So, I bought a WE High Capa 5.1, and I love it.
Please tell me how to take care of it, and of cool aftermarket shit I can buy for it.
Thanks!
Hicapa has near infinite aftermarket parts availability. Keep it well oiled and cleaned, but not over oiled. You want it to cycle smooth without getting gunked up.
Silicone spray after a game or every few months if not used often. Not much you can add, tritium sights are cool, not sure what kind of holster fits one. Just get lots of mags and small internal upgrade parts.
I have a holster that works okay, but the front sight is pretty high and can sometimes hinder my drawing speed.
It's snug and secure enough for game use in my opinion though, and I don't think the front sight is in any real danger from the occasional snag.
Any recommendations on places to get mags for the best price?
omg get a pistol diaper so your mags don't fall out and scopeandlaser.com has a butt ton of hicapa parts. You should make an obnoxious race pistol and make an IPSC loadout.
yes please turn it into the most flamboyant race pistol imaginable
Challenge accepted.
Quick question, is VFC good? Should I grab a G&G m16a3 or VFC m16 e series for $50 more?
[editline]11th April 2013[/editline]
I've read it has feeding issues, sort of worries me (the VFC)
Yeah, although VFC is definitely more known for externals than internals. I haven't read up too much on the E series though so I couldn't say for sure. Either would probably be just fine.
VFC is a little bit better over G&G in terms of their AR series.
Finally going to be able to buy my M16A3, pretty hype
In suite of that, what are some good mag brands? I asked this a year or so ago but opinions obviously change. Was recommended King Arms, Echo1, and MAG, are their m4/m16 mags still good?

G&G M16A3 btw
I use Magpul PTS and I love them.
I use Magpul PTS and I love them.
I too, buy over priced mags because they look cool.
Actually, I don't, the p-mags last I knew had horrible feeding problems.
What's the safest way to remove an orange tip from a 5.1 High Capa?
heat and pliers
sand that shit.

I keep reading that MAG, Magpul, King Arms and Elite Force all have problems feeding, and that King Arms/MAG break super easily (goddamn I'm paranoid)
Regardless, I've settled on two options:
10 Elite Force 140rd mags (plastic)
Or alternatively I've been eyeing these for awhile:
5 Echo 1 60rd mags (metal)
I feel like 60 rounds will be more fun, more reloading :v:
Always have a back up maraca magazine that comes with the gun if I do run dry.

Quick question (ssuming you have these ofc), what gun do you have? Do they actually hold 100 bbs?
They hold ~100s.
Yeah that's what they say, but I really wish there was some sort of tolerance rating on magazines.
I've heard 100rd MAG mags holding only 50-60 or holding 120
Hey,
I've got this VFC MK17, rebuilt it when I started having trouble with range. Compression is awesome, spring is an M120, yet the BBs drop after about thirty feet. I'm thinking the hop rubber is on its way out. Thoughts?

Probably the hopup bucking if the rest of the compression is good. Make sure it isn't ripped or anything, which is probably the problem if your bbs drop that badly.
