i wish i was kidding, but i'm completely serious
me too
You have great parents man, my people let me sleep all day and just throw money at my problems. Stick with it and you'll thank them later I promise my guy.
well whats frustrating to me is that I was already planning to get a job, I already do work out almost every day, and I've only been waking up late because I've been going to a quite a few grad parties and hanging out with friends. And my version of waking up late is 10am.
The way they have been telling me this is whats pissing me off though. I understand what they are doing but it still feels a bit like overkill.
Well fuck this summer SO FUCKING MUCH. My parents are treating me like a GOD DAMN CHILD AND IT IS MAKING ME INFURIATED.
New rules;
-get a job or no vidya or handing out with friends all summer long
-expected to be up at 7am every day
-have to work out everyday or no vidya too
all part of their plan to make sure I "become an adult" and don't want to "stay and live in this house forever".
THIS IS NOT HOW YOU DO THAT. It works, but its an asinine way of doing it. No fucking way am I coming back next summer, going for my hiking/backpacking all over idea.
You're lucky that your parents will just straight up let you leave and not come back. Mine don't want me to leave it seems like.

If I didn't depend on them so much financially I'd just be like fuck you guys I'm out of here.
So I've had long hair that I haven't styled in the slightest for the past 3-4 years (with brief gaps of shorter hair in the summer) and for the first time I now have styled hair.
How do I gel I can't even
Guys my hair grows so fast I just shower and comb it back in the morning and then it does whatever it wants after that help

It's definitely not growing.
THEY ARE BOTH HITLERCARS
On the topic of Hitlercars, I'd drive a Kübelwagen any day.
The only similarity between the VW bug and a Porsche 911 is that they both have rear mounted motors. For a car that's only got a turbo 6, the Porsche is a pretty damn incredible car. It actually beat the McLaren in the LeMans. Also, for $150k+ I better be able to drive that car every damn day.
Well actually the Beetle is the original ancestor of the 911, the 911 was a direct replacement for the 356, which was designed as a sporting version of the beetle.
I'd also like to point out that while the Porsche 911 was voted as the 5th best car of the century, the VW beetle was voted 4th best.
But anyways, there's nothing wrong with 911's but I am of the camp that finds them to be nothing more than nice cars, its still exciting to see one but I don't much care for it. They fit into the same category as the Nissan GTR, Audi R8, and the Bugatti Veyron, in that they're all technically great but seem to be without a soul. I'd much prefer to have an Alfa Romeo that breaks down than a Porsche that wouldn't.
Instead of talking about inferior vehicles all day you should just get an 01-04 Toyota Tacoma like me.
You should also get big brush guards for them too so you can ram through chain link fences like in the movies.
I do this everyday with my truck.
Is this because it still doesn't have any brakes?
It's because I have to chase perps down back alleys and what not. They try to knock over fruit stands all the time to slow me down but because I have 4WD I don't give a fuck.
[editline]12th June 2014[/editline]
I don't even need brakes
I gotta go fast and brakes too slow

