Does anybody want a Google Play gift card? I got a $25 one as a gift and I have no need for it. I'll sell it for like $15 or something. PM if you want it.

guess who [editline]29th November 2013[/editline] on second thought dont hi i missed you all
I've never been to a black friday whatever deal in my life and I don't think I ever will; I did, however, purchase a fucking hELLA RAD MEGA64 POSTER AND TWO MEGA64 SHIRTS I DONT KNOW WHAT THEY'LL BE IM HAPPY
I never have gone out on Black Friday either (because the world is just a dark and scary place), but I've been making bank on deals. 5.11 Rush 24 bag that usually retails for $120-$150 I got for $95. Battlefield 4 for 360 for $25. And Contagion, Counter Strike: GO, and Surgeon Simulator for less than $10. I'm extremely happy right now.
Amazon is quite good at their sales
Is anybody on here good with prosthetics? The story im adapting to a screenplay says that the orc is huge and hulking. I can find an actor that is tall but it's pretty much impossible to find somebody with the body type of a hulking orc. Other than CGI is there any prosthetic work that can be done to give that effect?
Okay so I'm shopping around for a new pair of headphones and I require suggestions. I can spend up to ~$140, and I figure I can get even better deals since it's Black Friday and all (with Monday coming up too, just in case). I was going to go for these, with my Carcharias headset as tradein, but apparently they don't function nearly as well as they look :( [t]http://assets.razerzone.com/eeimages/products/5890/razer-blackshark-gallery-4.png[/t] I've been a pretty big fan of Razer headsets, despite what people say about Razer, because I find them 100x more comfortable than others with plenty good audio quality, but I'm open to any other company's hardware really. off to go trawl hardware on FP and tom's hardware! [editline]29th November 2013[/editline] (I have a Razer Carcharias right now, so looking for a bit of an upgrade over that)
Are you open to the idea of a dedicated pair of headphones + clip on mic or desktop mic over a gaming headset or do you only want to look for headsets? I got a Logitech G35 headset a couple years ago when it was on sale and I still use it because it's great (mostly as a desktop mic now, I just lay it down), but once I started looking for real headphones I realized how much better they were. I personally prefer desktop speakers because I get up a lot, listen to music from the other side of my room, etc. so I saved up for M-Audio monitors. But when I'm in the market for headphones again I know I'd go for the dedicated ones. The separate mics you can get are cheap enough too, and sound pretty good. This is the mic I see most people get: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00029MTMQ/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3RWHES6MUNS5H&coliid=ILV4BSHO1OWGT For a specific headphone model, I'd probably recommend the Audio-Technica ATH-M50 for $104. This is the one I'm planning on getting at some point, since I already bought an amp that I'd use with it. For those two it totals to $114 (not including shipping on the mic, headphone ships free), and then you'll have a quality pair of headphones you can use with your computer as well as other media devices. I was going to link you to the headphones thread but since you already found it and you said you listen to a lot of music, I'd still recommend the ATH-M50's. Look at the reviews for it.
For my mic setup, I just use my Rock Band mic and this little $10 desktop mic tripod I got off eBay. Quality isn't terrible and it was super cheap.
As shit as Beats are, they are pretty damn comfortable to wear
I own both a pair of Corsair Vengeance 1500 and 2000s. Decent mic quality, really good construction and I've found the audio quality to be absolutely fantastic and better than one of my sennheisers. Also the virtual 7.1 surround sound is absolutely fantastic and helps me a shit ton in arma and battlefield for positioning enemies. Only let down is the 2000 wireless pair has a shortish range but the 1500 has a nice long braided cable though.
Just submitted my UC application. Wish me luck, boys.
So my dad has had this truck since before I was born and I knew nothing about it. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/34238144/Truck/20131130_152004.jpg[/t][t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/34238144/Truck/20131130_152022.jpg[/t] We plan on selling it and using the funds for our Pinto project.
That's a sweet truck.
Woah dude the truck is on fire!!
I really want to get it running again, but my dad doesn't want to spend any money on it and would rather sell it as-is.

And haha I find I'm the same but substitute speakers for headphones with long cords. I need 3m or longer at this point. Someone totally just recommended the same ATH-M50 too, over in the Headphones thread, alongside an HD558, so I've been researching the two. Not sure yet but I'm hearing good things about the ATH-M50, and it's nice to hear more good about it! I'll let you guys know, those headphones and the HD 558s are on sale for obscene amounts so I'll probably make a decision tonight because I really have no idea if it's just permanently on sale or what at this point (black friday more like black weekend).
The HD558's are amazing and you will not regret buying them, especially at a discounted price.

People also said to get the straight cable for the M50 since the coil is heavier and can pull down on one side of the headphones. Don't know if you read that or not yet so I'm just throwing that out there. One thing I noticed was that the HD558 is an open design (you can hear ambient noise, other people can hear your headphones) and less portable, and the M50 is a closed design which is exact opposite and more portable because it folds, if that means anything to you if you're planning on using them on a mobile device away from home. After reading some more reviews, I think you should take advantage of the sale on the 558's. For music and gaming/movies, people said the soundstage is really good, and it's a very comfortable pair of headphones. This is on top of all the other pros is has.

I actually prefer the open design because I feel really vulnerable wearing the earbuds I have. Being essentially deaf to all else is a weird feeling. Portability isn't much of an issue, "audiophile grade headphones" never seem to be the most attractive pieces of hardware, I'd stick to earbuds for public use anyway haha. I'm going with the 558s, as soon as I pick out a mouse from amazon (I've been living for the past 3 months without a working down scrollwheel aaaaaaaa). [editline]30th November 2013[/editline] Does anyone know if I should be shooting for optical or laser mice? Upon googling, I've gotten literally NO straight answer or solid facts for either side. I have a pretty good selection of mice to choose from and I know what I'm looking for, but I cannot for the life of me find the pros/cons for optical/laser.
Laser; it's more precise, faster, and works well on a wide range of surfaces (including shiny ones like glass). I can't speak for any mouse other than the Logitech G500, but there are a lot of really good ones out there.

"only $10". i wish.) and of nearly the same exact ergonomics.
my laser mouse doesnt work on glass :c
I have a Logitech G500. I've been using it on my synthetic wood desk for 2 years now and I love it. I also had a Corsair HS1 which broke when I dropped it and Corsair gave me a replacement 1500 headset for free so thats some pretty cool customer service. Both headsets were pretty good and the 1500 is ridiculously comfortable. I have ATH-M50s which are my general-use headphones like for watching movies and listening to music. Their sound quality is great but the ear cups are a little small for me and they get uncomfortable after 2 hours of wearing them.
I just finished watching American History X. I'm not really sure how I feel about this. #Bitethecurb [t]http://i.imgur.com/KwDfCtp.jpg[/t] Also had a great day dicking around at a desert compound shooting guns and exercising muh rights.
I can't.
I feel so fat when I have mcdonalds but its so yummyyyyy!
I feel so fat when I have mcdonalds but its so yummyyyyy!
I always feel terrible after eating mcdonalds, but damn, I love those nuggets and fries. I'd be inclined to go to Burger King more if there wasn't an awesome McDonald's/gas station combo right outside of my neighborhood.
