it's still classy as hell
No doubt, it's a classy handgun, but if I were going for class I'd rather have a nickel plated 1903.
Actually I've had the same extractor issues with 1911's I've fired like three different ones, two of them kept stovepiping Fun as fuck, but it FEELS old as hell Single stack is too skinny for me too

Just opened a fortune cookie with lunch and four fortunes fell out. All of them say 'The night life is for you', bookended by smiley faces. what the shit
Still waiting for Kill001 to post his update on the new recipe i gave him.
Went to Halloween Horror Nights last night. I feel like we went on a bad night because all the houses felt really understaffed, but they were all visually very impressive.
Requesting a hi-res file for the FP logo.
Still waiting for Kill001 to post his update on the new recipe i gave him.
Gib me recipe I'll go shopping and make it for dinner tomorrow
Beef with bone Pig meat with bone Salted or dried Bacon 2 beets 2 carrots 2 onions Small cabbage Celery roots 3-4 potatos 4-5 Garlic teeth 2-3 tomatos 200 g tomato sauce salt vinegar sugar spring onions dills Parsley Celery leaves Oil bay leaves Put the meat ( do not add the bacon ) into the water and boil it till they have foaming, then take the foam away with a spoon or something and put it on a low flame and boil for 2-4 hours ( the more, the better ). Carrot and celery leaves need to be grated. Cut up the onion, celery leaves and bacon, add the grated carrots and fry it a bit in oil on a pan. Add it to the meat.Process the beet ( refer to photos ). add the cut up onion and fry it, then add tomato sauce and continue to fry it. When the meat is ready, add the cabbage you cut up to the soup. When the cabbage is almost soft, add the potatos you cut up. Cook it, add the fried beets, chopped up tomatos and cook it till the soup is ready. If needed add vinegar, salt and sugar.Add garlic, add celery leaves and let it boil. At the end, add the small cut up spring onion, dills and the other vegies. Serve with sour cream PHOTOS For REFERENCE http://www.fotoreceptes.lv/borscs.html ( THis is classic borshch, i am showing you Ukraine Borsch, no big difference ) Eat it with Dark Rye Bread for more flavour.
I can fault them because it's an extremely outdated design, however. Not to mention I've fired two 1911s, both have had extraction issues. I'd much rather have a FNP-9 or an M&P than a 1911. [editline]27th September 2013[/editline] Please don't assume I just fired one 1911 once and decided all of them were shit come on, felix.
I don't see how you can call the 1911 outdated when almost every successful modern handgun (with the exception of Beretta's guns - which imho suck nuts) is based on its action. Don't misinterpret this as me just being a huge 1911 fanboy, because that's not the case. People just seem to always give 1911s a bad rep because they're always using a shit-grade 1911, or one that's 95 years old and never been maintenanced. [editline]27th September 2013[/editline] I wouldn't touch an M&P with a 10ft. pole, but the FNP and FNS guns are exceptional and probably my favorite modern handguns.
While I agree the year 1911 of our lord john moses browning was a revolutionary one, I know that many pistols have come out since then that have improved on the design and made it much much better. I would rather have one of those improved designs than the original.
john browning john browning guns! [editline]28th September 2013[/editline] hnnnng
I don't see how you can call the 1911 outdated when almost every successful modern handgun (with the exception of Beretta's guns - which imho suck nuts) is based on its action.
I think I can safely call the 1897 Diesel engine outdated even though almost every successful modern truck is based on its mechanism. [editline]28th September 2013[/editline] (I also find it kind of funny how some gun owners will argue against magazine capacity limits because seven or ten rounds isn't enough to adequately protect yourself- then talk about how good their 1911s are)
(I also find it kind of funny how some gun owners will argue against magazine capacity limits because seven or ten rounds isn't enough to adequately protect yourself- then talk about how good their 1911s are)
I also find this quite ironic. I also probably wouldn't carry a .45 honestly. With the advent of modern hollowpoints and +P and +P+ ammo there really isn't much of an advantage with a .45 ACP over 9mm
I'm thinking of buying my first firearm, should I go for an 870 or an m500?
