were PASGT vests, really, I don't know shit about military gear, I just looked up the closest looking things.
There's far cheaper and better alternatives to a PASGT vest for syrian rebel loadouts, i didn't even know they used those. The lack of PASGT replicas really is shit though, makes it hard as hell to do US gulf war loadouts.
I know, I hate it. I really want to do a late 80's WiC-esque loadout, but the lack of PASGT vests is holding me back.
On the subject of ridiculously hard to acquire body armor vests [IMG_thumb]http://www.vietnamgear.com/Imagevwr.aspx?img=AirArmor1.jpg[/IMG_thumb] 'Nam era chicken plate air crew vests, anyone seen any for sale anywhere? I could use an OD RBA or dye a PACA green but i'd prefer this since it's most likely what it actually is and fits the time period pretty well and is also neat. [SUB][SUB]thinking of making an MGS5 MSF(?) loadout based on what i can see in the trailer[/SUB][/SUB]

You could build a time machine cheaper
Probably the closest thing I can think of is the Zsh-1 helmet They make replicas too
That seems perfect, but the cheapest one I could find was $115, which is way over my budget. If anyone knows a helmet that kinda looks the Zsh-1 or Maska helmets that isn't too expensive, please respond. [editline]29th March 2013[/editline] I have found a place that sells an English riot control helmet for €40. I might be able to take off the visor, but I don't know if my PBE-1 gas mask will fit.
people have built those styles of helmets out of modified and painted motorcycle helmets before

[SUB][SUB]thinking of making an MGS5 MSF(?) loadout based on what i can see in the trailer[/SUB][/SUB]
I was looking for one if these a while ago for an air crewman Loadout and the only place I could find one was some guy from the Czech Republic and he wanted something like $400 (not including shipping) for it and he said shipping would be very expensive because the vest weighed 40lbs, I'm fairly certain he was exaggerating a bit.
Not really an airsoft question, but which camo pattern do you prefer (I think I inadvertently made multicam) or These Images are very large, aren't they?
uhm what
you don't know what multicam looks like do you
So apparently my order to hobbyking never went through or something, so I tried to order again and the battery I would be getting is out of stock. Also I'm planning on rewiring the gun. Any ideas on what to do? I'm looking at 16AWG wire right now. battery I planned on getting: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__17287__Turnigy_nano_tech_1300mah_2S_25_50C_Lipo_AIRSOFT_Pack.html wire: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__9681__Turnigy_Pure_Silicone_Wire_16AWG_1mtr_Red.html +black
What was I thinking?

Since someone advised me not to get a spring sniper rifle but a Jing Gong G36 instead, I went on the internet and looked around. On my quest to find a nice rifle, I found this heavily modified G36K, does anyone know if this is a good rifle? It's the Jing Gong G36K w/ RAS, Silencer, M4 Mag Adapter, Retractable Stock AEG: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/aeg/jing-gong-g36k-w-ras-silencer-m4-mag-adapter-retractable-stock-aeg-g608-8-1.html
JG G36 is a very solid starter gun, and the price on that, considering all the shit on it, isnt too bad, considering just a standard jg g36 is $100-$120. Shipping from HK will be quite a bit, though.
Does anyone know if I might be able to take the visor off this helmet without having a huge hole in the side?
Purchase a Vespa helmet and spraypaint it. [editline]29th March 2013[/editline] Instant ZSH-1
Does anyone know if I might be able to take the visor off this helmet without having a huge hole in the side?
you'd have a hard time passing that off as a russian helmet seeing as the side flap things look completely different
Purchase a Vespa helmet and spraypaint it. [editline]29th March 2013[/editline] Instant ZSH-1
It'd be cheaper to buy a real ZSH-1, as the cheap Vespa helmets are all over $120 where I live. That riot helmet is only $40. [editline]29th March 2013[/editline]
you'd have a hard time passing that off as a russian helmet seeing as the side flap things look completely different
Any other suggestions?
