whats up with that figures arms? why are they so thin? or is it just his hands are really big? something looks really off there. I do want to get into 1:6th figures though. I want to make 1:6th versions of all my airsoft loadouts
Probably perspective I guess. You can buy different bodies for dirt cheap in 1/6 scale.

I actually have an old GI Joe i got as a kid when they still made them in 1:6th scale, but the ball joint that connects the top half of his body and his bottom is fucked up

Ultra Corps was the offbrand gi joe and I bought one that was supposed to be like gsg9 or something. was cool though because it came with a fullsize G36 with a removeable magazine and foldable stock. The body is forom the real deal though. I have another one around here somewhere, as well as a repro 60's era GI Joe
Man I really want a collection of these things now.

I think that's my new favorite filthy frank video.
Interesting quote I found from a British military journal from 1908:
At the battle of Mukden the Russian shrapnel often failed to penetrate the thick winter clothing worn by the Japanese soldiers, and I remember one authentic case when a man was hit by seven shrapnel bullets at 4,000 yards without sustaining serious injury.
now to scour the webs and find little gear to make my little man a little me
Where is the best place to acquire 1:6th figures?
http://www.blackopstoys.com/catalog/index.php
This is where I've been looking. They have a lot of stuff there. Unfortunately they dont have a UCP IOTV though, and the only figure I can find that comes with one seems to be discontinued, which sucks
When I was a kid I had a 1/6th scale Wehrmacht soldier. It came with a MP-40, a STG-44, a Panzerfaust, a helmet and a camo poncho. I lost all of it though because I was like 10 and thought it was a cool badass action figure and didn't know it was probably collectable shit.
The cool thing about 1/6 scale stuff if you can modify it too.
I saw in one my Japanese airsoft magazines a section where they made a 70's JSDF soldier and a WWII tank commander from scratch.
Or this guy who used the three shitty JSDF figures to make this:

I wish I could find some modern Russian 1/6 scale stuff other than that one FSB guy. But every site I find seems to be all murrica wehrmacht ss fuck everything else.
Made a youtube video that was more or less a parody. Some asshats claimed it. I disputed it, they rejected that dispute annnnd more or less my options were hope to high hell they drop the claim or let them file a DMCA against me. (If I disputed it again.) So I just said fuck it, acknowledged it, then deleted the video.
Meh. Boring day otherwise.
Forgot to mention but I think you guys would get a kick out of it- for my terrorism/intelligence/war analysis class, I'm debating on the side of Chechen insurgents against the Russian government next week.
Also thinking I might bring my girlfriend airsofting at some point. Dunno. She's too small to use most of my stuff but I think an MP5K might be her thing.
If you guys are interested in 1/6th scale stuff, this is the website I use to get all my gear and stuff for my figures
http://www.monkeydepot.com/
You can find the really detailed American soldiers on here too
I was WAY into 1/6th for like 5 years. I had all Dragon, BBI, Hot Toys, and all the best of the best. I still have over 100 figures, vehicles etc. I had 3 stuart tanks at one point, one of which was RC. I still have a Kubelwagon, a kettenkrad, a Willy's Jeep, and boxes upon boxes of modern weapons and gear. Almost all of which are multiple pieces, like you can disassemble them and remove the mags and crap. None of my stuff was ever GI Joe.
exhale syphilis
When I was inspired by Fallout 3, I would make 1/6th scale raiders, and my interpretation of the lone wanderer. Full contents in the packs, weathered shit, and home made armor for the raiders. God I miss building figures, taking sick pictures, then selling them way jacked up to fund more.
Being unemployed is pretty cool.
I ran out of soda and food though.
Not sure how I'm going to manage from here on out.

You lived in a barn for a while, so basically you are the toughest person I know because I can't even sleep in a bed without complaining. lol
I've never been big into models but I've got a couple Halo 1/6 figures, just one of Master Chief and a blue Spartan because I've loved the look of the armor. I've gotten other smaller game action figures as gifts but they're nothing too important.
But to make up for my lack of models and whatnot, the Colovian Fur Helm I had custom made should be coming in the mail shortly. That's what I'll have in place of other collectibles, and I'm damn excited. It almost makes me want summer to pass quickly so I can go back out in the cold and wear it. I'll be majestic and jump across the world. Here's a pic of it that the lady making it sent. I'M PUMPED
I actually just bought a 1:48 Huey model today. Pretty stoked to start building it.

Anybody here that can write in good, consistent Hebrew and wants to be responsible for my first tattoo? Just need gimel zayin yud written nice and bold like this:

I rather like how the yud came out, and would love for all three characters to be the same style.

what does it meeeaaaannnn???
Abbreviation of the Hebrew for "this too shall pass"
[editline]18th April 2014[/editline]
Also being able to write in Hebrew isn't mandatory. I can't write in Hebrew and I did well enough. Any attempts from aspiring typographers would be appreciated. Just need that bold scrolly look.
why hebrew?
