Jesus you cannot read can you, Herf said " requires a firearm. " So I asked if it requires a CC PERMIT. I can understand a job requiring a firearm/firearms permit but does it require the CC.
I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt since you're not from around here. A lot of states just have "carry" permits that allow you to carry concealed or openly, even though your average person still calls it a "CC" permit. This was the case in Tennessee for example. So in order for him to carry on the job, yes, he would need such a permit, even if it's not technically concealed. Or maybe it is concealed, depending on how the business owner wants it carried. Plainclothes vs easily-identified or w/e. Either way he needs a permit for it, regardless of what the actual name of it is. Names vary from place to place (and person to person) - CCP, CWP, CP, whatever. But yes, I can read just fine, thank you for asking.
D3vils and Fragg may have skipped over guarding more than TV's, but you're just making yourself look bad Malikyte.
Guns aren't a very big thing over there, so foreigners may not get the fact that as US Citizens, guns are our right, which they don't quite get because they aren't raised with the second law of the land of their country being the unalienable right to own a firearm, but that doesn't mean we should attack them.
My first post wasn't attacking anyone. The one after that, however, was in response to blatant shitposting.

Perfectly put, guns are not part of our culture here. If we hear about guns its down to some 'gansta' from a rough Council Estate that has shot some guy because he looked at him funny with an illegal pistol he purchased for £10 and a bag of chips.
I was simply interested to know why, if it caused (what I can only imagine) so much stress is it worth it?
Hell, I work for a massive company that requires me to go through a thing called BS and CS clearance just to work there and I need 4 character references, proof of address in the last 3 months, birth certificate, passport, driving license and background checks - This is done EVERY 6 months and its stressful enough to make me want to quit.
I work in a top of the line Pharmaceutical R&D site, We're constantly monitored 24/7, CCTV everywhere, ID's needed for everything even biometric scanners in some of the more sensitive areas combined with a constant roaming patrols of security everywhere. Our security doesn't need firearms because the people trying to get in (mostly animal protesters) aren't using firearms so I can understand that code probably needs to carry if he knows people are going to be trying to steal valuable equipment.
I don't even want to touch the whole gun right thing that wasn't my intention, I get hammered on by all of my american friends 24/7 going "oi fragg if someone was 2 break into your home how would you shoot them heh oh wait zingo" but if getting your CC improves chances of getting better work in that field, and I imagine it would, then that's great. The only comparable thing here is some complex security guard union that you have to register with and train with to get jobs in that field as opposed to just normal qualifications.
I don't get that. I know I'm probably stirring up some shit, and I honestly don't care that people drink, I think that's fine. What I never understand is people that drink so much, get drunk off their ass, do really embarrassing, fucked up stuff, throw up and pass out like a shithead and than go on and on the next day about how funny it was or how great a time they had last night.
Since when is it fun to induce sickness? I remember I was at work a couple years ago and a bunch of the guys were like "Yeah dude I was so fucked up I threw up on the bed it was so crazy" or something like that and they all thought it was hilarious. That's disgusting. I really, really don't get it.
And that's not even going into the destructive side of drinking, like drunk driving or the people who get violent. That's a whole other beast to tackle.
This is how I feel where I live:

