So definitely just received a birthday card in the mail from my aunt and uncle with a $25 Apple card.
I mean I have an Android and my birthday was in March but that's okay, it's the thought that counts !!
catbarf still kicks my ass up and down the god damned street, Im still in the bad-meh range as far as painting goes

Fun fact: This model was an experiment in speed-painting using as little effort as possible. Spray white, paint 'fleshy' bits, successive washes of a brown wash, then paint details, then paint carapace with a dotting method, then wash. I've done better work when I take my time and use more involved techniques.
People regard painting miniatures as 'real art', something you need artistic talent to do. That's not true. It's not even a case of necessarily needing lots of practice, or trial-and-error. You just need the right techniques, the right tools, and a bit of patience. The difference between a mediocre paintjob and a great one often isn't the painter, but what paints and methods he used to get there.
Timebomb, how long have you been painting? Like, a few months? Yet you're already putting out models better than most 'tabletop' quality stuff I see at the local shops, simply because you're taking your time and using effective techniques.
There's really no magic to it. Painting miniatures is basically a much more rewarding, 3D version of a coloring book. I 100% stand by the statement that anyone can do it if they put their mind to it.

im bored off my ass and i wont be home for another 8 days.
i just want to see my friends and play videogames again
I wish I could find my one pencil that's like a foot long and two inches wide...how the fuck do you sharpen that?!
So school started and as usual my schedule is messed up, missing a 6th period. I'm applying for half-day/early release so I can go home before lunch but the thing is that I need proof of either current employment or enrollment in a college course.
DANG GOING TO ACTUALLY HAVE TO START LOOKING FOR A JOB NOW
There's a new medical center that just opened up on the school campus and I was walking by and I found out that my neighbor (who is a certified physician's assistant) is working there. Hopefully I can pass off volunteer service work there as "employment".

You should ask his exact unit, otherwise you'd send it to the wrong one under his name and the mail would possibly come back to you
Funny because QQn's address was first posted by a friend on our Russian fb page
First couple replies suggested we send him anti-capitalist commie propaganda along with a picture of his Soviet loadout :v:
Other replies suggested dildoes and candy
don't send them anything that could get them fucked over lol
send pictures of yourselves erotically posing in soviet gear
EDIT:
