At my dorm they signed for it sometimes, and decided not to other times.
fucking sucked ass
Never had any packages that needed signing, so I'm gonna ask a dumb question. What happens if nobody signs? Does the delivery guy just leave and come back the next day?
Come back the next day, usually.
See I've always wanted to be a cop, but I was thinking (especially because you need to be 21 in order to apply to be any sort of LE officer) that maybe doing something like Loss Prevention beforehand would be nice. What kind of requirements were your current (and former) employers looking for when you applied for the job?
Security Guard license may or may not be a requirement but it's usually good to get anyway. In NY it's an eight hour course you pay for, $100 fingerprints and than you pay like $20 and send it all to Albany and get your license back.
And experience. So you get whatever job you can, stick with it for awhile than apply to better places when you have experience to put on an application. So Best Buy and Toys R Us don't need experience usually if you're a decent kid but that being said I know for a fact Best Buy is hell but if you deal with it for like 8 months that's more than enough to get some good experience under your belt. Tack on random LE or college stuff like criminal justice.
I got to go on the roof today.
It was like the music video for Turn Down for What.

For me, UPS and FedEx come back the next day and try again. USPS does the same, but also gives me an option to come and pick up the package at the sorting office the next morning if I don't wanna wait, which is really nice because I don't wanna wait.
My incognito AR-15 is being shipped signature required. Just telling my parents it's BBWarz stuff if they happen to be the ones signing for it since I have no fucking clue when it will be here (thanks PSA).
Pegboard or Fast Track for gun wall?
I have a peg board and I like it
I have a peg board and I like it
can it hold up metal gats
i heard a guy put up 3 aks and it fell off overnight, damaging the wall and his weapons

Theres a picture somewhere that I cant seem to find with four or five rifles and four or five pistol on my one board, from one of the times Wulf visited. And one of those was an LM4, which are known to be made of dark matter.
Well he is kind of Asian, so uhh....
what i mean is he changes from picture to picture, in one he looks like a really white guy, but if he does a different expression he looks really asian and vice versa
you should compete with wayehong to see who can morph their face the most
Went shoe shopping today, only found a few pairs of shoes in my size. (U.S. Size 14)
Got these pretty sweet Sketchers with a memory foam sole, they're comfy as fuck!
I have a peg board and I like it
For reference I also have a fast track wall and like it. I think I have a pic around here somewhere of it holding a similar amount of guns.
I will say that with pegboard, you get more adjustability between pegs (i.e. pegs on different heights to make one gat sit level) whereas, depending on the spacing of fast track you get (mine is quite large) you kind of lose that ability.
/k/ never fails. In true 4chan fashion, it looks like a big black cock from above.

So there's a perfectly good Volkswagen Beetle in my moms garage that used to belong to my great aunt and I kinda want it really badly.
I don't have a drivers license but I want this car goddamnit.

Asked mother dear and it turns out it's not a "perfectly good" Volkswagen. The brakes are fucked, it spews more CO2 than it should, and it's 6 volts rather than 12 volts which is used more in modern cars (she wrote "2-volt" but I assume she meant 12). And also apparently the rust in the edges is so bad it needs to be re-rewelded. Lots of work basically. Might be worth it though...
[editline]28th July 2014[/editline]
Still though, the interior and exterior is in generally pristine condition, and it's only ever had one other owner (being my great aunt, she got it in the 60s when it was produced, I believe). So yeah, fixing it up might be worth it.
CO2 wont be an issue, i was under the assumption that emissions laws generally stick to diesels, and that car'd probably just get grandfathered in anyhow.
Breaks can be a pain but it's doable, it being 6v is fine, if you really need to replace the battery they're not hard to come by in the slightest.
Rust is probably gonna be your biggest issue, but if you wanted to put some time/money into it, you could have a pretty nice car on your hands
[editline]28th July 2014[/editline]
I aint a big VW guy but the Bug, the Thing, and the Van always were such awesome cars, how can you say no :v:

Yeah we have like a law thing so cars after a certain year are veteran-status and emission laws don't apply to them. Also, no taxes.
I'm no mechanic though, so I'd have to get help doing everything. Might be able to get my stepdad to help out, he knows this shit. Otherwise that's an investment on its own.
But around 260 dollars to replace the brakes on every wheel (assuming it's just the discs that are broken), 160 dollars for a new battery, and somewhere between 220-440 dollars to fix all the rust (unless it's just the outer body in which case fuck it, no worries since it's hardly noticeable).
All-in-all 720 dollars or so.
Hm...

Hey dude, in comparison, my 92 volvo 240 ran about 6k in total including work done on it, and it was in a similar condition to that thing, but with a shitton less rust. 720 for a little cruiser like that is fucking great, especially seeing the condition of that interior. I like my rally setup i've got going on in my car, but oh momma the inside of that bug looks cosy

Yeah, good point! I sat down in the bug and while it has that Old Car Smellâ„¢ it's sooOOOO nice to sit in. Super-comfortable seats. they're like sofas in a car.
Also GREN says your Volvo cost so much due to the scarcity of spare parts, raising the prices. Over here we're swimming on spare parts for Volvo cars. :v:

Bad News Tho: Mother dearest says it was a gift from her aunt so it likely won't go to me anyway, even if I bought it. Funny thing is they've already discussed selling it so I guess I'm not allowed to buy it or something v:v:v
Also, she says it's "not the kind of car you cruise around in, it's worth too much". As if it's impossible to drive an expensive old car without also caring for it in the process.
Bullshit, I see plenty of old cars worth more than that being driven around. Sounds like your mom's just making excuses.

Yeah, she's pretty good at that. There's a lot of reasons I moved to my dad on the other side of the country.
Might just get a Volvo 740 instead. Cheap, durable, and they'd actually help paying for it once I get my drivers license. It's not a Beetle, but I can work with it.
Just heard about a casting call for extras for a Historical TV Drama, shooting from Sep this year until early 2015. They want people with experience in Historical Re-Enactment, Archery, Swordfighting or with Military Experience. I was part of an Archery club for about 2 years and just sent an email asking for more information, because it would be totally awesome to be paid to loose arrow after arrow in battle scenes for TV!
remember how i was super excited to be going to the aquarium with my cute cousin that i had a crush on but it's okay because we're not actually related?
it happened
