No no
I would say it's good to go if you live in the US. I try to stay away from US camouflages because it's kinda spergy to wear a UCP jacket around when you're not in the military, but most people probably won't recognize flecktarn. Then again, that might just be me. I don't even wear US camouflage when I play airsoft because it makes me uncomfortable. [editline]5th May 2014[/editline] also probably shouldn't take fashion advice from me anyway
I'd never wear ucp or woodland bdus, and the jacket is a gift from a german officer. and I have a practical reason, it's easier to find in the massive dogpile of jackets that happens at every meal.
the only cool fashion camos m81 rain camo (props 2 taiwaneseprick) splinter camo (dont tell anyone about the waffen ss) duck camo simple olive drab i cant think of any more right now, but these r probs the best EDIT: and P42!!!!!!!!!!

Although really if you don't want to look sperg you mostly just have to stay away from any digital patterns or anything tacticool. Don't be like the guy at my university who wears multicam pants and a black softshell every day.
lmao just got a 91% on a major stats test, despite the fact that I've done literally 0 homework and have been playing Pokemon in that class since 2 tests ago. Stats is so boring holy shit.
So I was just given this coat. I was wondering if anyone knew what it was?

to most americans dpm just looks like offbrand woodland, thus fashionable
I start my job as a Dominos delivery driver today, heres hoping i dont get stabbed!
Although really if you don't want to look sperg you mostly just have to stay away from any digital patterns or anything tacticool.
I'm pretty much good to go then. It's just a jacket, I won't even have a nametape or patches on it.
So I was just given this coat. I was wondering if anyone knew what it was?
Looks like the US Army raincoat I had. Is it fabric or is it nylon feeling
I start my job as a Dominos delivery driver today, heres hoping i dont get stabbed!
Worry more about accidents. I've said it before but if you get in an accident on the clock your insurance won't cover you, your employer will likely say to tell your agent you were off the clock, which essentially constitutes insurance fraud. So I'd look into that if you haven't already.
I start my job as a Dominos delivery driver today, heres hoping i dont get stabbed!
Great time to start slinging dimes if you're in to that kind of thing. Can't tell you how many times I would've loved a pizza guy with a dime.
Looks like the US Army raincoat I had. Is it fabric or is it nylon feeling
Good call! Further research led me to find it's a Vietnam era Military Raincoat. I like the way it looks, looking forward to the winter months now.
My friend guaranteed me a job at Five Guys today, I'm hella stoked to be making money though I have to save all of it to get a car before I move back to Orlando.
Good call! Further research led me to find it's a Vietnam era Military Raincoat. I like the way it looks, looking forward to the winter months now.
Yup. I got mine in a thrift shop for $10 when I volunteered there and I used to wear it a lot when I was a freshman before I realized what a stupid idea it was to wear a long coat to school. Also I had a vice principle pretty much outright tell me to stop wearing it. It looks like yours has an inner lining though, where mine was just the outer shell. But yeah, would be great for cold or wet weather. Heres mine [t]https://i.imgur.com/2UEKHjy.jpg[/t] it doesnt fit me anymore, but I have no reason to wear it anyway. I dont go out when its raining and if it's cold, I have other coats and jackets that fit better and are warmer [editline]5th May 2014[/editline] I was looking at the wiki article for Starship Troopers because I was curious who owned the rights and I saw this. Pretty funny considering how off the I Am Legend movie was from the book
Why is it a stupid idea to wear a long coat in school?
Why is it a stupid idea to wear a long coat in school?
columbine, trench coat mafia and all that shit. Plus it looks fucking stupid.
Why is it a stupid idea to wear a long coat in school?
In America(not sure about other places) Long coats are associated with hiding weapons/up to no good shit.
Oh. Because when I went to school, a lot of people wore long coats during the winter. CULTURAL DIFFERENCES
Oh my gawd. Last week I had shingles and one of the rashes was on the back of my head and now its gone and I have a really noticeable bald spot the size of a dime.
I was also looking into the 2011 prequel to The Thing, because the 1982 movie is one of my favorite movies of all time next to Alien, and Jurassic Park and I was really excited because I remember hearing that they used a lot of practical effects in the movie and to mean practical effects are almost always better then pure CG, but then I found out at the last moment, almost all the practical effects were digitally replaced. Its really sad because, in watching scenes from the movie, it really shows. Everything is too fluid and fast, whereas in the original, all the things moved slower and jankier, which only made them feel more unnatural and scary. Its really sad though looking at all the work the production studio put into the practical effects only for them to be replaced. Here's a link to their youtube page. https://www.youtube.com/user/studioADI I mean, look at this compared to this and then consider that had they used the practical effects they would have been touched up with CGI, which imo is the best looking option and films that have used this still hold up even today. Jurassic Park is over 20 years old and is still probably the most visually stunning movie ever made.
All this, plus its just a dumb ~edgy~ thing to wear. Not to mention I live in florida and I wasnt even wearing it when it would be appropriate to wear it.
How exactly is it ~edgy~ to wear a trench coat? Those bastards can be hella comfortable if you get a good one and (at least during the snowy conditions us Swedes suffer during winter), it can really shield you against the cold wind. It's a practicality thing, it's got nothing to do about being ~edgy~. At least not in my own experience.
Generally, High School kids in the United States buy into dumb trends and wear inappropriate clothing all year round in an attempt to make themselves look "cool" but in reality they're making themselves look terribly out of place. I'm pretty sure all of us Americans can look back on something we wore or thought was cool in High School or Middle School and cringe about it.

Trench coats have a social stigma here between the people that wear them to look "cool" and also because of the Columbine shootings. I mean theres nothing wrong with wearing a trench coat when its cold and windy out, but wearing one year round (which I was) is not a good thing
Okay, here's the deal. If you live in America and wear a trench coat, it's probably accompanied by a fedora and an MLP backpack for children. It's your call if that's what you want.
Holy shit that CGI scene was so stupid looking. It's a shame knowing they had such a badass prop and they went that route.
Holy shit that CGI scene was so stupid looking. It's a shame knowing they had such a badass prop and they went that route.
the reason they gave for redoing everything with CGI was that the movie "looked too 80's" when the whole point of using practical effects was to pay homage and look more like the '82 movie =I
