Basically the blame is almost always on the last person if there is no definite proof, they could all say they were stopped and he shunted them into each car because he was going too fast.
That could be disproved pretty easily though if the police did the proper assessments at the scene.
My fucking speeding ticket+traffic school was in the $400 range
What the fuck you guys are all lucky my speeding ticket was 2 grand.
... That's steep.
I had a collision once, what I believe actually happened was that a guy somewhere at the front suddenly braked hard when he noticed a speed camera, and then the next guy and guy behind the next one couldn't brake in time and bonk'd each other's backs. And I joined them (this is why I now always keep fucktons of distance from the car ahead of me). And because there was no witnesses and no proof that this actually happened, everything in cases like that goes to the last guy in the back. AKA me. So I was charged with causing a dangerous road situation. Initially it was supposed to be around $170, but it got cut in half because when I called my parents to come over, they had to ask our good neighbour to give them a ride. And he's a cop, and happened to know these who came round to the collision. So yeah, I'm lucky.
Still, $400 speeding ticket vs $170 for causing a collision? Was what fuck
I had this exact same thing happen to me a couple years ago. The cops decided not to charge me, but I had to cough up a lot to pay for repairs on all the cars ahead of me without insurance so my rates wouldn't go up.

What were the circumstances?
Class of my school was corrupt and I was forced to drop out
Graduation ceremony on Sunday for me, then some cruise thing they do every year that goes all night and ends at 5am or whatever, and I'm only going to do it if enough of my friends are. Because in the middle of it if it gets lame and I wanted to leave, then I'm SOL because it's on a boat.
Also I finished the first season of Derek on Netflix. Pretty good show in my opinion. It switches between feels and funnies, but it's not bad at all. And Kev is fucking hilarious. And if any of you are familiar with the show An Idiot Abroad with Karl Pilkington, he plays nearly the exact same character but it fits in so well.
explain
I was on medical leave for the larger part of the year, and when you are medically homebound the school provides tutors. They didn't provide me with half my tutors, always beating around the bush, gave the tutor the wrong phone number several times, always claimed they "didn't get a chance to find me one yet", by the end of the year the best I could've graduated with was a 50, so it was either fail, or drop out and get my GED (No summer school, too far gone) so I wasn't about to spend another 2 years in that place so I'm going to get my GED by the end of July, and hopefully attend College in the fall for Pharmacology.
Similarly, I went from a public middle school, to a private Christian high school, and then to a semi private charter school and the curriculum and overall culture of the schools were very different so I started doing poorly.
Eventually my poor choices in diet gave me a kidney stone and I stopped caring about school, dropping out a few months later.
I got my GED within two months after dropping out, and have since corrected my diet.
Life is good.

Oh my god I fucking love Karl Pilkington. An Idiot Abroad and The Moaning of Life are two of my all-time favorite shows. Guess I have to watch Derek too now if Karl plays his usual self.

70 in a 45, which is a "Super-Speeder" where I live (or was at the time, they've since changed the law). It was all kinds of shit. I was in for a $1700 ticket, $300 plus of driving school, a 2-year license suspension, possibly juvenile detention depending on how harsh they were with the charges. All for a fucking speeding ticket.
We ended up getting a lawyer and got the ticket lowered enough that it wasn't classified as a "Super-Speeder" anymore and I just had to take a driving class and look at some pictures of dead people. Although the lawyer ended up costing right around $1700 anyway, so I really just dodged the license suspension and possible juvie.
Last week, my dad got a "Super-Speeder" ticket (same exact place, slightly faster speed), but they changed all the rules between then and now so he's getting off with just an extra $200 fine on top of the ticket.
What the fuck. I got a 72 in a 50 and my ticket was like $134.
My father and I went 135 in a 45 and a cop went past in the other lane. He flashed his lights but didn't turn around lol.

Mine was 79 in a 55(24 over). The cutoff for whether or not you can take traffic school to keep your insurance from going up(and I assume also for the "super speeder" thing) is 25, so I lucked the fuck out

I was totally going over 80 before I saw the cop :downs:
goddammit :v:
Oh, at work yesterday this guy turned in a purse saying it was left in the parking lot. In order to figure out who to return stuff like this to we have to search it. Fucking >$700 in cash, 4 cards, her license, iPhone 4, and a bunch of other random crap. Could've made so much off that purse. My conscience prevailed though, and I contacted her and returned it with all it's contents shortly thereafter
I had the same issue with that helmet. I could totally have told the dude that I never got it and just kept it for free but lolconscience said no.
Also who the fuck keeps $700 in cash on their person jesus christ

That's when I graduate university if that counts.
apparently a kid wanted to shoot up my graduation with an ar-15
it's weird when that happens, i don't even feel like i recognize how fucked up that is. i knew the kid too he never seemed like a bad guy, said he hated my entire class though. guess that's the way it usually is with these things
we had one police officer there but it being montana i'm 100% sure there were atleast 10 guys with ccw; woo?
