Welp I decided on getting an MG as my next gun. Probably an M249...
so it is now time to start weight lifting, cross country season is coming to a close so I should have more time soon to allocate to strength workouts. I'll still probably run all year though.
and I expect you guys to make fun of me if I quit or find excuses to give up, so if I do, just lay the insults on me pls :v:
yeah what
how are you even making these connections
[editline]17th October 2013[/editline]
why are you even talking about college
how are you getting this from a discussion about ap homework
AP classes are literally the most useless thing in high school. They're nothing at all like college classes
AP classes are literally the most useless thing in high school. They're nothing at all like college classes
I've taken two now and they seem pretty fun to help supplement your education with slightly harder classes for subjects you're interested in, but the problem is their motto is "more hours of homework = better education". Social studies in particular. The problem is compounded by the people who take entirely or mostly AP classes (however much these people confuse me, I should blame the system not the person) to get into colleges, and I imagine it works to an extent, but it's very, VERY clearly not what AP classes were designed for. Such people literally don't have lives outside of schoolwork in those cases, yet it puts them ahead in college applications so other students are pressured to do the same.
For everything. ALL subjects. Even if they don't have an interest in the subject. That is not what they're for. You're told that upon signing up for the class.
I took AP World History and made a D so no transfer credit to college.
Nothing of value was lost really, that class was awful I'm glad I wasn't one of those spend all of my time doing shitty hard school things in highschool.
All you have to do to ensure your future is network with people and keep up contacts and whatnot anyways.
real talk
stay in school
mbbird I pretty much said what you said in a dumbed down way haha, beat me to it.

my teacher for APUSH last year gave us no homework besides "read the textbook" and gave a grand total of two multiple choice tests over the course of the entire year yet I still got a 5
said this last page and i'll say it again
assigned work for apush is fucking useless

Consider yourself very very lucky. Also my WHAP final AP exam was literally the worst thing ever. Super specific things about sea trading by continents I feel like we barely brushed on
I don't think I did a single homework assignment in the entire time I was in high school

Haha I remember that one
I just got a hardcopy of the U.S. army document Epitome of the Russo-Japanese War. One cool thing is the 14 folding maps included with it, some of which are too huge to fit on my desk:

My dog has cancer. He's got less than three months to live.
I got my first paycheck from my new jorb
Sure feels good working $14/hr... C:
Speaking of money, I just got $100 for doing a logo commission for my capstone graphics design/photo class teacher's friend.
IS THIS WHAT WORKING FEELS LIKE?
I signed up to take a road test, it'll be Nov 16th.
The person I test with is named Gale, and everyone calls her Fail Gale.
Fuck
This is why I've been looking at taking the MSF course to get a motorcycle license, without any road test. I don't want to deal with this bullshit with cars and all the money and time it costs just to get the damn license, then I have to pay for a 20mpg box on wheels. Inevitably I'm going to be failed because of some minute reason even though everyone I've driven with says I drive well.
Just got back from a gun show.
40$ for a brick of .22LR.
Was 19$ last time I bought ammo.
I think I'll stick to slinging plastic for awhile.

So i posted a while back about my interviews with Joe Civitano and Roy Ford, members of the United States Armed Forces who helped liberate France during World War II.
My Interview with Joe Civitano is Wednesday. He was an Artillery Man with the 11th Armored Division, part of General Pattons 3rd Army. He took part in the Battle of the Bulge, the fighting that followed that in the Ardennes, and eventually the liberation of Mauthausen Concentration Camp. If you have any questions you wish me to ask him, please post them here as the longer we can get him to talk for the better of a story he'll be able to tell us.
Just had a 10 minute conversation with my dad about how Maroon is different from Burgundy. Had to go on a google adventure to find two different SKU numbers for pairs of converse to figure out that they are indeed different.

I was joking about how expensive paint is and how quickly people go through it in paintball.
Today was a good day. Washed the Pinto for the first time in 10 years, found that Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is extremely fun, and had a spooky movie night with the friends. Watched Evil Dead (original) and The Shining, and surprisingly everyone liked them both.
