Attach one point to the receiver mount, and attach the other part of the sling to the sling itself, forming a loop.

I have a sneaking suspicion that if I were white I'd be just like felix.
So, I'd never thought about doing that before.
You guys just made my Multi Shot a lot easier to access.

I got a chance to handle one of these at HGA today, felt really nice.
What do you guys think about it?
One of the players was using one and seemed to love it, but he seemed kind of like a douche so I didn't take his word.

its a pretty good gun, but its expensive to run co2 all year round, and you live in texas so co2 isnt needed all the time. enough co2 capsules that have the equivalent amount of gas as a $3 propane can will cost like $50
Would anybody mind explaining to me how to go about making a decent quality spring sniper rifle? I feel like I'd enjoy having one to use on occasion.

First off you need to choose a system to use, so its either APS2 system or VSR. VSR is more popular and probably has more parts than APS2 if I were to guess. So you need a base gun, lets say a JG Bar-10, then you are going to want a harder spring, new trigger sears or trigger unit entirely, a new piston and cylinder head and all that good compression stuff, a steel ball bearing spring guide, a new hop up unit most likely, and a nice tightbore barrel, a new bucking, maybe R-hop.

I have no experience with snipers so that is just from what I know.
I'd definitely want VSR. Just in case someone experienced with this decides to reply, I don't want a competition tier rifle, i just want something with a bit of range over a standard aeg so that I can sit to the sides of firefights and pop shots just for the shit of it. With that goal in mind, recommendations on gun and first upgrades to do?

You have two options:
1. Highest power spring you can use at your field, as well as getting sears, trigger, and compression parts to make it usable. Of course, that power will be useful without accuracy, so a dedicated hop/barrel will be needed to make it good, so you basically have to replace everything.
2. Super secret TK twist option. Downgrade the spring to below 330fps, get a TK twist and fancy hopup parts, as well as good compression. No trigger stuff because of the low fps, so you can save money and have no MED, as well as awesome range and accuracy. Only negative is long bb flight time, and people not feeling the hit.
How cheap could a TK twist build be on a vsr?

Really really depends. TK twist barrels get expensive at that length, and depending on how important awesome compression is, as well as what hopup you go for you can end up with really different numbers. Getting the cheapest functioning VSR you can is also a good idea since you don't need to worry about high stress internals.
I'd look up a guide to see what you'd need for your hopup and compression bits, rest should be fairly affordable/straightforward.
Also, if you go L96 instead, airsoftatlanta has TK twists in stock for them so you can avoid overseas shipping entirely.
So a cheap used L96 from a dumb kid who bought it as his first gun, and then this to start?:

L96/APS2 has a better sear system, so the sears last longer compared to VSR (assuming you are using the same material for the sears). Just something worth noting.

I'd get those, as well as looking into proper buckings for using a TK twist in a sniper, as some will provide mindblowing performance.
What in the hell is the purpose of the non circular bushing of the V6 spur gear? It's annoying as all hell
so uh, a friend and i have a completely stock UTG-type L96 to play with, we really want to build it up into a decent enough rifle
aaaand, i don't actually know what's good and what's not when it comes to these parts
so far we have
piston, spring, spring guide: http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=35641
piston head: http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?cPath=648_656&products_id=35653
bucking: http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?cPath=24_71_368&products_id=39009
also this seems neat as fuck
http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=42046
would all of that be compatible? what's a good barrel + hop up to go with? and would an aftermarket barrel spacer be necessary/recommended?
also this TK-twist thing sounds neat
wrong bucking for an aps2
I've been to two games with a rental G36c and I feel like the gun might be too small for me (I'm 6'3), I feel like I can't shoulder it very well and have trouble looking down the sights.
So I thought about going with my first desicion a year-ish or so ago of going with an M16 - does anyone know how the sight picture and shouldering would compare to a G36c?
stock is 2 or 3 cm or so longer

Speaking of M16s, what is a decent low budget M16? Only one I can think of is the plastic G&G M16A2 which I believe is discontinued. I'm asking this because lots of my friends want an M16 (especially a railed one) but they don't have the money for a G&G, G&P, VFC etc. I tell them that they have two choices: Good or cheap. Is there anything in between?
Combat machine w/ kwa m16 front end kit and 509mm mad bull python. For around $250, that's a good gun with a upgraded barrel and its what they want
Combat Machine M4 $130 (Got mine for free in a raffle)
M16 Outer barrel $10 (Used from AEX)
M16 Stock Free (From old guns I had)
Dboys M5 RAS $60-70 from ASGI
Madbull tightbore $40-60 (I really don't keep track of pricing)
Budget M16A4 Total: $260
ACOG, light, and PEQ-15 not included in cost.

ender pm me pics of your mk18 pls? :(
I need to take some more recent pics of it, should have some tonight.
If a gun is shooting 410 FPS with 0.20s, will it shoot under 400 FPS with 0.25s or would I need to replace the spring?
Asking because I was thinking of grabbing the G&G M16A3, and the max version is $20 more, shoots a little harder and doesn't have a tinted lower receiver.
if you need it below 400 fps for field rules, using heavier bbs is not allowed.
its not the velocity that maters, its the energy. Thats why they say 400 fps with .20g bbs, because the energy needs to be below ~ 1.5 Joules.
[editline]8th April 2013[/editline]
.20g @400 fps is 1.48 J
