Can't wait to get a new truck. I know whenever I come here I usually talk about it but it really sucks having to rely on someone else to use their car. I miss my truck and I can't wait to get a carbon copy of it, I'll even replace the bumper stickers with the same ones from before. If I get an 03-04 I even get anti-lock breaks which is new to me. Also a lot of the ones I've seen lately are coming with bed caps so I can totally camp in it. They're useful for so many things.

My dad found some Colt licensed, Argentinean-made 1911's from the late 30's/early 40's for 500$ each. According to him, Colt licensed a factory in Argentina to produce 1911s under the supervision of a few of their engineers, mostly for police use in various countries. The trades are worn in, and a lot of the bluing is gone, but they're guaranteed functional and have had a lot of the weaker parts replaced. Looks like my first handgun is going to be a 1911.
I thought I'd be broke after paying for all my stuff for school this semester, but I still have over $4000.

I'm inclined to say 1911s are one of the most enjoyable handguns I've ever shot. In a combat situation, I'd much rather something with a higher capacity. But I have an M&P-15 for that. But for going to the range, at least in my experiences, a low-end Rock Island Armory 1911 has outperformed just about every other handgun I've shot(with the exception of higher end 1911s and a few revolvers) in range and accuracy.
I just sold my old saxophone I played back in High School on e-bay for 400 dollars. Holy. Hell.

Just kidding, the guy who bought the Saxophone lives in Russia... It would cost 400 dollars alone to ship it out there. [editline]26th September 2013[/editline] Damn...This guy must have vodka filled palace made of Saxophones... It's all he buys on e-bay.

Extraction issues is not the gun's design's fault. That is the individual gun's fault. You can't declare all 1911s to be bad simply because the ones you've shot had extraction issues. As far as the sights, it's a combat pistol designed in the early 1900s, not a 2013 IPSC pistol. Not to mention you can in fact change the sights.
I like my dad's BHP more than his Kimber, but honestly both guns are a-ok to me.
shit sucks. i miss my lady.

I'd much rather have a FNP-9 or an M&P than a 1911. [editline]27th September 2013[/editline] Please don't assume I just fired one 1911 once and decided all of them were shit come on, felix.
i guess the point is that yeah, it's an outdated design but it's not like it's being branded as "THE LATEST IN MILITARY HARDWARE", when you go to shoot a 1911 you kind of anticipate the whole vintage-ness of it, if you catch my meaning though i imagine it has a load of problems purely because of that reason.
This came out of the printer for some reason when I turned it on [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/QifjN1P.png[/IMG]
The trabies cartridge.
