Not really. Everyone just plays, atleast from my experience. And all the BF3 v MW3 shit doesn't happen either. I was in a server having a nice talk with a dude about how we do love the gunplay in BF3 but the pace of MW3 is just more fun (in our opinions). That shit is reserved for console gaming peasants.
Console peasants? More like bro-gamers. The ones that think that if it's the most popular game it has to be the best.
I would hardscope just to make everyone angry.
I hope that in the future Infinity Ward/Treyarch make it so that the sniper rifle is incredibly inaccurate for the first few seconds of scoping. The idea of sniper rifles outdoing shotguns in close quarters is one of the worst things in that game.

Then what's softscoping?
Then what's softscoping?
The term is quickscoping.

As in 1 second after scoping you hear the bipod/stabilizer of the day click and a small jitter of the scope.
Indeed, but hey mouse, keyboard and console autoaim. Kids be shouting hacker all year.
I love it when they cry and call you a hacker :downs:
So recon should only use mav in your opinion?
In bad company 2. I was a very good recon. I spammed Q like there was no tomorrow when pointing at the enemy and goddamit, my team won.
He said in real life.
So what's his point then? Either it had no relevance to what I said, which is what you're implying or he made a very poor point in favor of "recon is not for sniping".
In bad company 2.
How does shooting your rifle stops you from spamming q?
you see more when you're not in scope i guess, it all depends on the player's play style, you could just run around as a shotgun recon and destroy objectives and still be helpful to the team etc.
you see more when you're not in scope i guess, it all depends on the player's play style, you could just run around as a shotgun recon and destroy objectives and still be helpful to the team etc.
Anyone running with an assault rifle/shotgun is just as much recon as well... recon then.
People who say that Recon isn't for sniping are morons, people who say that it isn't solely for sniping have a good point. Lots of people tend to think "Sniper rifle? That means that this class is there so I can kill things from a long distance with less risk of dieing", when really they're supposed to still actually perform recon while taking out what enemies they can and not just sit in one place shooting the occasional person that crosses their sight-line and basically doing fuck-all to help the team. Point is, at least some people actually have a point to get across there, even if it is obscured by a negative bias towards the Recon class as a whole. There is literally no real justification for the millions of children and man-children pissing and moaning about anyone and everyone who uses a sniper rifle like it was intended to be used, especially on a long-range map.
