Are we posting our knives again?
I just mean that tanto blades are really not the ideal shape for most tasks. That being said, if it's a quality blade and has a solid lock it should perform well
At which point they make great intimidation tools, but self defense with a knife is especially hairy when it comes to laws which are very convoluted.
this sucks
You'll feel better in a few days. Just remember you did it for the betterment of both of you. [editline]16th July 2013[/editline] I carry an Italian made Stiletto. Good and pointy, really scares the shit out of common street trash. I'm going to carry a 9mm when I turn 21, concealed carry. I'm level headed enough I believe I can handle the responsibility of such a destructive tool.

For self defense I just use a Machete a dull machete, so I can bludgeon them with it
So my grandmother gave me something awesome today. An old DC-3D maintenance and assembly model. It belonged to my grandfather, who got it from his father. He used to be a maintenance man on the DC-3 for Pioneer airlines, then Continental when they merged. It was printed in April of 1946! [editline]16th July 2013[/editline] -snipped double post-
I wouldn't be able to trust myself with a knife for self defense (maybe if I had a kukri, it'd be more intimidating, but being realistic...). Like if the other person had a knife too, I'd probably get myself cut up. I don't see myself in any self defense situations yet but if I ever did look into weapons, I'd probably want a handgun. The most of a knife I have is the one on my pocket knife and the ones in my kitchen.
The key to knife fighting is you ALWAYS hold your knife underhand and you want to keep your knife hand out of their line of sight so they can't read your strike
dude you're fucking retarded you gotta tie your hands together and then dance around while Michael Jackson tells you youre an idiot for doing it

i have one of those and that's all i have for self defense in my home to be fair you could really do some mad damage with it if you're fast
its also damn useful
Should I buy Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion (which I've played slightly, need steam version for mods) for $10 (within budget) or go $10 over budget for Wargame: AB?
sins is fun
sins is fun
My Dilemma is that Wargame gives me a nerdgasm with the sheer variety of units to put into to play. They seem to have a seriously improved singleplayer mode this time around (dynamic campaign), but multiplayer probably still blows as it did in EE. Rebellion is great, I have played it rather extensively. I want to get it because its cheap and I want to support the developers, plus I can finally use mods. Issue is none of my friends play it and singleplayer gets boring eventually edit: eh, fuck it. Sins it is.
I have both, and I can say both is fun Sins tends to be drawn out and slower paced but I like to expand my empire with epic space battles Wargame is cool too because huge variety of units and you feel like a badass commander when you do something right but faster paced

Only reason I bought sins is because my Aunt gave me a $10 Amazon card which I secretly gave to my Mother along with $3.50 in change I had. Saving the rest of my money for printer upgrade [editline]17th July 2013[/editline] I went on a ridiculous spree with a fleet of 300+ TEC Corvettes and raped everything in sight. Boring. Not very fun
knives again? didn't even bother to take a new photo, but nothing really changed. Fake Fulcrum-C but I still love it.
I love my 6H5 because it's literally rock solid I enjoy twirling it as well (albeit it's badly balanced so I have a hard time handling it) I'd like a balisong one day but they're illegal in California because hi-capacity cop killing ~menacing~ assault knife