Everyone is getting piss drunk, doing coke in College, smoking a pack a day at 16-18, and being belligerent.
And I just smoke weed before I go to bed and chill with my bros in mumble.
I'm not American so I've never fired nor been around a fully functional gun before but is it really worth all this effort, stress and money just so you can CC? I mean for you job aswell? Dude you guard TVs. From my (probably stupid) point of view it is completely pointless.
It's probably an incredibly slim change you'll even need to use/draw the weapon anyway. I can understand if you were guard/night guard for some government/medical building.
I'm not getting it for retail security. I'm not retarded.
I want to work for an armored truck company, the State or corrections. You need your license before you can get certified as an armed guard.
The high-end jobs do, yes. Code aspires to open his own private security firm as he already has his security license, and is going to get his CC.
He's hoping to (afaik) do the jobs that even require firearms across the pond. I mean I'm obviously not talking for code, but that's what I know from what he's told me. He's not going to CC at best buy, but for jobs that actually require it like security at energy plants which are a big deal, we know a guy who works at a Nuclear Energy plant that carries an several thousand dollar AR since a break-in at a Nuclear Power plant would be, you know, terrible.
[editline]27th March 2014[/editline]
But yes to answer your question I do believe he wants a job that does require it.
I want to work for the contractor that does security at Indian Point as Kath said or any other job like that because they pay like $20 an hour to literally walk around with a gun.
[t]http://cryptome.org/eyeball/npp2/pict470.jpg[/t]
Than I can be swag as this guy.
I asked a week ago or something what you guys thought about CC at work because I just was curious in general. I don't plan to CC at Target, Best Buy or any other LP/AP jobs because it's kinda a bad idea. But in general I didn't know if it was common for CC holders to bring their guns to their workplace since they spend most of their time there anyway. I would CC at work if it was in company policy but the last thing I want is some kid to wrestle me, pull up my pant leg and scare everyone shitless and get me fired. If someone does rob us, they can take the money, it ain't mine and it ain't worth dying over. Me applying for my permit and that question are more or less unrelated to each other.
[editline]27th March 2014[/editline]
I also like guns. I think they're loads of fun to shoot and collect.
That being said if I lived in a country like Japan with a really low crime rate that outlaws guns, than I would probably be okay with that. But I don't, I live in America where the culture is different and I have a right to own a firearm. I don't even need a reason.

Someone posted it on reddit, I have no idea
Amazon package came in. Ordered last week but I guess that's Hawaii shipping for you.

Needed a new headset+mic since my old one was falling apart, it used USB and the connection was failing pretty often. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004MMEI8W/ref=pe_385040_30332190_TE_M3T1_ST1_dp_2
They fit pretty good, breaking them in right now since I heard that's something you're supposed to do.
The Pyramex goggles are fantastic, finally found something that fits my asianface. ESS Profile had a finger width gap at the nose bridge so I never fielded it, was using a single pane shooting glasses in the meantime but they fogged horribly. It comes with interchangeable straps, one like an elastic band and one like glasses arms. Will test it this Saturday at a game. Jealous. Domino's turned me down in my interview today because I'm not able to work for more than three months because of school.

How long are you in town? We could bbwarz this weekend.
Welp, just sold my soul to Forgeworld for 40K shit. $650 of plastic crap should keep me busy for a while hopefully.

Shit dude, my schedule got fucked this week and I'm only home for the weekdays. I'm leaving Saturday, so I guess the IFAP North Georgia Mini Meetup 2014 will have to wait till Summer. Not too long though, since I'm back in 6 weeks and I plan to play almost weekly over the summer.
Those headphones are amazing! I recently got my pair, and I didn't bother breaking them in. Still fucking awesome sounding. I dare you to listen to Guns And Horses, or anything by Ellie Goulding. It sounds so smooth.
Going to ASGI tomorrow to see Krilliad and buy an AK huehueuhe

Does anybody have a job in L/E? I have questions.

friend, no
friend, no
Yeah, even I didn't believe that when I wrote it since I still need like another 3 units before my current army list gets finished, and then I'll have to force myself into painting everything which means even more money.

I listen to a pretty wide range of genres, mostly electronic but everything sounds full so that's great by me.
Only things I would complain about is that the separate mic makes my desk feel a bit more cluttered with the extra line (my headset before was USB so there was just one line) but that's not the headphone's fault. The cups/pads are also a little smaller so they don't isolate sound as well, leaks quite some. Other than that, I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase.

We need to make this DARK and GRITTY
spirit week at school and today was "-er" day so I was a scudhunter.
walked out of 6th period marching percussion because we had a sub and weren't doing anything and went to visit my friends at their track meet, and ended up getting sucked into helping a buddy of mine ask my other friend to prom.

If I can't stand up and walk around completely on my own without falling on my face or constantly leaning on a wall and walking, I stop drinking.
Hasn't failed me yet.

When I'm no longer able to get the drink in my mouth, I know I need to stop.
I'm running kinda low on Everclear, we just hit under half a bottle.
It's not the small bottle, either
I had something witty and insightful to add. But then I forgot. So I'm just gonna go pour myself some more whiskey because yay spring break and whateverr.
Sidenote - Kahlua Mudslide + Bolthouse Farms Vanilla Chai = suprisingly good
