I disagree, Celsius is better for temperatures because the base of it all is that 0 degrees is when water begins to freeze and 100 degrees is when it begins to boil.
I feel that a temperature scale where 50% of it would be considered lethal to humans shouldn't be used for describing normal weather. For logic and science Celsius blows Fahrenheit out of the water (because who the fuck cares about the temperatures for brine???), but it simply isn't precise enough for weather conditions without using tenths of a degree, which is just excessive.
Reznor puts on a hell of a show, dude.
You were right. They do a good job with the lighting too, they had screens constantly moving around the stage to accompany them and it looked so damn cool. I'm glad I went, I was considering not going and saving my money but my dad said he'd help me pay for the ticket. I got my ticket a few weeks ago and I was like 35 feet from the stage, closest I've been. Death Grips would have been insane to see too but I think Soundgarden played a bit longer instead which was pretty nice, and their bassist was great especially at the end. He and the guitarist were holding notes for the longest time at the end, cranking up the speakers and you could feel your whole body vibrating, it was crazy.

Fahrenheit just never made sense to me just because there's no real usable frame of reference for everyday applications (0ºF is the cooling point of brine? 100ºF is the average core temp of humans? whyy), whereas when someone says "below zero" in Celsius, where water'll freeze, you can assume: Cold! Possibly Ice & Snow! (Drive safe!!) The fact that Celsius has replaced Fahrenheit for everyday use in everywhere but USA since like mid-20th century makes it pretty clear cut for me, but again subjectively, just depends what you're used to.

Above 100 degrees and its generally too hot for any sort of outdoor activity, and below zero generally means its too cold for any sort of outdoor activity. The rest of the scale is for you to get a very good idea of how it actually feels outside, which helps a lot with transition temperatures (like when you're not sure if you should bring a jacket or not). Throw in humidity and wind chill and the smaller distances between temperatures make it a lot more accurate. Sure, it might not make a lot of difference compared to Celsius, but why would you ever want vaguer numbers for making measurements? That just seems backwards to me.
Mm, fair point. I grew up with Celsius though, both in Indonesia and in Canadia so it just makes more sense to me lol Strange because Fahrenheit seems like the only instance that has a broader range than it's metric equivalent.
So RDJ can sing, too. Who knew. He's actually pretty damn good.

Recently I've been having people pay me to clear viruses and stuff off their computers, it's been some easy money. People really just need to learn to be careful with what they download. The worst though is the computer I have right now. They have Norton installed and they thought they would be protected from everything. Let me just say that Norton is a terrible program.

I eventually sent it to everyone else over email to see if they could open it too." which means we get about 5 people on a field trip to spend the night at whichever offending office did this again either reimaging the computers or attempting virus scans which usually mean we reimage.

rant time A few years back my parents bought an Xbox 360 for the family. It wasn't for anyone in particular, just one we shared. After I went to college, my brother decided it was cool to just fucking sell the Xbox for his own personal profit and keep the money for himself. My parents for some reason could care less that he just up and sold it like that and now I've got no Xbox. Fuck that makes me mad. Even worse, we used to have a family Wii, but my brother decided to smash it for fun one day and my parents could give a shit about that too. This all sounds really whiny, I know, but it pisses me off that I no longer have an Xbox because my brother decided he wanted $50 for himself.

He also keeps drinking up all the god damn orange juice, and he doesn't even live here.

Just think, if that guy that died hadn't stopped over and had come directly home to the US instead, he could have infected his entire family and everyone they came in contact with. This shit's serious and there's no cure. You bleed from every orifice and your insides turn to liquid, it's a terrible way to die. I cannot comprehend why we haven't shut down all travel to and from that area. I can't be the only one who's ever played Pandemic 2 - we need to follow President Madagascar's lead and SHUT. DOWN. EVERYTHING. No but really. If this makes it to the US it could do a lot of damage.

It only spreads in poor places because there's no hygienic standards. If you shit your guts out, it'll get cleaned up here. In those poor places, sick people can walk around without getting quarantined. They can spread it. While here, they'd just put you in quarantine and you die or you live.
Just got back from the vet. Apparently I'm going to be losing a friend in the next five days.
I bet your friend had the best life he/she could have wanted :) Losing a pet is the same as losing a close family member, good luck man.
Yeah, I still remember the feels when we had to put down my old cat. We got her as a kitten when I was a little kid, her and I literally grew up together. Shit's tough, man.
It's not like it isn't his time. He's my age. The vet was just such an insensitive prick. He treated euthanasia like a joke, when we're dealing with a life. He's not suffering, and euthanasia should not even be an option because of that. But that jackass was insisting upon it like nothing else could be done. It's absolutely unacceptable to cut a life short like that. Had I let the vet kill him, I wouldn't be able to live with myself. I'd feel like a murderer. There's no reason to not let him go naturally when he isn't in pain. It doesn't matter if it's just a few days that he has left. And the fuck face was just treating it like it meant nothing. That's my god damn friend. He isn't disposable. I thought vets were supposed to be the most passionate of all medical professionals, but the guy we had to deal with today was just a prick.
I do notice some vets that i know do have a little bit of a twisted sense of humor.
If I was a vet I'd kinda find it hard to deal with those things really. One thing that I personally find comforting is that your pet knows you do everything you can to make it happy. It had a good life and that's all you can do really.
That feeling when you've finally finished the last class of a semester and you're just like "Okay.... now what?" [editline]31st July 2014[/editline] Also, anyone know where I can get a trademarked 4x32 ACOG that doesn't involve waiting a month for it to arrive from China?
