Free healthcare.
There's free healthcare in the UK?
Move to Canada instead.
God no, I don't want to 'accidentally' find Justin Bieber :saddowns: Anyone have good opinions on Cambridge, as that might be the city I'll live in? Also, will you be able to gain an accent after you've been there long enough? [editline]07:25PM[/editline]
There's free healthcare in the UK?
I know, I just :fappery:'d to that.
There's free healthcare in the UK?
NHS, short for National Health Service. All the free healthcare you can get.
NHS, short for National Health Service. All the free healthcare you can get.
All the infections you could ever get at their hospitals too.
:sigh:
I'm moving to england from the United States, now now, I love the U.S.A and am proud to be an American, but I'm sick of the government and the oil spill and all that shit. Does anyone have some benefits to moving to the U.K? [besides Facepunch Camp-Out 2011]
No members of any ethnicity besides white english can be found in the north or south of England. If you hate asians, that's your ticket. Otherwise, the NHS and beer that doesn't taste like water and piss. Sorry, that sounds racist, uhh. The North and Cornwall have low levels of ethnic diversity. We have problems with health-and-safety being overdone, the nanny state and political correctness gone mad.
NHS, short for National Health Service. All the free healthcare you can get.
Lol. You know, where I live you can buy free stuff pretty much anywhere as long as you pay for it. NHS gets money from the government. The government extorts money from the people ("taxes"). You do pay for your "free" healthcare, you just don't have a choice.
Anyone have good opinions on Cambridge, as that might be the city I'll live in?
lovely city, good location (not a million miles away from london)... but expensive. i guess if you find somewhere out of the centre then you should be alright!
Pub?
Winchester. Get some toasties roun' the back, and a pin' o BEEAARH.
I live in England.
All the infections you could ever get at their hospitals too.
you'd rather pay for it all?

Also, at least our taxes are clear. There's laws about displaying sales tax inclusive, so no more going around a store buying :10bux: worth of food and being charged twelve.
you'd rather pay for it all?
Nope, just sayin'. My sisters boyfriend almost died last week because of an infection he picked up at hospital. That said, the BIR is rather shocking, on the scale of NHS hospitals.
And get anally assaulted by a welshman
We are all sheep in disguise, it's no different to you copulating with your wife/girlfriend/hand/shag buddy.
Most online dictionaries spell everything with the american method, dropping half the us Like Colour is apparently a mis-spell
I love asians.
Birmingham or Leicester, take your pick. We have large numbers of migrants here.
anyway, why would someone be put off by a mix of ethnicities? it's something that the UK should be proud to offer visitors.

If the guy I replied to had said something along the lines of "health care is subsidized by the government, and the taxes are about the same as those the US" I would never have said a word.
eh? you're from leicester, i thought they had a high asian minority population? and yes, the nanny-state can be pretty annoying, but that's about it.
Oh, and in most colleges around here it's an Asian majority, not complaining because nothing wrong with Asian chicks.
But we don't have to pay so much for simple operations.
And bananas are yellow, so what? Edit: Or are they? :smug:

You don't get charged a thousand dollars when you walk out the door of the surgery after they give you a tetnus jab. [editline]08:44PM[/editline] And it's definatley free for children, who don't even get charged the £15 prescription charges.

If the guy I replied to had said something along the lines of "health care is subsidized by the government, and the taxes are about the same as those the US" I would never have said a word.
woah, calm down. the US has to do with it because your argument is that it's "not free" because we essentially pay for it out of our taxes, but compared to the US who get taxed about the same amount and yet are still required to pay for their healthcare... we do get it free. if we go into hospital and need an operation - we get it. we don't pay for it. thus, it is fair to say that it is free healthcare.
And bananas are yellow, so what? Edit: Or are they? :smug:
Patients in NHS hospitals won't get turfed if they can't pay the bill, because the service is provided for through taxes.
