where'd you go??
Dead. School killed me. And I still have like 4 homework assignments, 4 quizzes, 4 labs, and an exam due. By Tuesday. All on material I honestly could not give a damn less about. For just one class. Fuck it, "As long as I make a C I'll be happy" mode engage
Hey guys I found him
This is actually even funnier to me because it's exactly what happened. Out of fukken nowhere I get a friend request on Facebook from this dude I've never met, start PMing him - come to find out it's Apoc. He tracked me down on Facebook because I randomly disappeared off IFAP for a while and he likes my guns. Operation: Facebook Search-And-Rescue was a success.
Somebody give this man a medal.
They make World of Warcraft and Halo ones too

They're fun
This is an oddly specific rant buuut
So when I was a kid my grandfather that got me super into games was also super into trains and train simulators like me. He used to buy all these expensive nice ones (from Auran or somethings Trainz series) that always just had fucktons of locomotives that had fully interactive cockpits, loads of cargo to haul, and so many routes you could never even drive them all. He even used to send me boxes of updates and addons burned to discs with handwritten instructions on how to install them and what they were, it was pretty much the best.
Thinking back on that nostalgia I decided to purchase train simulator 2014 as I'm well under my spending limit for this sale, it was only $8, and it looked quite good. It was by a different company, but hey, they'll probably be just fine.
FUCK THAT
The game only gives you like 5 locos, all with pretty shitty textures worse than the 2004 edition of the game I mentioned above. There are only 2 cargos per train. I tried to drive the Augsburg-Munich route in an ICE train, as I had taken that train while in Germany, but nooo I have to pay $20 for the route. The same kind of shit is everywhere. Locos and Routes are shown like you can drive them but you actually have to pay for them, and they're all fucking expensive.
ugh trian sims are serious business guys you don't even know. Don't get me started on the post-FSX flight sim era. Its pretty much DCS series or go home.
There's a reason for all the Train Simulator DLC jokes (that you probably should be aware of).
I did however buy endless space which pretty much has the best ingame OST since Deus Ex: HR imo

my MERGE
Wrote a bad review of my Merrell shoes on their site. Fucking holes...

(had em for about a year now and I'm really not that rough on them)
those aren't that good of a model. I recommend the MOAB ventilator mids.
[editline]27th June 2014[/editline]
On the other hand. I might pick up some salomons some time soon.
No, I even mentioned in my review that I'd have gotten MOABs (although waterproof because I deal with a lot of snow and rain up in 'scansin) if I could go back in time lol.
Although they have since improved them a bit.
MOABs are great. I've put mine through hell and if I washed the mud and dirt off, they'd look new.
It's official, out of anyone from my group of friends from high school that I still keep in contact with, I'm the only one who's still single. All because I took too fucking long to ask out that girl I like and only got to go on two dates with her before the school year ended.
On the plus side, I get to see her in 9 more weeks. But that feels like a fucking eternity :suicide:
i never even bothered to talk to the girl i like this year because i was too damn shy to do it
aaaand now its summer - not really anything i can do now (but pretty much my fault for chickening out)

I was planning to do it a lot earlier, like within the first month of the spring semester, but then she was sick for like two weeks so I had to build my confidence back up again after missing my chance when I was originally going to do it.
I just scored tickets to go be in the audience for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart in september.

Now I just gotta be there in time to check in
I don't know why but I find myself liking winter more and more now. Sure there's a lot of fun stuff to do when the weather is warm and sunny but I feel a kind of comfort wearing a big warm coat outside everywhere, and going to bed under warm heavier blankets. Warm fires and hot drinks and all that.
When it's hot out, you get sweaty doing anything physical and there aren't many pieces of clothing to take off to get cooler. You can't just cool off outside, you have to get in front of a fan/AC but then you feel uncomfortable from the dry sweat, or you have to splash water on your face or something. I guess I have it lucky since I'm surrounded by beaches and ponds I usually jump in after work but still. Sleeping at night is dreadful for me too if it's still hot. I fall asleep best with a blanket or something over me, and I can't really do that when it's hot as balls even with the thin ass sheet I use during the summer.
It was only a few months ago where I was tired of the shitty rain and cold and couldn't wait for the sun, but now I'm like, I'd rather it be cold again.
fat people like kath and I hate the summer
because no matter what
sweating ensues

Try being outside doing carts all day when it's really hot out and you're fat. Sweat everywhere, ballsack feels like it's in an aquarium, etc.

I make where ever I go make Japan post tsunami look like high tide. New oceans are formed, entire continents being washed away, millennia of history washed away in the blink of an eye. Hopes, dreams, visions of the future, all gone. Nothing but salty seas; more and more they rise covering the highest peaks, making them but mere rocks poking out from a endless briny grave. And they still do not cease rising. Heights only reserved for the most daring pilots are now drowned. And still higher it goes. The ISS, once the worlds crowning achievement of sending people to live in the sky, now die at the deepest depths. The world's retinue of artificial satellites soon follow. Only at the point once the forces of gravity and surface tension are unable to hold anymore down does the planet stop swelling like a balloon. It is now more more water than rock, the world it once was crushed under an untold amount of pressure. All life is now dead, even aquatic. The new unfathomable depths disrupted the oceanic ecosystems to the point of total extinction. The planet is dead. A dead world with dead seas. Earth has one final tear to shed; itself. It then resigns to its fate and becomes forgotten to the universe, another drop of water in an endless sea.
I sweat a lot
and I live in florida
it sucks

My folks left town for a two week vacation, and the day after they left the AC stopped working, so there's fuckall I can do about it and it's in the upper eighties outside. I feel like I'm back in Nairobi, sitting in the shade, feeling the sweat slowly drip down my back, waiting for the buzz of tsetse flies.
I never thought I'd say this, but I'm almost starting to miss Rochester.
florida weather does suck
80 degree weather for most months
its really bipolar
it will be really sunny outside then the next minute it will be pouring and thundering
also ive never seen snow before in my life, except for when i was really little and our family had to make an emergency stop at detroit (the snow was melted for the most part tho)
The air conditioning barely works at my workplace, but I have my sweet 5.11 Polo so I don't have to wear the jacket all day anymore, so it's more reasonable.
At home I have an air conditioner in my room. Whenever I leave my room I go "Woo, hot out here." every single time and now my family hates me.

Its cool, if you remember how small my room is you can imagine what its like in here with no A/C, especially with the one tiny window that leads into an alley that leads into another alley.
On the plus side, I finally put in a window unit about a week ago and its actually comfortable in here again, which is great since I now spend the vast majority of my time out of the house.
I live(ed) in Hawaii so honestly I really don't have much to contribute to the climate hate discussion :I

I like the aesthetic of winter, as well as some winter activities, but I'm 5'11" and all of 135lbs. so when it's like 10F for three straight months it does not bode well for me.
Illinois is fun. We get the coldest parts of the winter and the hottest parts of the summer. It was down to -40 this past January, and 2 summers ago we had a couple weeks in July where it was constant 90-100 temps.
[editline]28th June 2014[/editline]
Summer is the worst though. Being 6'4" and 270lb basically turns me into a fountain in anything over 78 degrees.
Encounter at Farpoint is amazing.