Went shooting again today. Ran through another 4 boxes of ammo in the Five-seveN much faster than I'd like to admit, but my groupings at 50m are getting p good, so I guess it was worth it. I also shot one of my prospective gun purchases, the PTR-91 (HK91). It was ridiculously cool to shoot and the fucking blastwave that comes from the muzzle is incredible, but I cannot afford $20 per magazine. Also shot an AKM, which was very cool and a fuckload cheaper to shoot, but not capitalist enough for my tastes.
Also had a productive but less-than-fun conversation with my parents about my future after college. Still planning on joining the military (probably Marines) as a combat correspondent. My mom's accepted it (she's not thrilled to say the least) and my dad told me he'd disown me if I joined the military (he was being serious but that's his fucked up way of saying he cares about me). Anyways I'm sure they'll come around to the idea sooner or later. It's certainly a better prospect than going into today's job market with a journalism degree and nothing else :downs:
Yay for sharing our problems on the internet!
Why are your parents against you joining the military? Are they Liberals? Socialists? Communists?
Surprisingly no, they're just over-protective and unable to fathom the idea of me being in danger.
Beats me why they would help pay for me to go to college and learn combat journalism in that case.
Staying on Staten Island, quite different from the islands I'm used to. The ferry was cool.
Started a new job on monday, I'm the assistant operations manager in a metallurgy factory.
So i'm in the middle of writing up some health and safety procedures, run of the mill stuff then the door opens next door and dave, the foreman of the production line steps out and just sings I'LL DO WHAT A WANT then lets out the biggest longest ripest wettest sounding fart, the slowest of burners. Then the women he shares his office with just shrieks JESUS DAVE FUCK. Then I just burst into laughter and I am giggling like a small schoolgirl at this point, just completely broken.
And the guy I share my office with smirks the strongest smirk and just nods his head while trying to stiffle back laughter and i'm making a fucking buffoon out of myself. Like third day in and i've already fucking lost it at a fart I'm glad I was mature and sensible enough to help be in charge of running a factory.

Weed got me through some really shitty depression I went through after I lost 3 friends in high school, but you gotta watch that it doesn't just become a vice. I was smoking it every other night for the longest time, then every night, then in the morning, then I was getting high at work. Eventually I was at the point where I was high all day, every day for about two or three months. You're still functional at that point because you have such a high tolerance but eventually (for me at least) it'll just get to your head and you'll start getting paranoid and it just won't be fun anymore. I still smoke, but just at night time now, usually 3-4 times a week. God, I forgot what it was like to get blasted after having such a high tolerance for so long.
Without it, music and my friends I probably wouldn't be here right now. Just make sure it doesn't consume your life. :) I think it comes down to perception as well, if you start to perceive weed as becoming a bad thing, that thought will enter your mind and it'll never leave till you take a break. Tolerance breaks help with this too.

You're probably one of the few weed users I know who isn't either massively paranoid or just a complete lazy fuckabout stereotype who just sits around all day.
Props stupidman.
also drugs are bad

There's a lot of people who live up to the stereotype, there's a lot that also break it. Just can't let that shit take over your life yunno? My motto is "use the drug, don't let the drug use you". My view of life and the world around me has been enlightened with experimenting, but experience varies. Respect sir!

Even though I used to be the hardcore "all drugs are evil" stereotype, I actually wouldn't mind trying weed at some point. Only problem is I don't know anyone in real life who smokes weed so I'd have no idea how to go about it.
Only problem is I don't know anyone in real life who smokes weed
You'd be surprised.
I make sure not to use it as a vice. I'm a strong believer in the idea that it should be a life-enhancer, and not be all that your life is about. Its definitely a big help with anxiety, and depression, but I won't deny that its something fun to do, too. I just make sure not to let it consume me, I stay active and spend a lot of time outdoors, try to spend minimal time on computer but thats kind of hard because its my only way to talk to friends. There was a period of about a month where it was a daily thing, and I realized that wasn't the life for me, and that I didn't enjoy it, so I stopped doing that. I've been having a rough few nights though, and its definitely why I'm still here.

WE LOVE YOU LOTS
You'd be surprised.
Before I started, I thought nobody did. Afterwards, I've realized that everyone up to my grandfather does. Its much more common than most people think, and you also have the fact that you're in Canada.
WE LOVE YOU LOTS
Gah you broke it
Plus all those studies and shit are like "20 percent of Americans have tried Marijuana" when in reality I'd say it's definitely more like 60-75 percent, and probably 30-35 percent of those who try it continue to smoke socially, at least once or twice a month.
[editline]12th June 2014[/editline]
I broke it again
[editline]12th June 2014[/editline]
So yeah taepo not everyone you know may smoke but I guarantee you AT LEAST one person you know knows someone.
