First attempt to removing my flash hider on a M15A4 CQB.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/22aP61W.jpg[/t]
I managed to take out the tiny hex screw, then I twisted the flash hider CCW. Was that the right direction? According to it's information, it is a 14mm Negative thread. The flash hider managed to twist enough so that the hex key is now facing a different direction, but it won't budge anymore.
Also, is this for a sling? My gun has a sling adapter on the front of the gun, but not in the back. If it is, how do I adjust it to be able to use it?

ccw means ccw to put it on
twist cw to remove.
Speaking of threaded barrels, I almost stripped my friends AK's threads because I tried removing the flashhider without removing the little hex screw first :v:

Nope, that's not a sling attachment. What's your stock like?

There's nothing on the other side either.

If you want to be proper, you'll either need to buy a 3 point sling or a stock adaptor. Alternatively, you can thread some paracord through the gaps on the bottom of your stock and attach a sling there.

There's a little pin in my JG G36 flash hider, but it's too small to be a hex screw. You know how to remove it so I don't strip the threads when twisting it off? Someone said in the other thread that I don't need to worry about the pin and just twist it off, but the pin is really holding the flash hider in place.
okay so since my gun is still firing too hot (had a m120 in it before Im pretty sure I was about to crack the gearbox) any ideas on what I need to change?
KWA Mod2 CQR
Type 1 cylinder
M110 spring
Madbull 363mm 6.03 tbb
9.6v 1600Mah battery
these are the only internals I changed. I think my gun is possessed, stock it was shooting ~290 while the guy behind me said his was stock and it shot ~360
I chronoed at around the xX420Xx mark today.
also, my batteries are getting hot and my motor doesnt want to turn sometimes. is it possible I have a short or maybe the motor isnt seated properly?

Well, that's a CQBR. You should really go with a 1 point sling with it, it's a really good thing to have if you can. Very comfortable, quick draw from idle position.
You need one of these:

This goes in between the buffer tube and reciever, replacing the part you were asking about if it could be "adjusted".

Bad shimming or motor too high

AFAIK it's a hex screw, a very tiny one. I used a 1/16'th inch hex screw which did the trick.
Thanks for the help! As for the flash hider removal, it's not budging after I twisted it CCW (wrong direction, probably tightened it). Is glue standard on Classic Army guns (or all Airsoft guns for that matter)?
Have you tried heating it up?
For all of my airsoft guns I end up twisting as hard as I can with pliers and they come off, then I clean the threads with goof off.

I don't have a hex key that small. Here's some pictures of it:

Don't know if you can tell from the pictures, but it's a lot thinner and circular than all the other hex screws on the gun. It isn't even a full circle, there's a little cut out notch on one side like a pin.
Anything?
3 options.
1: Try to make another notch and see if you can screw it out with a flathead screwdriver.
2: Try to push it out into the barrel and then out the muzzle.
3: Twist that sonofabitch right off and hope for the best.
drill that shit out son.
I know mine was a really small hex screw and I think thats what your is, er , was.

How easy would it be to install the smallest patch on to a madbull black python? Also I use .25s and running an m100 so around 330 fps so would these be a good choice or should I just get a new bucking and flat-hop it since my current bucking is torn. Also can someone give me a guide on how to make an M-nub? Finally, what thickness Sorbopad should I get with my CYMA AK and what cylinder head should I go along with it (preferably one that isn't out of stock)
don't cut the barrel unless you have specialized tools
if you look at the end of your inner you'll see that it's beveled in a bit
you need that bevel for the barrel to function properly
lightning round for 2 points: can the KWA mk iv take WE 1911 mags?
no
and why'd you'd get a kwa 1911 is beyond me
well now Im not getting it, Im not 100% sure about quality of brands in different respects thats why

It's called a countersink, and it's quite easy to do. You can either do it by hand or use a drill.
First cut the barrel to the desired length. Find a way of cutting it perpendicular with whatever tools you have. Clean the face of the cut with some sand paper afterwards.
Use a countersink to cut the feature into the barrel. You can use a hand countersink such as this 28775A61
If you have a drill you can buy a countersink for it. Recommend running it at low speed and apply downward force on the barrel while you drill it. I'd go with the 90 degree, 3/8" body dia, TiN coated, single flute counter sink. Use these at work and are great for when I need to add countersinks to a part after the holes have been drilled out.

countersinking is fun
I don't know why
Or you can use a pipe cutter and a crowning tool
Or use laser cut.
yes because everyone has a laser cutter lying around
Well, we have workshops with CNC and Lasers. What type of barrel is it?
About real steel flashhider, use magical teflon tape.
Are there any good green gas single stack 1911's?
WE tech after the teflon mod, only after the teflon mod.
