God I love CCP. Every expansion gets a new music theme and this current one is all about industry and production.
So they made something that sounds like a futuristic factory. I don't really know, I just know it sounds amazing.

Well 50 rounds of that is British Army match-grade ammo which I'm saving for if I take the Enfield hunting. Otherwise, it's hard to justify just plinking the rest of it away on the range since I can't buy any more literally anywhere
I found a couple boxes of ammo at the Gibraltar Trade Center gun show, I don't remember how much they were going for, though.
I started watching Star Trek again after a little break and the first episode was the one with Lal
it made me cry =(

I've been going through a bunch of The Next Generation lately, highly recommendable.

I decided to rewatch all of TNG, because while I've seen most of the episodes I'd never really watched it start to finish.

Anime is satan. Stop throwing your life away.
damn those saytanic animays corruptin' our youth
today, for the first time in over 2 years I found .30 Carbine ammo in stock. I was able to load all 10 of my magazines to capacity and I still have 3 more boxes. It feels like christmas
Oh man you have no idea how fucking hard it is for me to get .30 carb
I only have a Gander Mountain locally for ammunition and a Dicks for literally hours in every direction. I used to buy .30 carb offline but they made it illegal to do that in NY State so as far as I'm concerning .30 carb is a mythical cartridge not meant for mortal consumption.
So, I absolutely love my 870 Express.
I'm finding it every bit as enjoyable to shoot as an AR-15, and the level of precision I can acquire using a single bead sight is sort of shocking.
It's digested everything I've given it except Remington Gun Club Target loads, which I now believe were intended for a break barrel shotgun.
I can't wait to go put another 100 shells through this gun.

Well it's all out of stock online anyways. Unless you want to literally throw your money away shooting $2 hollowpoints

Can confirm. Saw Cowboy Bebop and Neon Genesis over the past week. 5/5 would throw my life away.

What's the issue with the Gun Club Targets? I've heard that recent Remingtons have had improperly polished chambers, and that causes cheaper target loads to stick sometimes in the chamber and need some force to open the action. If that's the case then you can polish that chamber right up by chucking a bore brush in a drill and wrapping it in steel wool, then feeding it through the chamber. I had extraction issues with those shells in my 1887 until I polished the chamber. Works great now.
Anyways, on the subject of sci-fi I just rewatched Firefly and it's unpopular opinion time: The more I watch and analyze Firefly, the less I like it. The style of sci-fi-meets-Western in particular, which I think is the most distinctive part of the show, is really clumsily done, because it seems like there is no real attempt to reconcile the two styles. You'll have episodes where everyone dresses and talks like extras from Gunsmoke, performing a classic Western plot (like The Train Job or Heart of Gold), then the next episode is modern/sci-fi time with mob bosses and bureaucrats (like Bushwhacked or War Stories). It's a combination of two disparate themes that could work well combined, but the show doesn't actually combine them and explore that, they just happen to co-exist in the same universe in sometimes jarring juxtaposition.
On top of that, the ensemble cast is too big for one season (although I recognize that that's not their fault), the story arc takes its time to get going and doesn't really go anywhere when the series finishes (then being hurriedly resolved in Serenity), and the writing is so-so. Some people seem to really like Joss Whedon, I dunno- he was responsible for Alien Resurrection, after all.
After watching Cowboy Bebop recently, I'm starting to think that that show did the Western-in-space theme more consistently, and did better in a few other ways. Both shows were approximately the same screentime length, plus a movie, but I feel that the smaller cast of Bebop led to more character development and better explored an ongoing plot than the unfocused story of Firefly, and the element of Spike's backstory is slowly revealed to be a driving force in the plot, as opposed to Mal's/Zoe's war history which provides some character insight but aside from The Message doesn't significantly matter to the show. As far as narrative themes go I walked away from Bebop feeling like I'd seen a piece of good cinema, with how it explores the idea of history and how the past affects who people are, whereas with Firefly I thought it was a fun romp but essentially intellectual junk food.
So tl;dr I think Firefly is alright but it's not my favorite sci-fi series (not that Bebop is either) and honestly I think a fair number of the more rabid fans are superficial about why they like it. It'd be nice if it got at least a second season but to be honest I can think of other shows that more deserved continuation. Thoughts?
Totally agree with you on the space western genre, cowboy bebop does it wayyy better than anything else I've seen.
I'm a very big fan of Trigun.
I don't know what's worse, the fact that it's part of the "black series", or the fact that one of the accessories is motherfucking Jango Fetts head

Update on my G3 situation:
Looks like I'm buying this guy's upgraded Marui MC51 with 7-8 midcaps, and with a CA33KA3 front-end on it but with the original MC51 collapsing stock for $270 shipped to me all the way from Hawaii.
Won't post pics right now since he hasn't put the KA3 front on it and it just looks like any other MC51, but once he swaps front ends I'll show it off.
And I also just got a message from another guy wanting to sell me a RIS for the 33, apparently he's got enough parts to almost build a whole new 33E.
anything tm G3 is going to have horribad externals
anything tm G3 is going to have horribad externals
rude
I had one, the externals were absolute shit, what do you want me to say
Moot point is moot.
I know where to get CA body kits.
Plus nothing can possibly be as bad as my old PSG-1 or Marui's FAMAS. They both creak like a haunted house.

Stock and CA33KA3 front end (not counting the handguards, obviously, unless I buy that guy's RIS) should be metal, which only leaves the receiver. Now I just need to convince myself to actually, y'know, spend the money on a CA receiver kit.
[editline]9th July 2014[/editline]
Also, on the subject of G3/CA33 front ends, what's this little clip on the handguard even for? The one held in by a phillips screw. I don't think I've ever seen anyone mount anything on it.
[t]http://www.classicarmy.com/images/product_detail/20140127102512_2169.jpg[/t]
thumbed because holy fuck hi-res
My problems were the handguard, and the receiver. The receiver is made of unbelievably thing plastic. If I had to go back, I wouldn't own that gun unless the receiver and entire front assembly were replaced.
I plan on buying a metal body for it. Might not be until next month though, they're like $100 or so plus shipping from what I've been able to find so far.

Replaced the stock with a G3A4 one and replaced the plastic handguard with a metal rail.
I don't hear any creaking hehehe
