Avoid sniper rifles unless you are willing to dump $500 in internals into it to make it compete with aegs. your best bet is to get a dmr platform plus a few basic upgrades. I recommend getting a long barreled aeg in the $150-200 rage and then getting a 6.03mm tightbore barrel, , IR-HOP, Lonex hop up, and some lonex compression parts. what kind of rifles do you like? m16, g36, ak platform, etc.. like, I REALLY recommend you avoid a sniper rifle.

A DMR style platform also sounds great to me (stupid comment; DMR is my favorite weapon when playing with friends in ARMA). How much will that run me in the end? Favorite platform is a hard one. ACR and SCAR are neat, not sure if they counts. Otherwise M16 and AK are also great. I'm open to any recommendation tbh
Scar is def. do-able but it will be more expensive. all the acr models are awful and expensive, not even worth buying. g&g m16s are good, and certain cyma aks are good. vfc makes a good scar. jg makes a surprisingly good g36.

Don't forget the dboys scar which can be had for under $200. The internals are Meh, but not bad. I've owned both their mk16 and mk17, and liked both. WGCshop had the mk17 in stock last I checked.
D-Boys SCAR-L for $140, that's pretty good.
Oh dang that is just about the perfect price. I can always upgrade the internals on those, right?
My friend has the VFC SCAR-H SSR, the thing is monstrous but performs amazingly and is solid as 20 rocks made of steel.
ACM PPK yes/no? Also, where would be the best place to pick one up? RSOV has 'em for $80.
I see it as more of a novelty to use every once in a while, but I would love to own one. When it restocks, I'm definitely buying a Marushin COP 357.
Oh dang that is just about the perfect price. I can always upgrade the internals on those, right?
The scar l is a v2, fully compatible. Scar h is elongated v2 AFAIK, mostly compatible. Wgc is in china though, so shipping may be steep.
ACM PPK yes/no? Also, where would be the best place to pick one up? Also, reviews say it chronoes at 170fps, which means no one will feel it at all, so its probably only good for plinking. I know a guy selling a tan VFC SSR with some mags for 300
Ehobby has the 6mm version? Mind linking to it?
can anyone in the UK point me to a store that ISN'T OUT OF STOCK ON FUCKING AK-S74 varients thanks
i just put the m-nub in my r-hop gun and after some tuning its working fine, but im not getting much more range or accuracy than I did with my regular bucking and nub setup, so I figure I need to switch to heavier bbs so here is the choice 4000 bioshot .30s for $23 shipped or 4000 bioshot .32s for $24.25 shipped artistic for .30s zing for .32s
So I've narrowed it down to two choices. Comments, thoughts? I'll keep looking for another M16, but I like that style
SCAR-H has a standard V2 but a really long nozzle and stupid selector mechanism
looking into getting a MOSFET but dont really need a $90 one. looking for inexpensive but not cheap.
extreme fire sw-sf
Oh yeah what electrical mods would I need so that my gun will agree with the 11.1 lipo? I'm gonna install deans anyway but from what I've heard I'll need a MOSFET at the very least. Any ideas for a good budget one?
Im just staring at your post right now, are you fo real.
Do I need a mosfet?
is it bad that i like dwt more than you
I don't like either, honestly.
you do realize that you don't need deans or a mosfet to use an 11.1v lipo
no but its nice to have.
Okay, rephrased question. Will a MOSFET help to prolong the life of my gearbox components? Will I experience arcing on my trigger contacts if I don't use one?
mebe yes
